Residential Typologies

The theme of the Premium villas, townhouses, and apartments was to convey diffrent element of nature, as a result each typology was developed with a unique identiy, while maintianing a cohesive over arching theme, which overall allows the resort to seem as a much more bonded body of work

Apartments

Above and below are some design development drawings during the concept stages. The apartments draw inspiration, much like the rest of the resort, their inspiration from the natural surronding context. The apartments were a bigger challenge due to their scale, and proportions. As a result a fractal strategy was taken into consideration when designing the facade of the building. The building draws inspiration from the element of water, the natural undualtion, and lack of stillness of water

The original mass of the building is blank canvas

Windows are punched into the facade of the building in according to the plans od the building. A mixture of diffrent sized openeing helps vary the facade of the building

Floor slabs are extruded, and shaped in a wave pattern to create baclconies for residents as well as conform to the context or locality of its context, as well as it orignal concept

Vertical elements follow the same pattern, in order to hide the overall width of the building, and to even out proportions

Railings are placed in the balconies, conforming to the constraints of the the horizontal, and vertical elements. As a result the railing help solify the concept of water, and mountains

Lastly the entrance of the building is extruded to give users a visual indication of wayfinding
