The Cardinals of NIJC established themselves as dangerous opponents to all in 19H52, as they displayed their winning ways both at home and on the road. Coach Bob Linck and his cagers were victorious over the Jr. Varsities of the Univ. of Idaho, Wash. State College, Idaho State College and the highly touted Varsity of Carroll College of Montana. Wennatchee JC also fell to the Cardinals as NIJC earned a berth into the Regional playoffs at Bremerton, Wash. The trip to the coast brought the season to a conclusion as the North Idaho Cagers were eliminated by Vanport, Oregon.
Keegan scores against Eastern Washington.

Our Hawaiian guests
Some got in early
Opening Night The Hawaiian All-Stars from Honolulu were entertained by the Nor Idaho Cagers in the season opener at Coure D 'Alene as the Cardin: gathered a 64-46 victory before a large crowd. The second meeti1 between these two teams also found the Cardinals on the winni1 side of the score as they repeated with a 56-53 win at Wallace ti following night. Both nights, however, found the Hawaiians highly successful on tl entertainment side as they displayed at half-time the dances and soni of their native land. The four Aloha Maids brought praise and a1 plauds from the fans for their excellent performances.

Cage Highlights The season of 1952-53 did not measure up to the season of the past in regard to the win and loss column, but did find the North Idaho cagers high in spirit and determination. Lacking the strength in the height department of last year, the diminutive aggregation managed to hand defeats to the Eastern Washington College of Education JV's for the first time. While dropping close decisions to Gonzaga, Whitworth and Washington State College JV's, the Cardinals ended their season play with a well earned victory over the University of Idaho Freshmen with a 54-49 finale. Coach Linck was high in his praise for his cagers throughout the season for their hustle.
