POST PANDEMIC STRATEGIES In response to the global pandemic, MOI closed our showrooms, utilized company-wide teleworking, and hosted virtual internal and external meetings to ensure the health and safety of our clients, partners, employees, and communities. During our time at home, MOI developed a team to strategically plan our own safe return to each of our showrooms. This team developed alternate work schedules, signage, sanitation protocols, product recommendations, and additional tips for returning safely to the workplace. As we transition back to our showrooms, we are mindful that this situation is fluid. We encourage our employees and guests to provide feedback frequently to help maintain a safe, healthy, and collaborative environment. This document shares how our showrooms will shift and the strategies we developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to provide guidance as your teams prepare to return to the workplace in a safe and healthy manner. Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Stay safe and six feet apart. - The MOI Family

The guidelines included are based on information from the World Health Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), and strategic partners and may not be suitable for application to all office situations. Please follow all local, state, and national guidelines in reopening your office and bringing your team, partners, and clients back into the office space. WORKPLACE ADJUSTMENT STRATEGIES SANITATION SANITATION STATION Now more than ever, it is imperative to be diligent with cleaning procedures in the workplace to minimize the spread of disease. Providing sanitation stations with cleaning supplies in meeting spaces and other high traffic areas will encourage employees to sanitize frequently. These stations include the following products: » Hand sanitizer » Disinfectant wipes » Paper towels

FURNITURE CLEANING GUIDELINES Knoll’s recommended cleaning products are listed below. When properly used in accordance with the manufacturer’s directions for use and dilution, these products will not cause harm to the furniture. » Envirox® H2Orange2 Concentrate 117 » Virox™ Accelerated™ Hydrogen Peroxide 5 » Envirox® EvolveO2™ (GNx2 technology) #1, MultiPurpose Cleaner & Degreaser The Center for Disease Control (CDC) advises social distancing and frequent hand-washing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

WALK THIS WAY

WALK THIS WAY & TREAD CAREFULLY

TREAD CAREFULLY

WALK THIS WAY Revised paths of travel are established and monitored to minimize personal interactions. By providing “Walk This Way” signage, employees and guests can safely navigate the modified layout. For example, our MOI DC showroom has vinyl arrows on the hallway floors indicating the clockwise traffic direction throughout the office. TREAD CAREFULLY It is important for employees and guests to be aware of their surroundings when visiting the showroom. Collaborative areas, kitchen/café areas, restrooms, and intersection hubs should be approached carefully to avoid close interaction. Employees and guests will be reminded of these guidelines on a regular basis to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

WORKPLACE ADJUSTMENT STRATEGIES ALTERNATE SEATING SCHEDULE To comply with the CDC-recommended 6’ social distancing, the workplace requires minimized density. For an open plan environment with benching workstations, an alternative seating schedule will help employees practice social distancing with minimal furniture reconfiguration.

To establish the seating schedule, MOI measured a 12’ diameter around each task chair to determine which workstations fall in Groups A and B. For a 48” work-surface, every other workstation should be vacant. See a portion of MOI’s Workspace Area Social Distancing Plan below.

MOI DC has established an alternate seating schedule. Group A has access to the workplace on Monday and Tuesday, while Group B has access on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday remains a remote workday for all MOI DC employees.

To reinforce social distancing, we have placed screens between workstations and provided space dividers in open areas to clearly communicate which seats are available during the alternate seating schedule.

WORKPLACE ADJUSTMENT STRATEGIES COLLABORATIVE AREAS Collaborative areas, such as conference rooms and cafés, are densely populated with a variety of touch points. It is important to communicate the adjustment strategies with MOI employees using signage at the entrance of each room and providing cleaning supplies. Excess chairs are removed to avoid the possibility of exceeding the new occupancy limit for the room.

MAXIMUM PARTY OF OCCUPANTS To establish the maximum number of occupants for each space, we established a 12’ diameter around each chair in the room. This ensures that there is adequate distance between chairs and provides the maximum occupancy number. See an example of our Collaborative Area Social Distancing Plan below.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS IN SIGNAGE » Specify the maximum number of occupants » Reiterate social distancing & face mask requirements » Require cleaning area after every use
