Progress Towards Doubling Reach on the Ground The Moishe House International Fund (MHIF) has helped enable us to support new leaders who want to build pluralistic communities and establish places to be proudly and confidently Jewish. See some of the new communities that have grown this year:
We welcomed the addition of Moishe House London - Belsize Park in February and have plans for further expansion in London with two more houses!
Moishe House will host the first-ever Latin American Training Conference (Lati Con) in Buenos Aires, Argentina in November. With 4 houses now in South America and Spain, the Conference will include 30 Moishe House residents, alumni and staff!
Moishe House Shanghai hosted their first ever LGBTQ Shabbat with 29 attendees and 14 unique participants!
Still More Demand We are still just getting started! We are working to build off of your support to continue expanding the MHIF and say “yes” to more eager young adults like Clarice in Sao Paulo who recently applied with a group of friends to open a house. “I think that there’s a lack of agenda/space/events to practice meaningful Judaism for young adults in São Paulo. Especially after participating in youth movements, young adults are a little bit lost about what can be done in the Jewish community.”
- Clarice Knijnik Burgos, Moishe House Sao Paulo applicant
Thank you for supporting this global movement of Jewish young adults building community for their peers. We look forward to continuing to share the ways the MHIF is inspiring Jewish homes in cities around the world. www.moishehouse.org/mhif
