MUHAMMED ABBAS Abbas has been graduated at Faculty of Fine Arts, ALexandria University. He is interested in Heritage conservation and participated in several workshops to promote the cultural heritage in the domain. Abbas is a passionate architect, with a solid experience in different aspects of architecture. He has developed his skills and architectural expertise through his studies, participating in national and international competitions as well as being a parttime teaching assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Architecture department. He is perusing to develop his architectural knowledge by working on Master planning, architecture and interior designs over wide range of scales. Y’AHL EL HAY 72 HOURS DESIGN COMPETITION. -Our proposal was shortlisted with another team and we worked together to get a final product Y’AHL EL HAY project is a participatory urban development project Initiated by CSP unit -UNHCR Egypt, designed and implemented by Ecumene Studio It was to redesign the yards of a Health Center in El-Salam awal Area, Cairo Under the umbrella of Terre Des Hommes, and in partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Health.

MASTER PLAN | AL JADA

Arada, 2017 Sharjah - United Arab Emirates 2,200,000.00 s.q.m. Architect & Urban Designer| Design Development. Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUP, Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.

The siteâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s trapezoidal geometry introduced a constraining framework on the initial solutions produced for Al Jada. The grain produced by the curving avenues and the linear connections creates an opportunity for linear parks to run through the development, transforming the park from a stationary open space to a dynamic healthy linkage. A good city is a walkable city. As Sharjah stridesforward to becoming a healthy city in the region, Al Jada aligns with that orientation by taking into considercommunity with the right distribution and location of land uses. The subdivision plan consists of the following land uses: residential, mixeduse residential, commercial and entertainment, retail, hospitality, commercial offices, recreational, public and community facilities, open space and utilities. The strategy used to define the building footprints was to achieve the maximum plot efficiency that mediates between built up area, open space, walkability within its neighbourhoods on multiple levels. The first walkability study aims to find how far could a user reach within Al Jada within a radius of just 350 meters, which is less than a standard walkable distance in UAEâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s climate. Almost all blocks interlock with at least two adjacent blocks. The central linear park links most blocks with each other at the specified radius. The development is planned to be a balanced well-functioning mixed use between structures and parking efficiency. The height strategy for the development was a simple approach that corresponds to the site constraints such as the flying path and the major highways that surrounds its boundaries. Therefore, the highest points were projected along the edges and steeped down to meet the lowest points at the centre. The idea was to fence off the development from the surrounding context while providing a more serene environment within the core.
