In short, there is no question that the corona virus pandemic, after triggering a global recession as numerous countries went into lockdown, has left us feeling vulnerable and uncomfortable much like other countries around the world. Now in the wake of many recent eye-opening events that have dominated the headlines, the entire world’s eyes are upon the USA. Historic prejudice and repressive governments, peering through the lens of many activists abroad, are sounding the alarm. Cynical voices, including critics of the U.S., have questioned Washington’s authority to talk about human rights internationally. The chaotic insurrectionist attempt on the US Capitol building that occurred in January 2021, caused World leaders to react with horror when then US president Donald J. Trump and his supporters refused to accept that he had lost the November’s presidential election. People around the world continued watching in horror when on January 13th, the first sitting president of the United States of America, ever to be impeached twice, was charged with inciting the US Capitol insurrection. Many Americans are frightened for our country – so many angry, mean, emboldened divided people. Indeed, it does make one wonder – what next? Many are asking what to do when constantly seeing chaos, hearing bad news, feeling uncertainty, facing difficulties, living in fear. They question our values. What if the world’s leading democracy refuses to honor its values, they argue – then what is the point? If the highest office in the world is no longer honorable, if the greatest decision making authority in the world is confused,

Although the last few years have worn people out in almost every way with much disruption, discouragement, and depression, the Christian, should not panic. Simple techniques to adopt in our everyday living to for life’s enjoyment. 1.Simply stop and breathe unless someone is chasing you with a knife. Good breathing exercises are always a winner but choosing to stop in the middle of the street is probably not a wise thing to do so avoid your nemesis or antagonist at all costs. 2.Learn your triggers but don’t tell your enemy. SPIRITUAL INTIMACY By Alvetta Green
We must know and understand, spiritual intimacy and natural intimacy are two different things. Though, in general, they both happen at a given period of time. The difference between the two is natural intimacy (two people physically or spiritually connecting with each other for a period of time) for one day or on multiple occasions for a period of time. Spiritual Intimacy is with God. To have spiritual intimacy with the Lord, you must develop a spiritual relationship with the Father in heaven. Your relationship with the Lord is a process within itself. Yes, the Lord hears and answers short or long prayers but the development of spiritual intimacy happens as you daily seek the Lord with an increased prayer time in communing and supplication with the Lord. Spiritual Intimacy starts with dreams concerning yourself and your life. As you advance and grow in your prayer time, the Lord will entrust you with things concerning other people. His voice will begin to develop to you audible and you will learn Him speaking in His silence. Finally, when you have reached the point of no return in your prayer time with the Lord, meaning: you will meet with the Lord daily in prayer and not break your communication for anything or anybody. The Lord will begin to give you revelations, show you mysteries, unknown tongues and visits to heaven, angelic visitations and to meet him face to face in His angelic form, which is how the Lord looked when He walked the earth.
"Spiritual intimacy starts with dreams concerning yourself" In my conclusion, spiritual intimacy is a dining experience. As you walk closely with the Lord in building your relationship with Him, enjoy sitting at the table and enjoy the feast of the Lord, Jesus our Father.

BIRTH OUT OF THE FIRE By Lisa Harris Photos by The trees stood tall in the night sky. On the last night of Girl Scout camp, by a large campfire, each scout shared her gifts and talents as a thank you and a goodbye. The night before, I asked God: “What should I share and what's my gift?” I always loved writing, and under the stars, He gave me words to a poem titled, Camp Goodbye. The poem was a thank you, a celebration of the scout experience, and my hopes for our future. It was received with tears. In my spirit, I knew God would use the power of words prayerfully, to encourage, inspire, comfort, laugh, educate, question, love and celebrate. Writing frees me. I connect with who I know myself to be along with discovering the unexplored parts. My words are my true self. They express my joy, pain, fears, possibilities, and the sensuality of my soul as a person and as a woman. I find joy in writing plays, scripts, short stories, and poems for people and events.
I grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey with two beautiful parents, Barbara and Charles Harris. They grew up poor and determined to create a better life for their daughter, family and community. My mom did not go to college but as a leader in Elizabeth's Women's Scholarship Club, she raised money for girls to attend college. My father attended Delaware State College after leaving the Army. For more than forty years, he dedicated his life to education. He was a teacher, administrator, and civil rights activist. They truly made a difference. My words are shaped by my upbringing, a passion for people and a purpose greater than self. I attended Hampton University as an undergraduate. My love of writing was fueled by my senior thesis for Mass Media Arts, a “must pass” assignment to graduate. My thesis was titled, The Psychological and Sociological Impact of The Wiz and The Wizard of Oz. Through research, I discovered that very little statistical data and analysis comparing and questioning elements of each movie existed. Honing my skills
to complete my thesis established the foundation of my poetic work and gave rise to poems such as I Knew I Was Different, Ventilator and many others. To this day, every time I hear Diana Ross sing "Brand New Day" or Lena Horne belt out "Believe in Yourself," I am always inspired. I am also a proud and active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and its commitment to serving our communities. After graduation, I held various leadership positions at Ford Motor Company while also pursuing an MBA, which I received from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Notably, I wrote and read a poem for the dean and my classmates at graduation. "I’m laid back guy who enjoyed to laugh, shop, travel, spending time in front of the camera"
JOCELYN CASTOR
I’m laid back guy who enjoyed to laugh, shop, travel, spending time in front of the camera. I love spending time with family, staying up to date with the new press and enjoy connecting with God. I have three sisters. Two of my sisters lives in Queens NY and the 3rd lives in Maryland. Growing up in New York was good but my future didn’t look bright as a child. With my mother working two full time jobs and I growing up without a father made life tough for me. I had to do the best I could and was lucky I didn’t give my life up to the streets. As a child I wanted to be fire fighter, model and an Actor. Looking back, I did come close and it amazes me of how we can make a dream a reality. It’s absolutely amazing sharing the stage with actors and actresses. I enjoy sharing ideas, making suggestions and just having fun off and on the camera. One tip that was provided to me during rehearsal for a stage play was ways to catch my audience’s attention by projecting my voice towards the audience rather than on the stage. Interesting question. I do have a favorite order and the order is Modeling, Acting and TV Celebrity Journalist. The reason for that is because that’s the order I begun working each stage. Yes, becoming a TV Celebrity Journalist wasn’t in my vision but once that opportunity came to me, I accepted the offer. I remember the first celebrity’s interviewed which was Lateshia Pearson, I was extremely nervous but I was able to keep calm. Now interviewing celebrities is effortless and I have so much fun doing it. It was already written. There’s absolutely nothing I would do differently. I set my goal to pursue modeling and acting and things has been going great by the grace of God!! He’s amazing and his timing for your prayers to be answered will always be on his timing. So I’ll continue to be patient for my blessings.

Each Mayan temple has its own story and captivating past. However, make sure you don’t miss Chichen Itza, by far the most famous Mayan ruins in Mexico. The famous El Castillo pyramid, one of the new seven wonders of the world, will appear in all its grandeur. Just make sure you bring comfortable shoes for walking and climbing, along with water, a hat, and plenty of sunscreen! 8. Spa and wellbeing What would a vacation be without some pampering self-time? Hearing Your Purpose By
Dr. Timothy A. Day
How to hear and understand God’s purpose for your life Purpose! Do you hear God speaking to you about your purpose here on earth? Countless numbers of theologians and scholars have attempted to answer the age-old question of what is my purpose?Through the years I have studied the subject of purpose by reading such books as Pastor Rick Warren’s best-seller Purpose Driven Life “What on Earth Am I Here For?”, Henry Blackaby’s “Experiencing God”, as well as a number of devotionals and self-help books that have so eloquently discussed the subject of purpose. This chapter will focus on hearing God’s voice in discovering His purpose for our life. I have been told throughout the years that your destiny is chosen by God but its fulfillment is decided by you. Do you hear God’s voice speaking to you about His purpose for your life? In Psalm 29:3 - 4, David said, “The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.”God’s voice is evident throughout creation. However, we are not always listening nor are we in a position to hear God speaking to us. The phrase “the voice of the LORD” is found in scripture 239 times. To hear the voice of the LORD means to hear God speaking to your heart. The heart also means mind as it is referred to in the scripture. In Proverbs 4:23 NIV, Solomon warns his readers to “guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life.” The NCV translation in Proverbs 4:23 says, “Be careful what you think because your thoughts run your life.” Deuteronomy 28:1- 14, the key to showing one’s obedience to the LORD is faithfully obeying the Voice of the LORD. The word “IF” means that the promises are conditional assuming the listener hears and obeys the Lord’s voice. Deuteronomy 28:1“Now if you faithfully obey the voice of the LORD your God and are careful to follow all His commandments, I am giving you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings will come upon you and overtake you, if you will obey the voice of the LORD your God. In Deuteronomy 28:15, Moses warns of grave consequences if the reader disobeys the LORD by not hearing the Voice of the LORD.
MOGUL LEADERS MAGAZINE 42
“However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees, I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you:” (Deuteronomy 28:15) Notice in the text that while the Blessings of Obedience will overtake the listeners who faithfully obeys, likewise, the Curses of Disobedience will overtake the listener who willfully decides to disobey the LORD by not hearing his voice. Whereas the Blessings of Obedience are from verse 1 to verse 14, the Curses of disobedience are from verse 15 to 68. As you can see, there is grave danger to the person who decides not to listen to the LORD’s voice. To willfully not hear the voice of the Lord will ultimately lead to one not fulfilling the purpose God has put you on earth to do. This is a good place to point out that sin could stop us from hearing God’s voice in our life. James 4:17 NKJV reads, “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” Isaiah 59:2 says, “Your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God.” Ever since the fall of man in Genesis 3 with Adam and Eve’s sin in the Garden, man has lost his perfect communication with God. When Adam and Eve heard the voice of the LORD in the garden in Genesis 3:8 -10, they were overcome by fear and hid from the LORD. Sin stops us from hearing God’s voice in our lives. God is Holy.He can have no sin before him. Romans 6:23 NIV reads, “The wages of sin is death.” In this scripture the text is referring first to a spiritual death due to a contrite heart. Psalm 66:18 NLT reads, “If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.” The heart is the key to our hearing and God responding to our request. Let me encourage you that there is still hope for anyone who may fall short of God’s mark. My pastor friend David Stancil always said “Christians do not sin less than anyone. We sin more than we want to. ”Roman 3:20 NKJV reads, “All have fallen short of the glory of God.” If you have identified that your sin has led you to not hearing the LORD’s voice in your life, I recommend that you pause for a moment to simply confess your sin to the LORD. 1 John 1:9 NIV reads, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There is no time like the present. If you are still with me up to this point, then I have good news for you. God has an amazing plan for you and me for his redemption plan. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV reads, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and or not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

How and Why God Prepares Us for Purpose
by Pastor Herman and Co-Pastor Shineka Dixon Question: If God gave you
one million dollars and then told you to give eighty percent of it away, could you, do it?
I would be remised, no, completely out of line, if I did not start by highlighting the fact that our thoughts about purpose are NOTHING like God’s! God Himself affirms this in Isaiah 55:8-9, when He declares that “as far as the Heavens are from the Earth, so are His ways and thoughts higher than ours.” One thing is true. You will never really understand your purpose until you understand a few things about God’s character, nature, existence and how He prepares us for our purpose. I would like to thank Dr. Posey for gathering several authors to help you reach your purpose. Warning: Bear in mind, we each only have one chapter to explain an eternal concept. We don’t have time to sugarcoat anything, or placate to egos, but rest assured that everything said will be seasoned in love and grace. You ready? Let’s begin. In the Book of Revelations Chapter 1, the Father gives us an amazing clue to how He operates. After telling us that He loved, adopted, and cleansed us, He gives us a look into His existence in verse 8 when He declares: “I am THE Alpha and THE Omega, THE Beginning and THE End,” says the Lord, “Who Is, Who Was and Who Is to Come, the Almighty.” Simply put, God is “the Alpha and the Omega,” He is “the Beginning and the End.” Notice that scripture did not say that He is “an” alpha, “an” omega, “a” beginning, or “a” end. Words like “a” and “an” are nonspecific. If there can be “an” alpha there can be “another or several” alphas. If there is “a” beginning and “a” end, there could be multiples starts and finishes. The term “the” however points directly to Him. No one else can be the beginning of a thing and the end of it at the same time. He is Lord (Owner of owners, Ruler over all rulers). His way will always have preeminence. He has all authority and the ability and strength to do anything about what He desires. This concept holds true in all languages that the bible is translated in. There are no exceptions. God is the be all and end all of all things. EVERYTHING, including our purpose, must start and end with Him. He is the absolute final authority, and nothing happens outside of His presence. No matter how small, big, insignificant, or intricate, if it is going to last and stand the test of time and eternity it must somehow honor God.
Revelations 1 also gives us a glimpse as to how God’s existence prepares us for our purpose. Almighty God declares that He is Who Is, Who Was, and Who Is to Come. To the natural eye, one would think that there is something wrong with this statement. The natural chronological order of time should be Who Was, Who Is and Who Is to Come. But to the spiritual eye however, one would see this as right on target. You see, God is not bound by time or even our understanding about it. He told the prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5 “that before He formed him in his mother’s womb, He knew him. Before he was born, He set him apart, and ordained him to be a prophet to the nations.” In essence, God tells Jeremiah that before the clock started on his earthly life, He had already known him and commanded Jeremiah’s life and purpose. Which Is So how does this relate to us and our purpose? When God entitles Himself “Which Is,” He shows us a key step in how He gets us ready to receive what He has for us. Which Is connotes God’s interaction with us in the present. God establishes Himself as a present-day God. He is with you now! In this instance, God is willing to meet you now. No matter how negative our situation, He is willing to meet you. He will meet you not where you pretend to be, but right where you are. An encounter with the “Right Now God” can change everything. This type of encounter can take a drunk or a drug addict and turn their whole world around and have them walk completely away from what used to be holding them hostage. This type of encounter with God takes an empty person and fills them with hope. Although anyone can have a right now encounter, normally there are three types of empty people who have it. The first type are people who have grown tired of life as they know it. These people are desperate for change and have grown weary of life without purpose. They are sick and tired of everything and everybody, including themselves. These people often suffer in silence. Many of them wear a smile on their face but have given up. They can be in a crowd of people and feel lonely. The second group are those who live their life in opposition to God. Deep down inside they know God exist and either deny it or could care less. They tend to want to do things their own way without any regard for their purpose or the afterlife. They do not plan to give an account for the deeds they have done in their life. Many of them live in the moment and are very accepting of everything. Anything that goes against the very nature of God seems to draw them even more. Although they have insecurities, they appear to have little bother them or hinder them from a challenge. They are the most vocal about their disregard for their need of a higher being.

From Brokenness to Breakthrough By Prophetess Latonya Green
If we all knew the outcome of our analysis and appraisal by God, we would have no problem saying yes to the prolusion. Our relationship with the Father in the eternal heaven would be “second to none”. We would without hesitation, get up every morning to seek God for His presence, directions and His unfailing love for us. We would make God our priority and not our necessity. Trying to pimp God and trying to monopolize God would not be a part of our existence. We would never think to curse God, be blasphemous or want to take our very own life. The words that come from our tongues would not yield bitter and sweet in the same breath. Neither would our minds become the devil’s playground. “I’ve been there” and so have many of you. In fact, the one-word question statement that’s familiar to all, even children are the word ‘Why”. Sounds familiar? Yes, all too familiar. To add fuel to the fire, during those times when we added to the question “why” it is said as such, “why me”. At this very moment when we add me to the question “why”, we have opened the door for any demonic spiritual entity to have its way in our mind because we added the word me. It’s one thing to ask God “why” but something totally different to ask “why me” You have unknowingly sown a self-righteous seed to your soul. That self-righteous seed gives the adversary the devil to put words and thoughts into the mind of your spirit, causing your spirit and soul to feel perplexed with fear and doubt, which intensifies the warfare in the battle ground of the mind. The bible says, Let this mind be in you, which is also in Christ, Jesus. (Philippians 2:5) Informal Excerpt 1 She had just experienced one of the most important days of her life, when she and the significant other entered a room to lay their heads. She said to her companion, “I’m going to go take a shower”. She prepared to remove portions her clothes. Then walked into the bathroom to take a shower. While taking a shower, she heard another voice entered the room. She could hardly understand what was being said or the voice of the other person talking because of the shower water. After taking a shower and entering the room, she asked this question to her companion, “Who was that just left?” Answering her immediately, he said, “Don’t worry about who that
was, that's none of your business." “None of my business?" she replied. He responded, “Like I said, it's none of your freaking business. She walked slowly like a dog with the tale between the legs to lay down on the bed to sleep. As her head touched the pillow, she laid in disbelief, question and tears. She began to pray to the Lord, asking Him to reveal to her what just took place in the space she thought was going to be a night of intense passion and sweat. Instead, it was a night of tears and questions. From this excerpt, you can immediately know how the battle of the mind began. It began with one simple question to her companion that he did not answer. How many times have you asked questions that you didn’t get answers too or questions that was answered in lies, riddles and half- truth? When God asked Adam, “Where art thou Adam?” Genesis 3:9 Adam was afraid when he heard the Lord’s voice because he knew he was naked. The companion from excerpt 1 knew that exposure could have been revealed that night but instead, he kept the covers on him by passing the truth and shifting the feeling of guilt and shame on himself. This was the exact same thing Adam did. Adam told God he was naked and he hid himself from God. Adam tried to shift being in trouble with God by saying, “The woman whom thou gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. Genesis 3:12 My God, that sounds too familiar in this modern day. The Lord punished both, Adam and Eve for their disobedience. The truth will always come to the light. It may be days, months or years but the truth will always make its way to the forefront. Informal Excerpt 2 After the arrival to another state, she and her companion abided together with uncertainty of their relationship for a period over ten years. One day, the companion decided to go away on a business trip. The companion said to her, “I have a business trip out of the state and I will be leaving tomorrow”. When he mentioned this to her, all she could remember, in amazement, was the question in her head that he did not answer when they were out of town. She reluctantly said, “be careful and stay safe”. Her companion packed his things for the weekend and the next day he proceeded on the business trip as stated. The next day when her companion left for the weekend. She immediately fell to her knees and prayed to the Lord saying, “Father, there is something that’s not right in my spirit concerning my companion. Ever since we got back from our trip together, I’ve had this feeling of suspicion and inquiry about my companion. Father, if there is anything I should know and if there is anything that should be uncovered, please Lord expose it and prepare me for the unexpected and reveal to me every secret. Father, I am a woman of love and integrity to You first and then to my companion those I know love me. MOGUL LEADERS MAGAZINE 46

Apostle Dr.
Alton Natson
It Comes at a Cost, Purposeful Destiny! By Apostle Dr. Alton Natson And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in
favor with God and man. Luke 2: 52 As a man I have found that living in this life can very trying, meaningful, and and if we choose to learn from the mistakes of others, we can find purpose. I know that this world is very unforgiving and many times in life because the world is unforgiving, I have found myself in a place of unforgiveness. An unforgiving heart can put us in places where we become lost and void of who God has really called us to be. As one of God’s chosen men I understand having a heart of unforgiveness can literally cause us to lose our purpose in life. As men we must learn true purpose, fulfilled purpose, the absolute God defined purpose for our lives will come at a very steep cost. Early on in my young life learned I learned the difference between my purpose (fleshy) and God’s purpose (His divine destiny revealed), through the leading and guiding of a mother who loved the Lord. At the tender age of 5 years old I made the request to be saved and I wanted to give my life over to the Lord. My grandfather was a pastor, and my father was a deacon alongside my uncles in our home church. I began the walk of purpose from that day forth though I truly learned that God’s divine purpose is a different walk according my human and physical purpose that I defined early on in life. As a young boy I learned a lot of things in life through the prism of youthful innocence, I learned what was right and what was wrong, what my parents approved of and what would get me in a whole lot of trouble. I learned from a young age what God approved of, something that my mother and my grandparents defined as living a holy life. I learned through the failures and mishaps of the men in my own life and learned one of the greatest things I could have been taught is measure of a man is not defined by where he fell in his life, but where along God’s path he chose to finish his life, in the kingdom or outside the kingdom. I learned the importance of making the right choice and not allowing others to define who you are by the choices that you made. My father Deacon Lavaughn Natson, my mother Deaconess Barbara Natson and my grandparents Pastor James and Annie Mae Canty played a huge part in the laying of the foundation of Christ in and through my life. Through the safety of the multitude of counselors in my family, the good ones and the bad ones, I was able to learn the importance of a solid and firm foundation found
“and rooted in God’s purpose. I learned to utilize the strength of the word of God at an early age and because it was the word that I believe in it was the power of the word which helped me get through the challenges I have and continue to face in the world. By The uniqueness of a God given purpose, and a defined purpose has been instrumental in the development of who I am and who I am becoming as I continue to grow just as Jesus did in wisdom and in stature before God and man. Many men live a life off a predetermined purpose outlined through the eyes of a corrupt and dying world. I found myself chasing after a fruitless dream defined by the wants and desires of a fleshly life rather than simply seeking God according to His word in Matthew 6: 33, But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Many men fail in God purpose because we do as I once did and look for the byproducts before we look for the raw materials that we can then give to God to define our purpose. Too many of us define our purpose fulfilled by the people, places, and things, we have allowed to enter and enjoy our lives. The danger of finding purpose in the fruitless things is the losing and the missing of our souls, Mark 8: 36, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, false purpose, and lose his own soul? The uniqueness of a God given purpose is this, everything that comes with it is married to your soul. Your soul is the breath of life from the beginning of time, it is what made Adam a living being. The soul is the investment that God poured into man to gain a purposeful return on what He made an investment on. The soul is designed to grow spiritually and not naturally, the soul is what and is where your true God given purpose is housed and maintained. The struggle with many men in not in the flesh but it is found in the battle for your soul. As Kingdom men we have to ensure that our soul is saved, and our soul remains in the right standing with God that when the timing is right God will reveal His purpose for our souls. The bible established the purpose of the soul from the beginning of time, by ensuring God breathed life into the man, that it was this same life that would cause the man to live, endure, and remain committed and close to the one that gave him purpose. Adam’s original purpose was that of a simple man living a simple life, God designed him according to Genesis 2: 15, and the Lord God took the man, and put him in the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.The awesome thing about God’s soul breathed into man was this, the piece of God breathed into man came with power and purpose. The power and purpose identified by God from the beginning was His desire for man to be made in the image and likeness of Him. Everything about God is designed by purpose, he is purpose, and he was purpose, and still today is purpose. Even His words are established and defined with purpose to do what He set them out to do, according to Isaiah 55: 11.

Moving On Divine Everlasting Love By
Evangelist Dottie A. Williams
Walking by Faith My Purpose Was Not Purchased, I Was Born with It
The moment I stopped and realized that my purpose in life could not be bought, I became liberated in more ways than one. I must admit it took me a while to come to this realization! Only after years of paying my way to find my purpose, whether it was following someone else’s goals and aspirations that wasn’t mine, or to entertaining friendships to gain inside awareness of what I really wanted to do next. At one point while growing up as a child, I started to think my Family was poor. We didn’t have the big house, fancy cars, a closet full of clothes and every toy we wanted, however, as I grew older, I realized that we were not poor, we had clean clothes, a roof over our heads, food on the table, a warm place to sleep, spiritually grounded and a Family that loved each other. We had a bond that was unbreakable, the highlights for my Family were attending Church, singing in the Choir and attending Family gatherings (backyard cook-outs, birthday parties and talks around the kitchen table) GOD was the center of our JOY! Hi, I am Dottie Heath-Williams, born and raised in the Hills of South Carolina to Annie M. and David L. Howze, there are eight of us, five girls Della, Mary (deceased), Martha, Bobbie, Dottie and three boys Jessie, Cleveland and Joe (deceased). Here’s where my roots are. I lived in a close-knit community of family and friends, a neighborhood that offered a lot, nestled at the very end of our street was Mr. Sammy’s Grocery store where we would go faithfully to buy bubble gum, pickles, sodas and Baby Ruths; the community park and playground were in walking distance and so was the school. I attended Sunset Park Elementary School in Rock Hill, SC. My favorite Teacher’s name was Ms. Heath and we were not related! I loved her dearly, she was very nice, patient and admirable. I had lots of very friendly classmates, we would walk to school together and share homework assignments, we bonded over the years and still have remained friends until this day. A special shout out to Diane Miller-Blake and Phyllis Mann-Fickling. I would also spend summer days playing soft ball and hanging out with neighbors and friends at the local Catholic Community Center on Crawford Road. Prior to leaving elementary school, I had a life
threatening illness with “scarlet fever”, a bacterial infection that causes the body temperature to escalate to a level where my skin was literally pealing. Iovercame this illness with no additional issues. (Thank God!)
After graduating from Elementary School, I relocated to the Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C. to live with my Sister (Martha). Here I attended Carter G. Woodson, Junior High School, a decision that ultimately changed my life. I met Mrs. Kane, my Home Economics teacher, she taught me so much, from cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, how to be confident and selfassuring. The most memorable moment was her faith and confidence in me by referring me to an Audition for a “Teen Board” Model position at Sears & Roebuck on Bladensburg Road, Washington, DC. (Thank God!), I was selected! This is where one of God’s Purposes for my life started to kick in! I along with another classmate Martina McMillan, started our first part-time job modeling “informally” on the weekends down the store isles of Sears & Roebuck, wearing the infamous “Winnie the Pooh” line of clothing. I was excited! In the 7th grade, modeling and getting paid to do it! This opportunity was short lived however, after graduating from Junior High School, I kept in touch with Mrs. Kane, she referred me to a Modeling Studio in Baltimore, Md there I received a bigger blessing! I was trained on how to become a Professional Model. I knew this was my calling because the techniques of modeling came to me naturally. I mastered the basics, which was the walk, the turns and how to properly exit the Runway. Then came the techniques of how to properly wear the garments, i.e., how to remove a coat/jacket, how to wear a reversible shawl. I found myself, practicing day and night in front of mirrors, in front of family and friends, they were cheering me on and this really helped build my confidence. I wanted to do more and be more, therefore, when I entered Spingarn High School, I started modeling on the weekends with a Group of Ladies/Men call “Modeling As An Art” created by a local DC Hair Stylist “Reginald Word”. This effort landed me in hair shows, poolside shows, Fashion Shows for charitable Organizations, photo shoots and I began seeking modeling opportunities within the Community. My High school experience was very inspirational, I really started to discover who I was and what God really wanted me to become in life. (My Purpose). I felt like it was time to make some serious decisions about life after high school, did I want to go to College, did I want to pursue my dream job of becoming a Flight Attendant, did I want to pursue Modeling in Paris, did I want to find a job and work for the Federal Gov’t, the questions continued to come.

with her “Blind” faith in God is exactly the key to her moving forward in her journey towards Greatness! It all started in the late nineties with her doing an” Open Mic” in Seattle, Washington (where she resided) one night after a consistent 30 days of heavy down pouring rain, she began experiencing a depressive episode it was at this point she decided to get out of the house for a minute and head down to a downtown bar, “Crackers.” There was a weekly” Open Mic” night,(something she had never heard of). After feeling it was nothing to lose, up on stage she went. To her surprise, she was well received and asked by the owner to return the following weeks. While residing in the Great Northwest she won the “Tacoma Talent Quest” and knew at that point of her life knew she wanted to pursue the art of Stand Up Comedy. Things, however, took an interesting turn when her little family experienced one of the biggest Earthquakes ever recorded in the Great Northwest with a magnitude rector of 6.8 She began experiencing (what was later diagnosed as Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome) she decided to return to her hometown, Louisville, Kentucky with her three children. Once home she entered a talent competition hosted by Comedian Spike Davis. “Can You Rock The Mic with Spike” she was the finalist in Comedy Division. From there, Spike strongly suggested she go to the Comedy Caravan (a local comedy club) and began getting familiar and networking with other comedians a place she would learn her craft and strengthen her gift. She was
offered a job there. To check the Ids at the bottom of the stairs! (this would later become her “Home Stage”) and the owner (the infamous) Tom Soble of TSM management would become her first booking agent. Her mission statement? You never know when it’s going to be your last time on stage so always bring it as if it is! Kim will gladly tell you, whatever she’s survived, she can joke about. She shares her story about her life. Living as a “Victor” not a “Victim” of life’s hurdles she’s overcome. It’s caused her to become very transparent in sharing her life authentically on stage. I know that someone is somewhere experiencing similarities in their journeys. I just want everyone to WIN! It’s not easy! Hey But it’s possible. She prays daily that” His Will Be Done” and continues to extend her territories to reach the masses with her messages of encouragement and laughter! Her biggest message to deliver? Simply” YOUR NEVER ALONE”, “GOD IS ABLE” you can make it through anything that faces you in life! It won't be easy but, ”YOU CAN!” Many are asking what to do when constantly seeing chaos, hearing bad news, feeling uncertainty, facing difficulties, living in fear. They question our values. What if the world’s leading democracy refuses to honor its values, they argue – then what is the point? If the highest office in the world is no longer honorable, if the greatest decision making authority in the world is confused,

She also prayers daily that God will continue to use her story for his Glory, to be positioned to do for so man. To bless others without not needing the credit for doing so. . She’ll tell you, “I want to witness the feeling in knowing I did what I was to do with what God blessed me with.” my talent”. ”I’m the mother of the troubled babies running the streets if they look like me? Then they’re mine. PERIOD”!! “I’m my sister's keeper, helping my sisters to keep their crowns on, helping them to reach safety from abuse”. “I’m my brother’s encourager, helping them to remain the kings they are! Not statistics but Kings! Finally, all of the Aunties and Uncles that the world has made invisible, with so many pretending not to see in the streets? Intoxicated, addicted, homeless, or mentally not in their right mind? Those are members of MY family. Step by step God going to make a way for me to accomplish the ability to help”. Kim addresses the stigma of Mental Illness being “Crazy” and what it looks like to live as a person with such a label in society. She openly lives with a controlled bipolar disorder. As a child, she was severely bullied and teased for being 100% blind in her left eye (since birth) and having a darn thing be a lazy eye ! At 17 becoming a teen mom and life quickly took a unique turn. It all led to living a roller coaster of ups and downs, eventually to her becoming a runaway, leaving home even for a short span homeless. due to issues at home. She now discusses being a survivor of sexual assault, emotional and domestic violence.

Business And Ministry By Genesis Business in my point of view is meeting people’s need Like a way of buying what people need then sell it to them to get profit from what you sold out Business is a broad term, but these profit-seeking activities generally include providing some kind of good or service that people want or need. Businesses may experience a loss, but that doesn't stop them from being a business. All that's important from the standpoint of defining a business is that the entity seeks to profit from what it does. Music is a business. Ministry is a business What is music? Music is a personality. The soul behind the music is that music "My music is the spiritual expression of what I am - my faith, my knowledge, my being ... When you begin to see the possibilities of music, your desire to do something really good for people, to help humanity free itself from its hangups ... I want to speak to their souls." Music was given to us to make the world a better place Without music this life will be empty. I am into music so this is the business I do I bring out my emotions in form of music and sell it out there to bless or impact someone And what I get in return is profits from the CD sold or show I organize.
Types of ministry. Ministry is in two phases 1. Capacity (The anointing, the spiritual aspect of ministry ) 2. Gift ( This is the gift and it’s the non spiritual What is ministry. Ministry is service. When we serve we meet people’s aspect of ministry) needs In the other hand ministry is meeting people’s needs through Ministry is given for the body of Christ to be edified the gift of God giving to use. Our gift was given to bless lives and meet and to grow into the fullness of Christ. Ephesians people’s needs. Ministry is work and not a job. A work is what you do 4:11-13 for a lifetime while a job is what you do to earn a living. You get Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and employed to a job but you employ yourself to a work. Work is what some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, you have full knowledge of, what you are so experience about. pastors and teachers; Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: It’s called the 5 fold ministry To everyone into ministry we have an office where we belong here in this office John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Jesus Christ was a perfect example for us about ministry he balanced it on all sides He made us understand that ministry is a work. To every man going into ministry this thre things must be considered very well before launching into ministry this three keys will sustain and keep the man or woman going Even when trials arise. 1. Know who your caller (Who called you into ministry) 2. Know what you are called to do( Your lane, your message, what your message is) 3. Know who you are called to ( know your audience, the message you has got who are those you ara sent to speak it to,) This three things is very important in ministry.

THE STORY OF HOW THINGS HAPPENED. ALBERT BARNES
One would think that after more than 50 years since being wounded in actual combat in the Republic of Vietnam, talking about the event to people who have never experienced war would be an easy task. In contrast, most of us, recipients of the Purple Heart, are mixed in our sharing details of that lifechanging event. We all can remember the most detailed actions that occurred on that fateful day. Every detail is etched in my memory and is vividly and easily replicated in our minds many times yearly throughout our lives. Before I begin, it must be said that the event is a life-altering mindset. For this reason, I shall address the changes in hopes to bring clarity to why life is seen differently instead of what happened. Let's start with the high school years and the reality of what was happening in America at that time. I attended Austin High School in Chicago, Illinois, As fate would have it, the school was one of, if not the last public high school to integrate the Chicago Public Schools system. Tensions were high in America. The civil rights movement, anti-war protests, the deaths of Dr. King and Senator Kennedy, and the
Democratic Convention Riots were just a few of the events. My stepfather had died, my mother was raising six (6) children with me as the eldest. I had worked hard in school to get a scholarship into an engineering curriculum at the University of Illinois. All came crashing down upon entering the US Army and being sent to Vietnam, Once there, the focus became making it home alive. In January 1971, I was transferred to Company P, 75th Infantry (Airborne Rangers), 5th Infantry Division,in the Northernmost Province, Quang Tri, firebase, The units in this area were near the Demilitarized Zone along the northernmost border of. South Vietnam. After about eight (8) missions, in which we observed and engaged a lot of enemy forces. Scary, volatile, dangerous, and life-threatening, are just a few adjectives to describe the feelings of everyone serving in that area. Both sides were experiencing tremendous losses hourly. Getting wounded changed my consideration of the loss of
any human life. I gained a mindset of life preservation at all costs. For that reason, I became committed to how to preserve life through education and information for my lifetime. At the time, I had no idea I would have a military career. Subsequently, never realized I would pursue two (2) careers in education. During my military career, I trained and prepared soldiers for combat never losing a single person, In education, I practiced de-escalation procedures to prevent volatile situations. I have reduced disciplinary referrals to zero (0) in the last three (3) school years. I am an avid fighter for students through the NEA Teachers Union from year to year. Preservation of life includes health, welfare, and the pursuit of happiness are the objectives. Prosperity and the ability and desire to excel are my wishes for all I encounter. For example, four (4) of my students have developed computer games in my afterschool robotics programs. They have their own LLC company and are pending trademarks and patents.

The story of how things happened. This is not just a recollection,; it is a vivid memory etched in my mind forever. Now, what happened to change a mindset? How does getting shot in combat transcend the aforementioned ideology? What happened, and how did it occur? Let's start with 27 March 1971; that's 50 years, 4 months, and 29 days ago as of this email. Our Long-range-surveillance team was combined with another team to go locate, observe, and eventually disrupt enemy operations that were inflicting casualties on friendly forces operating along the major supply route. In short, we were a hunter/killer unit with major support at our beckon and call. On this day, we were inserted into the area. I even remember our radio callsign, TRICKS OSCAR 7. Since I was carrying the backup radio along with all the other necessary ammunition, equipment, and weaponry. to accomplish the mission. We were all heavily laden with armory to locate and kill enemy forces. Backup conventional units were on standby to engage upon contact. After insertion, we quietly hid, watched the surroundings, and listened for any enemy activity to avoid detection, This process took about two (2) hours, We then moved very stealthily to positions of observation to assess our options for ambush and other means of advantageous kills. While we were observing, a company of marines was attacked and sustained heavy losses, We used our assets to provide close air support so they could be extracted. The extraction went well and the remaining members got out. Still undetected, and the daylight waning, we decided to continue surveillance in the morning.
At dawn, we decided to get in close tp get a better look at the force. As we quietly moved closer, we realized we had walked into a major force of over 2,000 NVA regulars, highly trained and well-armed. The decision was made that a force of this magnitude was too much for 12 people so we attempted to get out of the area and call in an ArcLight (B52 Strike). Before we could get away we were detected and all hell broke loose. Within the first 30 to 45 seconds of the fight, we had 9 of 12 wounded and our outcome looked bleak. The only reason we believe we were not overrun is the NVA figured us as a larger force. As the fighting continued, we requested close air support. For the first time as an Army Ranger, I got a denial over the radio from the commander of the contingency reaction force commander. Knowing that MEDIVAC came with Cobra Attack helicopter support, I immediately called for and got MEDIVAC helicopter support. Once, the MEDIVAC arrived, it was quickly obvious that we were in for a fight to survive. Some three (3) or more hours later we were able to be extracted, two (2) of the wounded died from head wounds. Although my wound was not life-threatening, it almost cost me my left arm. On that day, 28 March 1971, I fought for my life. country, and fellow Rangers around me. On that day, 28 March 1971, I became aware of how my life would unfold no matter what I did for a living, On that day, 28 March 1971, I began the mindset, of how to best preserve life. Thanks, Albert Kirk Barnes Jr.

Working with Faheem Saadiq AbdusSalaam was also an all time treat. The first day on the set felt like we were family. I was so honored and pleased to learn, from Director, Randall Lawrence, that I had been awarded the role of Lionel Posey in the biopic of Night Before Day. Lionel, the husband of Rita Posey, was a very calm, mild mannered, and intelligent man, with distinctive characteristics, as a Husband, Father, and Man that I would have to do my best to match on screen, as I recall Rita hinting to me, with a certainty that would not be waived. Nonetheless, I was going to bring a part of me, to bridge the gap of my own distinctive characteristics with the historical and imposing figure of Mr. Lionel Posey. This challenge was more than welcomed, because it allowed me to assume the role of extreme emotions and passion that I had to search for, considering the circumstances of Lionel’s rollercoaster ride of health-related setbacks. Cancer has been a part of my life s well, with the challenges of its devastation and the deaths of some of my male role models in my personal and professional life, therefore; this role allowed for me to seek within, to examine the dark times that I had allowed to lay dormant for many years. I would be remised, not to extend gratitude towards the very endearing and heartfelt joyful moments that I had with my own family members, prior to their diagnosis and I wanted to ensure that I brough that same enthusiasm in the production of Night Before Day. Working with so many people involved, to bring this awesome display of remembrance to the Posey family, has been simply amazing. My on-set wife Simone Walker and those wonderful actors playing the role of our kids Kimia Workman and Keton Meredith, made it easy to get into and stay into character. What a fabulous cast of characters!!! I am and have been excited to see the finished product and I certainly hope that I fulfilled the vision of Rita and the character of her husband Lionel Posey. May Allah be pleased with him. Thank you Rita Posey, for allowing me to tap into your brain and emotions, to bring Lionel to the Big Screen. I believe he is pleased. Job well done to you!!!
