Garden Maintenance Skills

This course is designed to provide you with basic understanding of maintaining and managing a garden, allotment and as a start to working in a farm.

You will be required to:

• Know about tools and equipment needed for garden maintenance • Be able to maintain a garden including tasks involved in different seasons • Know the importance and tasks of lawn preparation and maintenance • Understand the correct garden waste disposal methods In addition, you will learn how to communicate with others at work through practical activities in the farm. This teaching will help you to understand how our environment works, and you will learn transferable skills that for your further training, employment or explore opportunities for start your own gardening business. You will gain credits and certificate plus support for employment and /or further education.
