Capucine Hines

Capucine Hines is a servant of The One and True Living God YAHWEH. Always aware of Gods Presence in her life, even when she was very young, she accepted Christ as her Savior and Lord in her elementary school years. Cappy as she is affectionately known is the wife of one Amazing husband for over 35 years. They have been blessed with 4 beautiful children. Cappy has a passion for women to know God up close and personal firsthand. God chose to show her gifts and talents by choosing her to be the CEO(Christ Empowered Overseer) of Etched In Stone Ministries L.L.C. This ministry launched in June of 2014 with The H.O.W. Conference. Healing Ordinary Women through Prayer, Praise and Psalm; One Woman at a Time, One Soul at a Time. You can also see Evangelist Capucine Hines on Facebook daily with an inspirational message called The Stone Cold Truth. Evangelist Capucine Hines desires to live a life that can be seen consistent behind closed doors and when she steps out into the world. Her favorite scripture is Matthew 6:33. Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things will be added to you

Welcome to The Corner THE STONE-COLD TRUTH BY EVANGELIST CAPUCINE HINES PRAYER Pursuing Righteousness And Yielding Endless Reverence (FOR JESUS) There are many books written and classes given regarding the definition of what prayer is and what it should look like. This message is not regarding that. We want to share an acronym that was a direct deposit for this moment in time. Pursuing Righteousness and Yielding Endless Reverence (for Jesus). Spring is about to blossom and bring new beginnings with the anticipation of budding flowers, refreshing rain, and the touch of warmer days. Winter is soon approaching hibernation until it's the due season to return. For Christians, this is our Culmination season when Jesus made his way to that Old Rugged Cross to take on the sins of the world, be the sacrificial lamb and give us the right to live righteously on earth and have eternal life. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you. If we are to live a life pleasing to the one who gave his life for us, we must have a desire to pursue God with everything we got. A longing for Righteousness. There has to be the passion to want more of Him with the abandonment of what am I getting out of this. Yield our desires and wants to His desires for our lives. Oh, how I am in Awe of when I yield me, with an endless reverence of love for Jesus, My Life Forever Changes. His physical life was about to perish when he was crucified on that tree at Calvary, but death could not keep him in the ground. He arose on the third day, with All power, that you and I might live. JESUS... The 3rd and 4th stanza of a beautiful Hymn called At Calvary shares these words: Now I've giv'n to Jesus everything, Now I gladly own HIM as my King, Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary...Oh, the love that drew salvation's plan! Oh, the grace that brought it down to man! Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span At Calvary! Yes, My Lord! That is truly our PRAYER for you. Evangelist Capuchine Hines

Ephraim Stevens was accepted into Ithaca College and the group was no longer active. However, Rev. Stevens continued to do solo performances, train choirs, and give private voice lessons. The group experienced Mark Jr.’s challenge with Multiple Sclerosis, which left him unable to walk or play drums. Also, the death of Eric Jones was further devastating. However, after 25 years, Rev. Stevens, Zipporah Brown and Ephraim Stevens performed together at Mark Jr.’s house in Florence, South Carolina. It was a very moving performance. Miracle Group still is active, despite health challenges and geographical boundaries.

In 2012, Rev. Stevens accepted the call to train the choir at New Hope and Life Church of God in Capitol Heights, Maryland, under the leadership of Bishop Dana Head and Co- Pastor Dr. Claudine Head who had previously had voice training from her. Under Rev. Stevens training, the choir had a major improvement. The improvement was so impressive that Bishop Head received requests from other pastors for Rev. Stevens to come and train their choirs. Deeply appreciative of her volunteer time with the choir as well as her ministry history, on January 2015, Dr. Claudine Head wrote Rev. Stevens that the New Hope and Life.

THE HISTORY OF MIRACLE FELLOWSHIP GOSPEL MINISTRIES, INC. School of Religion and Seminary was going to award her Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Stevens (“Rev. Stevens”) began her evangelistic ministry during the mid-1980s. Although there were requests for her to be a guest speaker at various churches, there was a major emphasis on her music ministry.

Rev. Stevens started performing concerts and other solo engagements at churches and a Bar Mitzvah, often with orchestrated performance tapes. Her late godson, Eric Jones (“Rick”-bassist) asked if he, Mark Stevens, Jr. (drummer) and Ephraim Stevens (pianist) could provide her music accompaniment. But Rev. Stevens told them that they did not possess the skill level demanded for a professional performance. However, at a concert in New York, she did allow them to provide one accompaniment on her last song on the program. Although they performed with beginning skills, the three young men were determined to be the best.

a Doctorate of Divinity Degree. The choir that she trained at their church paid for her graduation fees. The requirement of this Degree included preparing a Portfolio of all of Rev. Stevens’ ministry experience. While extensively preparing her portfolio, the questions designed caused Rev. Stevens to go inside of herself. This portfolio preparation was life changing in spirit and in truth—Rev. Stevens emerged and accepted the call as a ministry leader. As a result of this portfolio preparation, exploration, and deep pondering of the Holy Spirit that birthed the ministry of Miracle Fellowship Gospel Ministry, which was founded in July 2015 by Rev. Dr. Jacqueline G. Stevens.. MIRACLE FELLOWSHIP GOSPEL MINISTRIES, INC. God told Rev. Stevens to form the Ministry Board by saying “follow me”—no prerequisites, demands, labels, changing or force. She followed Jesus example when He accepted His disciples as they were, where they were, and who they were. This is the true meaning of Discipleship. As a result, a professional Board came

together—Christians and Jews—to form this Ministry Board. With the direction of the Holy Spirit combined with their professional expertise, love and willingness to support Rev. Stevens, the Miracle Fellowship Ministry has launched into public ministry with the premise: God told Rev. Stevens “If I be lifted up, I’ll draw all men unto me.” All we do in this ministry is penetrate where we can as we are, used by the Master’s Hand--we let God do the rest. Our mission is to provide religious, charitable and humanitarian services through an evangelistic outreach ministry fellowship to all people. We strive to find common ground of human need to impact community relationships, which strengthen our global relationships. Although we all are different, we are one in spirit and unity. Through the presentation of our faith, service, and skills, we can touch the pulse of mankind. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. As our ministry exemplifies the Biblical principles through serving the needs of the people by the Holy Spirit of God, He will regenerate, connect the bones of our communities, and establish His people. Mogul Leaders Magazine Exclusive Interview with

1. Dr. Rickey Payton, you are a Gentle GIANT, a member of the GRAMMY’s, 2004 Linowes Leadership Awards Recipient, a scholar for The Smithsonian Institute, as well as a prolific composer, arranger, music producer, performer and teacher. Tell us who is the man behind the name, Dr. Rickey Payton? I always believed that I had a calling on my life even as a young child. My kindergarten teacher, Ms. Sims, was amazed that I could play the first few notes of the National Anthem on the piano even though I had no formal training. I was able to pick out the melody and play it by ear without knowing what I was actually playing. Although my family was less fortunate, my dear Mother “Madear” somehow found a way to arrange piano lessons for me for a short while. Throughout elementary school, my love for music became evident. I remember asking God to give me a passion that would honor Him and allow me to be used in His service. As a result, doors began to open for me and one thing led to another. I firmly believe that God orders the steps of a good man, and I thank Him always for allowing me to live out my passion. So, in a nutshell, I am a simple man, who loves the Lord, has a passion for young people, and loves music! 2. You attended Howard University where you majored in Music, Business Administration and studied Entertainment Law. What influenced the change of your course to begin studying at the esteemed Breakthrough Bible College and Theological Seminary, where you received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters under the Great General, Dr. Anthony Mays, Founder and President? While studying Music and Entertainment Law at Howard University, someone said that they saw a lot of potential in me, and would love for me to pursue a doctorate degree. A friend of mine introduced me to Dr. Mays. After tedious MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 17

tedious preparation, I was presented with an honorary doctorate degree. I truly appreciate any honors I receive and ensure that they aren’t taken for granted. My ministry has allowed me to travel throughout Europe, Africa, China, the Far East and the Caribbean. While in Russia and the Ukraine, I was involved in a program called “Peace Child” which brought different countries together to address world peace issues. I was blessed to be in the Ukraine when they declared its independence from the USSR on August 24,1991. Music has opened so many doors for me, but I needed that theology behind what I was doing. It didn’t matter whether I was producing a secular or gospel event. I knew I needed to have the right foundation and tools in order to minister to people. That’s why I wanted to get deeper into the Word of God and put myself in the position to be ready to minister when people ask about God. Ministry is so important, and you want to prepare yourself to be well rounded. I was forced out there, not at my choosing, but I found out that I needed to have some biblical principles behind what God was calling me to do.

3. Dr. Payton, how were you able to acquire the most monumental achievement in teaching Choral Music in one of the most distinguished schools in Washington D.C., the Sidwell Friends School? Additionally, you served as Chair of The Arts Department at Don Bosco Cristo Rey Catholic School in Hyattsville, MD. Please tell us how the second appointment came about? Everything that has come by me was a result of someone seeing something in me. I was out of the country on tour in Europe, and when I returned, I received a phone call from a friend, Dr. Emyrtal Bennett. Dr. Bennett recommended me for a job at Sidwell Friends and strongly encouraged me to apply. I had doubts that they would choose me to work there. The Principal of Sidwell Friends kept calling me and after the 5th call, I finally answered. He said he was glad I picked up because this was the last time, he would try to call me. I apologized for not immediately returning his phone call, however we did set up an appointment for the interview. We discussed the direction the school was going and what they were looking for. The biggest thing was that after checking my references, he decided to take a chance on me based on the stellar recommendations from everyone he contacted. God anointed me in that first year which resulted in rave reviews from parents, faculty and staff. During my 16-year tenure at Sidwell,

my mother became seriously ill. The school granted me a two-year sabbatical to care for my mother, and when I resigned, they continued my salary with benefits for an additional year. I love to say that “it was a God thing”, and I will be forever grateful for their support and understanding. As doors opened up from my Sidwell tenure, I became Chairman of the Arts Department at Don Bosco Cristo Rey. Good times were had there also. Everything I am doing today, God ordained it. 4. Dr. Payton, you are the Founder of the nationally renowned Urban Nation H.I.P. – H.O.P. Choir, (Hope, Integrity, Power – Helping Our People), along with Co-Founder, Dr. Sheila Johnson Newman, formerly of Black Entertainment Television (B.E.T.). Urban Nation, Inc., which is a 501c3 organization that services at-risk youth throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Urban Nation Choir was honored to perform on The National Mall for Earth Day Network and Moral Action in support of the climate during Pope Francis visit to address the Joint Session of Congress and other world leaders. What was the driving force behind the name Urban Nation H.I.P. – H.O.P., and how was it birth? When I left Sidwell, I went on to pursue my dreams and started a non-profit youth organization called the Urban Nation with a grant from Dr. Sheila Johnson Newman. I created the Urban Nation H.I.P.-H.O.P. Choir as wonderful opportunity to serve underprivileged youth. In my search to find a name that was very urban and attractive to kids, I came up with the name “H.I.P.- H.O.P.” which stands for “Hope Integrity Power- Helping Our People”. I now serve as the Artist-in-Residence at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, Maryland, and it is now the new home of Urban Nation. We work with at-risk youth in the community, and are open to all youth regardless of race, creed, color, or religion. Believe me, the choir was not based on how well you could sing or dance. We just bring you in and train you as well. Urban Nation has done some phenomenal things such as the Urban Nation Academy for the Performing Arts. This academy is a performing arts school where youth can study music or dance. We have been honored to perform several times at the White House meeting President Clinton and President Obama, as well as a performance on the National Mall for Earth Day Network. This was a special performance for Earth Day Network because Pope Francis was in town to address a joint session of Congress that day. Well over one thousand children have benefitted from the beginning of Urban Nation. MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 18

5. Dr. Payton, you are a Social Justice Advocate, and Co-Founder of the City at Peace Organization where you served as a Music Composer and Director. Through this organization, there were dramatic performances at the Kennedy Center and Warner Theater that landed a story on Night Line with Ted Koppel, along with a 90-minute documentary on HBO. What is your strongest commitment to peace and social justice? My strongest commitment to peace and social justice is demonstrated in my work as an artist, working with youth, addressing social issues, and through my musical compositions. One of my proudest accomplishments is as co-founder of an organization called “City at Peace”, a 501c3 youth organization that addresses at risk youth and conflict resolution through the Arts. After many years of working on this project, we were blessed to be featured on Nightline with Ted Koppel, which evolved into a featured full-length 90-minute documentary on HBO entitled “City at Peace”. Barbra Streisand and her husband James Brolin saw the show and were highly moved and impressed. Barbra Streisand and Cis Cormen served as Executive Producers with Susan and Chris Koch as Producers of this project. 6. Dr. Payton, you are also an HIV AIDs Advocate and Board Member of the Hollywood Heart, which is a 501c3 Youth Performing Arts Organization located Los Angeles, CA. Why, did you select LA as the target area for the Youth Performing Arts Organization? I did not choose Hollywood Heart, but Hollywood Heart chose me! This is an organization based in Los Angeles, California, which services youth and their families who are impacted by HIV AIDS. We have a weekly summer camp every year in beautiful Malibu, California on the mountaintop. These young people would perform and do all kinds of exciting things. I was blessed to be head of the Music Department, but we also had dance, culinary cooking, arts and crafts, acting and a movie division. The founder of Hollywood Heart, David Gale, was one of the Executives at MTV Films. It was David’s passion and dream to do something for children and their families. Susan Koch, a close friend and film producer, introduced me to David and we formed a brotherly bond, as I became a dedicated Board Member. Hollywood Heart and its mission became a passion of mine.

7. Presidential Inaugurations music performances and theater productions featuring your song, “Let’s Build a Bridge All Across America” was one of the highlights of President Bill Clinton’s Second Inaugural Ceremony in January 1996. Moreover, in 2008, you composed the song “Yes We Can” for President Barack Obama’s First Inauguration. What was the inspiration behind the opportunity of a political presence using your music? Chelsea Clinton went to Sidwell Friends School, and I gave Chelsea her first solo in the fifth grade. The Clintons came to the performances and befriended me as a result. So, we developed a relationship where Urban Nation would perform for events at the White House. God blessed me to write a song entitled “Let’s Build a Bridge All Across America” in January 1996. This became the theme song of President Bill Clinton’s second inaugural run. Also, I was given the honor in 2008 to write “Yes We Can” for President Barak Obama’s first inauguration. Seeing young boys and girls dream again, and know that the sky’s the limit was very powerful! Endless potential and endless possibility. I am currently producing a music project highlighting issues around self-love, world peace, violence and war. This is how God continues to use me in advancing the Kingdom. 8. Under the late Mayor Marion Berry, you were appointed the D.C. Commissioner of the Arts and Humanities, where you served for four years. What were some of your historic accomplishments? The Arts and Humanities Commission was appointed by the late Honorable Mayor Marion Barry, who was a huge supporter of the Arts. The commission was established to oversee arts grants and programs in the District. If you look around DC you can see painted murals, artists, musicians, and established core groups all throughout the city. Much of the artwork that you see around Washington DC is attributed to the Commission. Being a DC Commissioner of the Arts and Humanities during my four-year term allowed me to see things from behind the scenes as well as within the mainstream arts community. 9. You are an International Music Ambassador. Tell us about the different variations, developments, growth, and the results of these performances. I performed all over the world in various genres and venues. I love Classical. Gospel, Jazz, and Musical Theater that have given me a very different experience. One of my favorite memories is working with “Peace Child” as we traveled to countries like Japan, Russia, and South Africa. As Ambassadors for peace, we would create a show around what’s going on in our respective countries with

politics and government. We developed some powerful bonds as a result. That ushered me into what I am doing today. I try to build camaraderie, self-esteem, and the confidence to believe in oneself when working with our youth. After 30 years of working together to promote world peace, who would’ve thought that we would be back at the door facing war again. 10. Music and Administration services: Your 30 years of experience at the New Bethel Church of God in Christ, and additional State and National positions you held at this organization and other churches, gave you the opportunity to present your original Music Ministry compositions to the World Stage. Your undisputed dedication without question is a result of your love and dedication to God, the local church, and the Kingdom. Most impressive, is your profound effect on many students that you have taught and influenced in the arts and secular careers. What would you say to the next generation’s achievements, attainments, creations and the realization how those doors can open for them? Understanding administration and organization is a vital lesson that I embrace in my career serving in Music Ministry. This learning experience has been going on for a long, long time. It has allowed me to wholeheartedly develop myself while doing music. I encourage every entrepreneur and working person to have strong business ethics. Make sure they are fully prepared for the task by studying their craft, and knowing your abilities and limitations. Take time to pray and seek God first! 11. You produced the Greater Washington Urban League Gala, featuring Patti Labelle, served as Music Producer for DC-Capital Stars Scholarship Awards held annually at The John F. Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts. Along with your many endeavors, in 2018, you served as the Music Director for composer Henry Jackman’s “Birth of A Nation” movie premiere that was featured at The Middleburg Film Festival (Salamander Farm Resort) in Middleburg, Virginia. Also, you worked with such superstars as the late Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, John Legend, Opera Divas Harolyn Blackwell, Denyce Graves, Raffi, Moby, and many others. How do you balance your work, ministry and family life?

Thank you! I am very glad you asked this question because it is important. It was not always easy. Some opportunities will come and keep pounding on you. You must keep in mind that it’s God first, family, ministry, and then work. Many times, I would drop things or leave my family to be last. God dealt with me on that! I tell artists now that if you want to be successful, you have to keep God first as the center of your life. Next, keep close to your family because God ordained family. 12. As a Washington, D.C. native and a young boy, what was your career aspiration(s) as you grew into adulthood? Have you achieved your aspiration(s) or are you still working on it? My best friend and I wanted to be famous doctors, however God just turned that dream around to a totally different area of my life. It was a God thing, and I believe that I am in the position where God would have me to be for such a time as this. And I’m still working on it because I believe that God is enlarging my territory and greater is to come. 13. If you could change anything during your purposed journey, what would that be? NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! I have to say that because I feel that I am on a journey that God has ordained for my life. I am so grateful that I didn’t become a doctor or lawyer, and I was able to help so many young people. He allowed me to be instrumental in a child’s life and to minister to them at the same time. As I stated, I do what I do out of the Love for God and because I feel that I am doing His will. I’m so honored and blessed that God gave me a gift that I can present back to Him. 14. What’s next, any new projects? Something is always brewing; however, I pride myself on waiting until the contract is signed or I am actually doing it before talking about the project. Then I’ll shout it from the rooftop! 15. Dr. Payton, you are currently serving as an Artist in Residence at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, Maryland, a Choral Music Teacher at Lanham Christian School in Lanham, Md., and Lead Musician at two distinguished DC churches: Second New St. Paul Baptist Church and the Genesis Covenant Church. How were you able to attain these positions? What would you tell young people who want careers in the Ministry of Music as far as what they need to do when interviewing for these positions, and how to nail the interview into a job offer?

By being punctual, focused, dressed appropriately, and knowledgeable. Yes it is difficult, yet by the grace of God, I try to manage my schedule so that I don’t take on too much at one time. I try to have balance patience, and commitment in which I’m very careful to manage in all those areas. I look over the scope of work that’s being requested and decide if my schedule will allow me to take on a project. However, I have given myself permission to say “no” if I’m not available to do it. But sometimes, I just don’t get it right. I’ve learned in my career not to take on too much at one time. Sometimes less is more! 16. At this point, I would like to give you an opportunity to share with us any additional information. I have to say that I am so glad that God chose me to do what I am doing, and I don’t think I would have it any other way. Much of my life skills have molded me into who I am today. I have written for many musicals and produced many concerts. Being a music producer, event planner and entrepreneur, I have learned many valuable lessons and life skills through the years. I have to say that my immediate family; my Mother, Dazelle Payton affectionately known as “Madear” Payton, was the strong force and backbone for me and all of my siblings. And the reason we are grounded is because of her life strength and example. She passed a few years ago, but we still honor her legacy to this day. My wife, Vernita, has been my soul mate, friend and a true believer in me. And I would be remiss if I did not say thank you and honor my children Rickey Jr., Darnell, and Dasia who have always been supportive of my career and me. And last but not least, I have 7 lovely grandkids that call us G-Mom and G-Dad who we adore and love very much. God has been gracious and faithful to me and I pray that my life is an example and a shining light unto the world. Thank you, Dr. Payton, for this awe-inspiring interview. You enlightened us with your wisdom. May the Lord our God continue to bless you abundantly. Dr. Rita A. Wallace Posey

I would be remiss if I did not say something about The Wilson’s. Mr. James & Mrs. Carolyn Wilson saw something in me in Junior High & High School. They nourished my gift and pushed me as a young teen when I had no idea what I was doing. First, Mrs. Wilson along with Mr. Samuel Bonds had a musical summer camp at Banneker Jr. High School when I attended that sparked my musical interest and made me want more of what I was feeling. Then while in Junior High School I enrolled in the school’s band. I played the tuba and from there on to Cardozo High School where I joined the concert choir with Mrs. Wilson. She really inspired me and made me realize that music was my passion. I will always be grateful to the Lord and The Wilson’s for preparing me for my musical journey. The rest is history.

The Apostles

Vincent & Deborah Price Our Life, Our Story, For His Glory Apostle Dr. Vincent R. Price & Apostle Dr. Deborah A. Price God's divine will and providence can sometimes be humorous yet timely. Growing up, our parents and grandparents train us to be good upstanding citizens while instilling tools to help us overcome any adversity. One of those tools was prayer. Deborah knew nothing of salvation and or the infilling of the Holy Ghost, but what she did know was that God answered prayers. On July 19, 1990, God answered one of those heartfelt and sincere prayers. This was the night that God would connect the two puzzle pieces he created from the beginning of time. Those two puzzle pieces , Vincent Price and Deborah Evans. Deborah asked God for a man to love only her and not what she had or didn't have. To love her for where she was and not where she had been. She asked God to give her someone like her grandfather. Someone kind, loving, and family devoted. God answered that prayer and sent the Boaz he prepared for her in the form of Vincent Price. Three weeks later, the two were engaged and planning a wedding. On January 4, 1992, Vincent and Deborah were joined together as husband and wife. Together these two experienced 32 years of ups, downs, grows and glows. In April 1994, the happy couple experienced their first growth when they, on a Wednesday at 7:00 pm, both received salvation after calling their Pastor, Bishop Janie Carr. This growth was the beginning of many spiritual growths to come. The subsequent spiritual growth for Vincent and Deborah came from obedience and a miracle. They desired to have children but experienced three years of infertility. God spoke through two prophets informing Vincent and Deborah that he would bless them with children with one requirement: Vincent preaches the gospel. November 1995, after Vincent yielded to the will of God for his life and a word from God, he preached his initial sermon in December 1995, "God Will Provide." He and Deborah experienced their first glow in August 1996 with the birth of their triplet sons, Jordan, Immanuel, Nile. After two years of chasing toddlers, Deborah experienced another growth in her life. This new growth was the call to ministry and an awakening of the prophetic gift she had suppressed since she was 14 years old because she had no idea what it was and what was happening to her. The two puzzle pieces were now connecting at another level, the ministry level. Deborah preached her initial sermon in July 1998, "No More Chains." God strengthened their marriage and brought them even closer through ministry.

God continued to grow in Vincent and Deborah. In 2000, God spoke to Vincent while traveling with his family through Richmond, Virginia, saying this is where ministry would begin. After receiving the blessing of release from Bishop Janie Carr, Vincent and Deborah opened New Jerusalem Ministries International on February 3, 2002, in Richmond, VA. However, God had not finished growing them. God continued stretching Vincent and Deborah in ministry. God called Vincent to the office of the apostle. MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE

Two years later, he accepted the call and was consecrated as an apostle by the late Apostle R. L. Garner of the First Pentecostal Churches of Deliverance in April 2004. After this time, God changed the ministry's name to One Accord Church Fellowship International (OACFI) to unify the body of Christ. The ministry of these two puzzle pieces became even more profound. God sent them on a missionary trip in 2006 to Davao, the Philippines, to conduct leadership training for thirty-one pastors and youth leaders. They both taught during the day while Vincent preached at night crusades. God saved souls, one of whom was a witch who received salvation and baptism. In 2013, God sent Vincent and Deborah on another missionary journey to Kenya, Africa, where they ministered and instructed churches in conducting the Lord's Supper. Another growth came in the elevation of Deborah to the office of apostle in November 2016. God was repositioning the two pieces of the puzzle strategically to minister to the body of Christ. Through them, he developed a powerful men's ministry, women's ministry, marriage ministry, and tag team preaching ministry. They have conducted biblical training through the One Accord Bible Institute for various church leaders. Deborah authored a book, "Why Sit Here Until You Die" and is working on a second book. Vincent teaches fivefold leadership training for church leaders. Together they conduct marriage workshops and seminars to strengthen Christian marriages. Vincent and Deborah desire to see the body of Christ whole and be all that Jesus intended. Vincent and Deborah love preaching and teaching the Word of God. January 2021, during the pandemic, they were contacted by Christians in Pakistan to do a bible study each Sunday. After six months, the group of forty grew, and the Christians in Pakistan asked to start a church connected with OACFI. July 2021, God birthed OACFI Pakistan without Vincent or Deborah visiting Pakistan. Only God could set up a church during a pandemic. Vincent and Deborah still conduct bible study on Sunday Mornings with ministry leaders in Pakistan before their morning service. They continue to serve God and His people without thought of themselves. God took two puzzle pieces and made one to fit His grand design. Their passion for God and each other continues to grow daily. They live their life not just before others but also before God. Deborah's mantra, found in Psalm 34:1, she will always bless the Lord, and his praises will continually be in her mouth. Vincent's mantra, found in I Kings 22:14, whatever the Lord says, he will speak. As they continually seek God, He continues to add to their lives and stories for His glory.

Apostle Price received her education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. She attended LaCrosse Primary, LaCrosse Elementary, Park View Junior High, and graduated from Park View Senior High School. In pursuit of higher education, Apostle Price attended Norfolk State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. In February 2002, she and her family relocated to Richmond, Virginia. Apostle Price's outstanding secular career began with five-year employment at WLTY-FM Radio as a Promotions Manager. With the change in radio format, Apostle Price resigned from her position. After leaving WLTY, she returned to her beloved Norfolk State University to pursue a fast track degree in Nursing. As she continued to establish herself in a career, Apostle Price was employed at Operation Smile for two years as a Patient Representative Supervisor. When the Organization filed for bankruptcy after the Vietnam mission, Apostle Price moved to Richmond, V.A. with her aunt and began to work at a local Pearle Vision. In April of 1990, after three months, restless and dissatisfied, Apostle Price packed up and moved to Washington, D.C. After one week in the area, she successfully acquired a job as an office manager for Dr. Lucia Gomez, Cardiologist at Providence Hospital. MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 28

While working as the office manager for Dr. Gomez, Apostle Price attended training and professional development classes to gain additional knowledge. Still not satisfied, Apostle Price applied for a cardiac technician position at the Washington Hospital Center and began employment in November 1990 until April 1999. In April of 1999, during a couples bible study, God spoke to Apostle Vincent to tell Apostle Deborah to come home and rear her boys. Apostle Deborah remained a stay home mom until the boys were eleven years old. Her volunteer efforts in the school with her boys opened a door of employment in elementary school. In 2008, Apostle Deborah found herself facing the most traumatic circumstance any parent could imagine. The youngest triplet's health took a drastic decline and forced Apostle Deborah to quit her job and become a full-time bedside caregiver. In 2017 after much prayer and fasting through her son's healing, Apostle Deborah discovered her true passion and returned to school at Virginia Union University to pursue licensure as an elementary teacher. Apostle Price has been employed with the Richmond Public School's Charter school as a 5th grade teacher since 2019. Apostle Deborah A. Price gave her life to Jesus Christ in April of 1994 at the Christian Outreach Center of Deliverance ("Christian Outreach") in Hyattsville, Maryland, where she served faithfully for eight years, under Bishop Janie Carr. Apostle Deborah was later called into the Ministry in March of 1998 and preached her Initial Sermon, "No More Chains" in July 1998. During Apostle Price's tenure at Christian Outreach, she served in many ministry capacities: Usher Director from 1996 to 2002, Praise and Worship, Choir, and Youth Leader from 1997 to 2002, Sisters Strengthening Sisters 1998 to 2002, Primary Sunday School Teacher 1998 to 2002; Evangelistic Outreach Team. She later became a Teacher in the Bible In-State Program at Christian Outreach. Apostle Price served faithfully as a Minister in Christian Outreach and the First Pentecostal Churches of Deliverance

("F.P.C.O.D."). She served as the Secretary and later VicePresident of the First Pentecostal Churches of Deliverance National Youth Department for eight years. Later, Apostle Deborah faithfully served six years as President of the National Women's Department for F.P.C.O.D. During her tenure with F.P.C.O.D, Apostle Price served the late Founder, Apostle Robert L. Garner, by assisting and co-writing with her husband, Apostle Dr. Vincent Price, a Church Manual, by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, defining Church functions and Ministerial positions In obedience to God and her husband, Apostle Deborah stepped out in faith and was installed alongside her husband, Apostle Dr. Vincent Price, as Pastor of New Jerusalem Ministries in Richmond, Virginia, by the late Apostle Robert L. Garner and the F.P.C.O.D Presbytery on February 1, 2002. While in Richmond, Virginia, Apostle Price worked tirelessly beside her husband to assemble Churches of other denominations to meet every fifth Sunday for Fellowship. This Fellowship led to an Annual Holy Convocation for the Churches in the Richmond, Virginia area, regardless of denomination. Apostle Deborah was finally comfortable in her prophetic mantle and began to assemble women from all walks of life who were broken and cast down. In 2003 her ministry, Between Barrenness and Birth, was brought forth by the Holy Spirit. Many women have found their deliverance in this prophetic ministry. However, God continued to mold the woman of God into His perfect will, and He was not near the finish with His daughter. God called Apostle Deborah to the Apostleship in 2014, and after much resistance, she surrendered and went through consecration by Apostle Dr. Vincent Price on November 19, 2016. In April 2005, Apostle Price and her husband traveled to Davos, Philippines, to teach Ministry Leaders. GIFT OF ANOTHER BREATH - A MIRACLE Angella Dixon-Watson What would you do if you heard knee jerking words "You have aggressive Pancreatic Cancer, already in your lymph nodes and the Oncology team will discuss your treatment protocol?" What thoughts would be racing through your mind? I promptly wrote my Celebrating the Life of Angie Program and identified participants. I knew that my family and friends would do a grand Repast featuring excellent Caribbean cuisine with steel drum and reggae musicians playing song "How Great Thou Art." Frankly, my husband, Ira and I were speechless -- felt ambushed! HERE'S THE BACKDROP TO MY 5 YEAR JOURNEY WITH GOD HOLDING MY HANDS In Spring 2016, I had my annual physical and was pleased that I had perfect health. Four weeks later I suddenly started experiencing 3 symptoms: Itchy skin, Jaundice and Rapid

MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 36

If experiencing unusual symptoms "Don't Self Diagnose." If your doctor is unsure what's happening, be your own advocate ask for a scan, endoscopy or change doctor. Your Life is Worth Saving! FEW POSSIBLE SYMPTOMS FOR EARLIER DETECTION Loss of appetite, abdominal pain, changes in bowel movement, sudden onset of diabetes OR your well controlled diabetes is changing; jaundice, itchy skin, digestive problems, sudden weight loss and you are not dieting (my weight decreased from 164 to 127 lbs). Proverbs 18:15: "An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge and understanding." For reliable information, visit www.letswinpc.org With surgery and recovery successful, treatment options were discussed. I hesitated doing treatment. My premise was "I knew no one who survived PC so why torture myself." My Oncologist intuitively said "Why don't you give treatment a try because your result may be different from others?" I replied, "If I don't do treatment, how much time would I have?" and she said "Up to six months." My treatment included chemo and radiation over 7-1/2 months. God's word says "I will get what I speak" Proverbs 18:21. When I started taking chemo,: I used to speak "I'm going to take this poison" BUT God quickly reminded me to change my language and I started speaking "I'm going to take my healing medicine." Since God took me off all treatment

protocols as of April 2017, I take communion by myself with whatever I have at home. Here's why? I need the Blood of Jesus to keep me Quarantined. He bore our symptoms and sicknesses at the cross so that we may have health and wholeness. In addition, before drinking my herb teas or smoothies; I'll say aloud "Let the healing waters flow through my body this is a supplement but you are the healer" and ABBA, our father, performed a miracle. Heavenly father I thank you for not allowing me to destroy myself with my own words. During the interim of 5 years through July 2021, I received 13 No cancer found reports: THYROID, HEART, BONES NORMAL. NO DISEASE IN THE CHEST, LIVER, ABDOMEN, PELVIS, ADRENALS, SPLEEN NORMAL. BOTTOMLINE: NO NEW, NO PROGRESSIVE, NO METASTATIC DISEASE FOUND. Deuteronomy 31:8 "Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” In addition to traditional treatment, believing God's healing promises, adopting healthy diet and lifestyle changes are keys to healing, along with a positive mental attitude. My next annual appointment is July 2022 and possible discharge. There is no standard protocol to keep seeing me and I don't have cancer. One member on the Oncology team told me

"My recovery is a miracle." Another said "In 15 years at the hospital only 3 made it to 5 years and I'm one of the 3." "To God be the Glory, Great Things He has Done." AS A BELIEVER IN THE WORD, I speak Nahum 1:9 “Sickness and disease shall not return a 2nd time. It's “NOT MY DESTINY.” Psalms 147: 3: "He heals broken hearts and bandages all wounds." Psalms 23:6 "Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life." During my darkest days I started journaling, which got me out of a melancholy mindset. Ira, who instantly became my primary caregiver; grandkids Cierra and Chase, children Dino and Raquel-Ann, daughter-in-law Cristy, family and friends motivated me. Dino's facebook post was a jaw dropper: "My mom had whipple surgery last month. Today we have found out the cancer has spread and she is battling pancreatic cancer. I have to hope that my mom can recover even though the odds aren't good. I have to wonder what's worse, losing a parent in the blink of an eye or watching them slowing leaving you."

Grace and Glory Ministry Growing up I always was taught that Jesus is the reason for the season. Every time around Christmas I and my husband Bro Frankie and my kids come together and decorate the Christmas tree. My kids love to play oldschool Christmas music like silent night. But we love to teach them about the birth of Jesus Christ. And also to spread Joy to other's that are less fortunate. We love to go feed the needy as a pastor I want them to know the joy behind giving to others. As a pastor and leader displaying love and meekness is the Godly way to show passion to others. Our ministry was birth from God. The Name of my Ministry is Grace and Glory Ministry. The vision of our Ministry is touching the hearts of many through grace. We as believers of Christ have to spread joy and peace. The bible says in Nehemiah 8:10 The Joy of the Lord is our strength so as we face this world, we are not facing it alone. And, that is what brings joy to my family's heart. My husband gives back to others in many ways, in the surrounding neighborhoods he gives a helping hand to the elders with cleaning and tidying up their yards.

We know that we could not do anything without God and we give God all the glory. And sometimes when the trials and tribulations come God reminds us that joy comes in the morning. Going out and spreading the joy, peace, and love of God is the reason for the season. Through all the gift-giving, tree trimming, Christmas dinners, gathering together, and even everything that comes with this joyous season, we know that Jesus is the ultimate Gift, and if we find that in our hearts we will always be blessed. Let love draw us together.

Bishop Walter and Dr. Stephanie Daniels For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, Plans to Prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you Hope and a Future. Jeremiah 29:11 Bishop Walter and Dr. Stephanie Daniels probably would have never met, had it not been for what they believe to be the hand of God. They lived in two different areas and came from different upbringings. The likelihood of the two of them crossing paths was slim. It just so happened that after her working at a local restaurant for 2 years and him working at a factory in the same town for 4 years they would be introduced to each other. Mutual friends and coworkers thought that the two would make a good fit. At first, she was hesitant and didn’t want to lose friendship over a possible bad relationship. She decided to go through with the “set up” and the two met on a Tuesday night in March 1994. Stephanie was a high-school senior with plans of leaving the small town for college and building a life for herself. The two meeting would change their lives from that point on. It was amazing to see how life was manifesting answers to a prayer that was prayed by a little girl around the age of 6 or 7. God was doing the miraculous! Stephanie was never seeking or thinking about marriage at such a young age. Besides, she was only 18, still in high school and planning on pursuing college. On the other hand, Walter was thinking the total opposite. “I’m going to marry you. You’re going to be my wife”, are the words that he spoke on a few occasions. After dating for 5 months, they got engaged. The relationship received positive acknowledgement from both of their families. They were married June of the following year. God continued to manifest in the lives of Walter and Stephanie. Who knew just how much He would foster the marriage and allow the couple to grow and mature together in love, faith and family? God gave them both hope and a future. They served faithfully in ministry and grew spiritually as they built a life that they love. Walter supported and encouraged Stephanie as she pursued a degree in Early Childhood Education. Little did he know that this juncture would continue for years as a Bachelor’s Degree led to a Master’s Degree, a Specialist’s Degree and a Doctorate. He kept his promised to ensure that she did whatever she desired as it related to her education. Along the way Walter continued his education as well. He desired to return to school for Physical Therapy, adding to an Associate’s Degree in Electronics. Stephanie was happy to support her husband just as he had done for so long without growing visibly weary. They have both worked and served in their respective careers ever since. God has blessed Walter and Stephanie with 2 daughters that they adore: Akelah Denae and Akevia Shenae.

Bishop Walter and Dr. Stephanie have been graced to serve at Loving Kindness Outreach Ministries for the past 20 years. All in His timing and according to His plan. Bishop Daniels is the founding pastor of the ministry. God gave him the name of the ministry because that would be the mission, to do ministry with love and kindness. To draw the people of the community to Christ through that same love, that same kindness. The birthplace of LKOM was their living room. They grew from the living room to their sunroom and later to a rented chapel. Not long after, God allowed this young ministry to purchase land for the erection of a new edifice. God Had Been Faithful! God has continued to allow a faithful group of servants to serve with them in ministry. God’s plans and purpose for the Daniels continues to be revealed and the hand of God over their lives is apparent. The past 26 years of marriage have been nothing short of amazing. Their life has been blessed to be used by God as they have grown together over the years. Who knew the process of becoming one would cause the hand of God to design the two into who they are today? God purposed the two love and grow together and to stand firmly on the words they each declared before her pastor: to love and honor each other whether sick or healthy, rich or poor! By the Grace, Faithfulness and Love of God, Together, They Built a Life They Love!

Namun and Rhasheeda

Ministry and Love

Namun and Rhasheeda Hague are a married couple who have been together for the past fourteen years. Our three children, Naaman, Hadassah and Israel round out our immediate family. We are a family that is growing, developing, and aspiring to help encourage other families not only in their daily living, but also in their lives before the Lord. Within our ministry, Wisdom for the Wilderness, we focus on building the family unit. Our heart is to instill faith and confidence within each family member. Then the family as a whole will be helped as each member is fulfilled and complete. We desire to affectionately generate cohesion among the household of faith as well as ethnically. Our hearts are knit with people, especially younger men and women. By inspiring the next generation, it allows hope to flow immensely. And by loving the next generation, we encourage positive change. Wisdom For the Wilderness is about building families. We want to emphasize wholeness and have the entire family unit to work and correspond together. We desire to challenge the family to set some goals and then achieve them. Through making deeper connections, engaging in the word of God, focusing on effective communication and the willingness to honor one another, we bridge gaps and open doors which can heal the family. The entire family benefits when there is structure, order and purpose. That is when families grow and develop cohesively rather than apart. This brings everyone together. This is what Wisdom for the Wilderness desires to give; families the opportunity to accomplish great things. Growing is always learning, so there are always going to be some form of adjusting or tweaking that must be done. Truly, we do have a good understanding of one another and how to flow together. Rhasheeda, my wife, is typically going to lead with commentary or activity that correlates to an individual’s heart. There have been times with just a hug, she has been able to break through self imposed walls and barriers to expose the root of a matter. She contends to extract what is really going on within a person. Not that she is moved by tears or emotion, but that usually results from her correspondence with an individual. I, Namun, can be identified through my speech. The tone and the texture of not only my voice, but my words all change. The intensity and overall deliberation becomes ratcheted up. My mannerisms and gestures are very demonstrative. The most important aspect of flowing together is not having to be seen or to be in the spotlight. It is allowing the Holy Spirit the freedom to operate and move through whomever he

deems necessary. If it is her, then I back up, I yield. If it is me then she relinquishes her position. We both want the Lord to have his way. Our romantic endeavors evolved as we were attending the same church and actively participating in the same areas of ministry. We knew of each other, but thus far, there was no attraction between the two of us. All this changed when one day I, Namun, was coming up to the entryway of the church when the Lord had begun to reveal Rhasheeda to me. After that, I had begun to pursue her. I was attracted to her much like Hosea was to Gomer. For the first time concerning her, I spoke fluently with her. This was significant because my practice was to keep conversations with women short and sweet. I was so engaged and involved in the conversation that I remained close to her for nearly an hour. I only became more intoxicated by her from there. Since I strive to be unique and different, I began writing notes in calligraphy and leaving them tucked under the windshield wipers of her car. On occasion, I would even leave a flower sometimes bundled in the note. After I had done this over the course of several weeks, she went and reported my activities to our pastor. He discussed with her that it was okay and that I was a good brother. She then asserted herself. She approached me and let me know that she had no time for games. If we were to seriously start seeing one another, we would go on a three day fast to hear from the Lord to ensure that this union is from Him. In my mind, three days were no challenge for me. I already knew who she was to me and most importantly I knew that I couldn’t see living my life without her. Following the completion of the fast, we began dating. After several months of strengthening our bonds, we were ready to set a date. Due to the timing and availability of our location and pastor, we settled for the day after our birthdays. This led to the coining of the phrase “Happy Annibirthery” (thank you DeDeauxs’). Over the last set of years as a couple, we have really begun to hit our stride. We have come closer than we have ever been. The most powerful change took place when I, Namun, began to communicate more intently. I purposed to share all of myself. Previously I attempted to protect myself from hurt and in a way establish control by limiting what I released. Simultaneously, I attempted to bury my flaws, but like with any mess, given time, it was revealed. That forced me to get before the Lord and determine, the husband, father, minister and collectively, the man that I wanted to be. Now, since that change has taken place, revelation has been the driving force for our marriage. We not only hear one another’s concerns, but we have determined to put a great deal of attention on what the Lord is saying to us. Also, along the same line of thinking, we have “placed everything at Christ’s everything” (acronym for PEACE Matthew 15:30). We are determined not to work independently of Him. We are agreeing with Him and with each other. This has ultimately led to a more peaceful and productive marriage and way of life. Within our home we have a motto: “Give yourself every opportunity to succeed.” In this we mean to eliminate excuses. We want to always be moving towards our goal and to not let so called barriers stand in our way. Time is the measurement of life, but if we are not mindful and calculating how we use it, we lose it. And with its loss comes the loss of opportunities. Everyone is full of potential, but how many people miss out on opportunities because of the amount of time they have wasted. Proverbs 11:1 says that: “A false balance is an abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.” So, knowing this, we must take advantage of the times and opportunities that lay before us. We must seize the day. MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 43

Derrol and Dr. Corene

Derrol and Dr. Corene Johnson are taking the world by storm! They were joined in Holy matrimony in July of 2018 and have been an unstoppable force. You may ask what does a power couple represent? A power couple is a couple who both compliments each other's strengths and supports each other's individuality. They are considered role models when it comes to relationships. Dr. Corene Johnson has a marriage ministry entitled, “Teach Me How to Love You!” She shares that platform often with her husband as they empower other couples to have godly and healthy marital relationships. As a power couple they come together in their relationship and manage to empower one another instead of dragging one another down. Derrol and Corene alike have had previous marriages that have failed, so they truly have learned to encourage and love each other unconditionally. In order to be a power couple, you have to be 100% invested in your relationship, and that will only bring about more love between the two of you. In the land of social media, we can all look at other people's relationships and think they are better than ours, focusing on what we don't have. MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 44

Dr. Johnson encourages married couples to be content with their spouse and give them grace to grow in the relationship. If you desire to have a great marriage you must consistently walk in forgiveness and stop concentrating on their deficiencies and focus in on the things that they do well. A Power couple consist of “Two complete, whole people, which equals one happy couple.” A good partner also is godly, honest, respectful, loyal, forgiving, and humble. They have “the capability to provide unconditional love.” What makes a strong relationship? A strong relationship can be considered a team. You work together and support each other, even when you don't see eye to eye on something or have goals that aren't exactly the same. In short, you have each other's back. You know you can turn to them when you're struggling. Of course, I saved the best element of a power couple for last. Every couple wanting to do marriage right must understand that since God designed marriage in the first place, He must be at the center. As Psalm 127:1 tells us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it” (Psalm 127:1). But how does that look in daily life? Here are five essentials for making your marriage thrive: 1.Be thankful for your spouse. Your spouse is a gift from God just as surely as Eve was a gift to Adam (Genesis 2:20-24)—created to help meet your needs as a partner in life. But the demands of life, family, and work can cloud your attitude. Thanking God often for your spouse is a practical way to focus on what is good and admirable about him or her. It is helpful to occasionally reflect on the early days and recall what attracted you, on what made you pledge your life and love to each other, and to be thankful. 2. Practice communicating from the heart. It is vital to communicate authentically in both the good and the difficult times of marriage. As you grow together, you will learn more about the how and when of communicating well with your spouse, so pay attention to what works and what doesn’t. Transparent conversation, where each of you risks revealing your deepest thoughts, ideas, fears, hopes, and dreams, creates the strong foundation of a lasting marriage.

The Scriptures emphasize being open and vulnerable in communication. Paul modeled transparency when he wrote to the Corinthians, many of whom were not exactly his admirers: “For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote you with many tears; not that you should be made sorrowful, but that you might know the love which I have especially for you” (2 Corinthians 2:4). Paul was not afraid to weep or say, “I love you.” Jesus wept over the death of Lazarus (John 11:35) and lamented His rejection by hard-hearted .)Jerusalem (Luke 13:34

5. Be teachable. Marriages are always a work in progress. Each spouse is changing and developing, which means there are new things to learn at every age. Sometimes marriages run into problems that need the help of a third party. If this happens in your marriage, find someone who will work in support of your marriage, not just agree with your grievances. Make sure this person is committed to both Christ and the two of you. As you break from the noise of your day to reflect on the ways God is blessing you through the life of your spouse, we pray that your heart will be filled with gratitude for this gift—someone for you to love and 3. Be intimate. From relational intimacy springs sexual someone to love you—fashioned by the Creator intimacy. The safety of being known and still being especially for you. We pray God will show you ways to accepted—in spite of our flaws—finds its expression in express your heart openly to your spouse so the two of marriage through sex. It is a gift to married couples from you will grow even closer. We pray that you will enjoy God; it is where we express complete, unashamed intimacy of soul and body and that your passion oneness (Genesis 2:24-25). Relational and sexual becomes fuller and deeper each day. intimacy keeps a marriage from deteriorating into little And we pray that the love in your marriage will be so more than a legally arranged partnership. Remember, it real, so vibrant, so lasting that all who see it will know takes time and attentiveness to nurture this kind of God gave this love to you. relationship. 4. Practice the power of forgiveness. Because we are broken, imperfect human beings, we will fail our spouse repeatedly. We will focus on flaws, cease to communicate, and offend each other without trying. All of this demands a steady supply of forgiveness. The Bible tells us to “be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32). There is great power in forgiveness—it says, “The fight is over, and I will not try to punish you.” Failing marriages can be revived by forgiveness; healthy marriages are sustained by it.

appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death (Prov. 14:12). Balancing family and ministry might seem like an oxymoron because at the end of the day, family is first, and balance doesn’t always seem feasible. No matter how hard it seems, the Bible admonishes us in 1 Timothy 5:8, “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” I keep this in mind and work towards including my family in ministry. One of the ways I include them is by bringing them with me when I travel, including them in the planning and organizing of evangelistic work and allowing them to be a part of it when possible. I believe that as my children get older and are exposed to various assignments and territories, they will develop an understanding that will last a lifetime that can be passed on to their families. Working alongside my husband allows for an increase in understanding as well regarding the time and commitment needed to do the work.

Family

AND MINISTRY

Throughout the scriptures we see God’s design for the family as the foundational institution of society ordained by God. It is constituted by marriage and is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood or adoption. While it consists of such, what makes a family unique and what keeps things interesting is the fact that each member comes with their own unique characteristics, talents, etc. Oftentimes we can forget this and attempt to ask of marriage and family what God never intended for it to give, which is a conflict free, perfect life. In Luke 12 we see a description of division as it applies to family. Jesus said in Luke 12:51-53, “Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” This is more than a description, but a promise of things that we would see. In the challenges that my family has faced, one thing that has kept us is the Word. My husband does very well in looking through the redemptive eyes of Christ when there are challenges whether they are in the immediate or external family. I can attest to having experienced challenges in my family, but if it were not for the Word, I like many others would have settled things my own way. Thankfully, the Bible cautions us of the fact that there is a way that MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 47

Right now, adhering to a schedule is key. Everything that I do from recording to writing books is done at night when my family is asleep. This is a sacrifice, but when I look back at those sleepless nights and all that has been accomplished thus far, it has been well worth it. What keeps me grounded is knowing that parents have the primary responsibility and God-given authority to teach their children. On days when I feel like slacking, I remember that it is not only a responsibility, but a privilege to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, that they may come to know Christ (Eph. 6:4). I am reminded that parents are responsible for their children's general education (Gal. 4:1-2 ) as well as their spiritual and theological education (Deut. 6:6-9, Prov. 1:7). On top of ministry, I work from home and teach my two children Malachi who is 4 and Jael who is 2. Our days and weekends are filled with learning, playtime and worship. They love messianic worship music and even sing in Hebrew. I often find Malachi and Jael lifting their hands and singing Kadosh which means holy in Hebrew. Malachi worships everywhere we go and Jael dances and is now making her own songs unto the Lord. I realize the significance of the impartation they receive from me as well as from the atmosphere we try to maintain in our home. My husband is great with doing Bible study with the kids while making it fun and engaging. As a team, we work to bring the kingdom into our home so the presence of God becomes their reality and for all who may enter.

Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size But when I start to tell them, They think I’m telling lies. I say, It’s in the reach of my arms, The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It’s the fire in my eyes, And the flash of my teeth, The swing in my waist, And the joy in my feet. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me.

Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can’t touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them, They say they still can’t see. I say, It’s in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. Now you understand Just why my head’s not bowed. I don’t shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing, It ought to make you proud. I say, It’s in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand, The need for my care. ’Cause I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me.

od's Temple of Holy Praise

Pastor Ervin Flanders & Prophetess Viola Flanders

Pastor Ervin and Prophetess Viola Flanders received Christ as their personal Savior and were filled with the Holy Spirit, evidence by the speaking of tongues, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in 1985 during a revival ministered by the late Apostle Wille J. Flanders of God’s Temple of Holy Praise in Rochester, New York. Knowing their desire for the sincere milk of God’s word, Apostle Flanders released them into the hands of God’s Tabernacle under Evangelist Carrie Bell where they were faithful stewards and disciples for seven years. In 1985, Pastor and Prophetess Flanders received their callings of Pastor and Prophetess from God and received confirmation through the laying on of hands by Evangelist Carrie Bell. In 1992, they returned to Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church where Pastor Flanders served as a Deacon and Prophetess Flanders sang in the choir. While attending Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Prophetess Flanders in accordance with 2 Timothy 1:6 began to stir up the gift of God which she received by the laying on of hands and allowed God to birth out the Wailing Women Ministry in 2002. In her obedience to God, the ministry flourished with 27 women. Of those women, many received salvation, spiritual healing, and deliverance which were evidenced by the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. In 2004, God mandated Pastor Flanders to walk in the call of Pastor and he went decently to Pastor David Brewer, Dr. and shared with him the divine calling God had on his life. Soon after Minister of Music Lashawnda Flanders, Evangelist Stacie Rogers, Prophetess Tiffany Jones, and Prophetess Varnyetta Porter, who were birthed out in the Wailing Women Ministry, were chosen by God to help fulfill the mandate God gave Pastor Flanders and to serve as laborers of the ministry. Being called out to build the ministry under the covering of the late Apostle Willie J. Flanders and Pastor Angelina Flanders, God’s Temple of Holy Praise #2 was established and functioning as a body under the leadership of Pastor Ervin and Prophetess Viola Flanders in July 2005. MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 58

On August 28, 2005, God blessed the ministry with favor through Reverend C.J. Henry and Mrs. Catherine Henry, who divinely provided the first church home located at 305 Spring Creek Road, Bainbridge, Georgia 39817. A divine appointment to be installed was set for September 11, 2005, at Solid Rock under the Pastorship of Derwin Inlow. On October 22, 2006, Pastor Ervin and Prophetess Viola Flanders were ordained at Christ Tabernacle of the Living Word under the leadership of Bishop Kelvin D. Wells, Sr. After much fasting and praying for their own sanctuary, the ministry received a breakthrough on November 15, 2007, through Realtor Reese Rollins with Miller Griffin Realty. God soon granted the ministry financial favor through Mrs. Debra Middleton with First Port City Bank and closing occurred on January 11, 2008. Renovations began with the gutting out, tearing down, and adding on of walls. The building was turned into a fiveroomed sanctuary with a hallway, proper flooring, carpeting, walls, sheet rock, ceilings, lighting and fixtures, electrical outlets, new air conditioning and heating unit, new doors, and windows. The furnishings were prayerfully picked, chosen, and placed inside the sanctuary. Being led by God, the sanctuary was decorated by Prophetess Flanders and all the women of God’s Temple of Holy Praise #2. Through a fast called by God through Pastor and Prophetess Flanders, a date was set to dedicate the sanctuary, the furnishings, the leaders, and the members to God for His purpose and the up building of His Kingdom. In 2016, under the leadership of Pastor and Prophetess Flanders a new adult praise team was established, additional ushers were added to the ministry; an additional Sunday school class was added, and the Unity Hall was added.

oel McCray

THE PRODUCER AND ARTIST

BY JOEL MCCRAY He was only 18-months old when he began to play recognizable melodies. According to his mother, Joel McCray never banged on the keys of the piano. He would take a few fingers to explore the different sounds. However, at 18 months old, his mother began to recognize the melodies. Joel was the son of a Baptist preacher, Roosevelt McCray, and an evangelist and church music minister, Ruby McCray. Thus, as the saying goes, “whenever the doors of the church were open” the McCrays were there. While carrying him in her womb, Ms. McCray would sit and play at the piano and pray over her unborn child that her baby would be anointed with the gift of music. Ms. McCray’s prayers did not go unanswered. Before Joel turned two, she discovered that he could not only pick out the melodies he heard at church, but he was actually playing the melodies in the same key. By the age of five, Ms. McCray created a music studio in their home to start giving piano lessons. In 1975, Joel became one of her first students. It was around 1976 that Ms. McCray found herself struggling with a few of the chord progressions of the great song “Be Grateful” by Walter Hawkins. To her surprise, she heard her young six-year-old playing the song like a polished pro. It was then, at the age of six, that Joel started playing for the adult choir on Sunday mornings. His feet dangling from the piano bench or resting on an empty box of ginger snap cookies, Joel began his career of being a church musician. He studied classical, gospel, ragtime, and contemporary music through his mother’s home-school of music. Through Ms. McCray’s teaching, he learned how to read music and understand classical theory which would become a significant anchor in his professional, music career. During his teenaged years, Joel McCray struggled to find his place in church music. The sounds that played in his head didn’t mirror the soul-stirring harmonies of traditional or contemporary gospel.

MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 70

Joel was hearing harmonies in his mind that gave him chills; however, when he explored those harmonies during the singing of the church hymns, the mothers of the church were not having it. It was a weekly highlight to be able to hang out after church and play the piano until the deacons kicked you out. However, the consistent message Joel heard was that, God didn’t want that worldly music in the Lord’s house. That was the beginning of some very dark years. To add to the pressures of that anxiety, Joel’s parent ended up divorcing when he was 15 years old. It was then, Joel found himself completely lost, angry with his father, buried in racism at school, and unsure of what career path to take. For the first time in his life. Music was no longer an outlet, and the soundtrack of music in his mind went silent. Music was his inspiration, but Joel heard nothing. With every passing second, rage and resentment began to swell inside of Joel’s heart, but God had a ram in the bush. This would become Joel’s new love – track and field. At the sound of the gun, Joel could release his rage with each step down the track. That rage led him to district, regional, and state, high-school, 1A champion in the 100m, 200m, and long jump. His high school track accomplishments opened the door for him to get a full scholarship to the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), where he would become one of the most decorated athletes in UTA’s history with event championships, All-American status, a 1992 Olympic trials invitation, university records, and a Hall of Fame induction. He also graduated with honors and with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree focusing in Finance. However, upon graduating from UTA, the rage and resentment returned like a rogue wave. His track career was completed, and a career in music was nowhere in sight. Silence still occupied the seats of the vibrant orchestra that used to fill his mind. To add insult to injury, Joel found himself working a 9-5, corporate job at a large, commercial bank. Although he was thankful for a job, it did not align with his purpose or passion – music. The healing and realignment began once Joel had a time of reconciliation with his father. By letting go of the past hurt and unforgiveness, the flood of rage, resentment, and anxiety disappeared. The music began to play again in his mind, and inspiration soon returned. MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | PAGE 71

Business And Ministry By Genesis

Business in my point of view is meeting people’s need Like a way of buying what people need then sell it to them to get profit from what you sold out Business is a broad term, but these profit-seeking activities generally include providing some kind of good or service that people want or need. Businesses may experience a loss, but that doesn't stop them from being a business. All that's important from the standpoint of defining a business is that the entity seeks to profit from what it does. Music is a business. Ministry is a business What is music? Music is a personality. The soul behind the music is that music "My music is the spiritual expression of what I am - my faith, my knowledge, my being ... When you begin to see the possibilities of music, your desire to do something really good for people, to help humanity free itself from its hangups ... I want to speak to their souls." Music was given to us to make the world a better place Without music this life will be empty. I am into music so this is the business I do I bring out my emotions in form of music and sell it out there to bless or impact someone And what I get in return is profits from the CD sold or show I organize.

Types of ministry. Ministry is in two phases What is ministry. Ministry is service. When we serve we meet people’s 1. Capacity (The anointing, the spiritual aspect of needs In the other hand ministry is meeting people’s needs through ministry ) the gift of God giving to use. Our gift was given to bless lives and meet 2. Gift ( This is the gift and it’s the non spiritual people’s needs. Ministry is work and not a job. A work is what you do aspect of ministry) Ministry is given for the body of Christ to be edified for a lifetime while a job is what you do to earn a living. You get and to grow into the fullness of Christ. Ephesians employed to a job but you employ yourself to a work. Work is what you have full knowledge of, what you are so experience about. 4:11-13 Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: It’s called the 5 fold ministry To everyone into ministry we have an office where we belong here in this office John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Jesus Christ was a perfect example for us about ministry he balanced it on all sides He made us understand that ministry is a work. To every man going into ministry this thre things must be considered very well before launching into ministry this three keys will sustain and keep the man or woman going Even when trials arise. 1. Know who your caller (Who called you into ministry) 2. Know what you are called to do( Your lane, your message, what your message is) 3. Know who you are called to ( know your audience, the message you has got who are those you ara sent to speak it to,) This three things is very important in ministry. MOGUL LEADER MAGAZINE | 72

One of the best resorts in Cancun is undoubtedly the Paradisus Cancun. Its tropical design, the nine restaurants, and seven bar, or the comprehensive amenities will make you feel in paradise. If you’re on a budget, then you might consider the Panama Jack Resort, located just over a mile south of Punta Cancun and featuring a gorgeous beachfront outlook. 6.Dive and snorkeling Diving or snorkeling during your Cancun vacation will simply take your breath away. Cancun will surprise you with many hidden treasures, and you might find yourself admiring underwater rivers, discovering shipwrecks, and even browsing underwater art! One of the best diving and snorkeling spots is definitely the Cenote Dos Ojos, or Two Eyes, named after the double rivers that come together in an impressive underwater cavern. 7. Mayan heritage The pulsating city of Cancun, Mexico, is surrounded by some of the world’s most fascinating ancient cities built hundreds of centuries ago by the Mayan civilization. Go from the lights and glitz of the city to the ancient charm of Mayan ruins or into the lush jungle of the Yucatan Peninsula. Each Mayan temple has its own story and captivating past. However, make sure you don’t miss Chichen Itza, by far the most famous Mayan ruins in Mexico. The famous El Castillo pyramid, one of the new seven wonders of the world, will appear in all its grandeur.
