NORTH IDAHO JUNIOR COLLEGE '
Fo1ewo1d To communicate through every facet of a book , from cover Lo cover, is to provide lhe reader with a general but some-
what personal view of the past two semesters at NIJC. The purpose of this book is to aid memories of the reader, not
to be exclusive, not to show only the good . It is impossible to provide a complete and accurate account of every phase of NIJC life, and we do not try to . We have, however, tried
to produce the best yearbook NIJC has ever had. We think we have . Thank you, NIJC, for giving us the chance to prove ourselves . For my staff, Curtis G. Chase Editor , 1966 Driftwood

Succegg Ever With Tom Joneg Exit the Body, the fall production of the Cardinal Pl ayers was a farce of suspense which kept the audience on the edge of their chairs until the final curtain . Bodies kept appearing and disappearing in a closet on stage . Morning of Glory, a one a.ct Christmas play was presented at a student assembly just before the holidays and was well accepted by the audience . Tom Jones, produced in the Spring, was adopted from the book by Henry Fielding . There was a deviation from the usual stage setting as the audience was greeted with a bare stage and all changes, done by the "servants, " took place before the eyes of the viewers . This play broke all attendance records for the Cardinal Pl ayers . The drama department, renamed the Cardinal Players, this year has grown in size and scope beyond all expectations . Two three-act productions and four one -a.ct plays have been presented to the public and students this season.

The Cardinals came through with a very successful season this year . In the season of regular play the Cards posted a record of 26 wins, 1 loss and 1 "tie. " The Cards went onto the floor with the intent to win and did so . Under the e>..-pert direction of coach Rollie Williams, the boys defeated some very good teams. With the regul ar season out of the way the Cards went to Ontario, Oregon to meet teams from Oregon in the district playoffs. They won games from Clatsop College, Blue Mountain, and Columbia Christian . The DisL1.路ict Title gave the Cards the chance to travel to PhoenL-x, Arizona to defeat The College of Eastern Utah in the Regional Tournament. A bad night for the NIJC saw the Cards defeated in the finals by Dixie College .
