Daily Talk Challenge! Our Mental Health Support Team at Link4Life are challenging everybody to talk and create conversation with either a friend or family member at least once per day during the Children’s Mental Health week. Both adults and children can take part in this challenge! There are two challenges to complete per day. We hope creating this will encourage more people to talk and share thoughts, feelings and emotions and help to reduce stress and ease anxiety.
7 Topics Choose one of these topics per day to create conversation with either a friend or family member. You can have a drink and a healthy snack by your side so you can sit and relax for as long as the conversation flows. Remember to ask each other how you are feeling before the conversation starts to check each other’s wellbeing. It is so important to talk about these feelings, both positive and negative! Also, try to be positive when you answer all these questions! You will all do amazing things to be helpful, kind or caring, as well as learning new and interesting facts, games, activities, stories and more!
MONDAY
Something positive which has happened during lockdown. You can help to remind each other of something you have done or something which has happened and remember that feeling of how positive it was!
TUESDAY
Something you have achieved; such as a piece of school work, an arts and crafts activity or drawing, a fitness challenge?
WEDNESDAY
What are you looking forward to doing once this current lockdown is finished? A daytrip with family? Going out with friends? Going back to your favourite place?
THURSDAY
Plan a day out! Think about a place which you love going to, whether that’s with friends or family. This can be something to look forward to once lockdown rules and restrictions have eased!
FRIDAY
Have you learnt something this week, whether that is something from school during a lesson, a fact or story from a book, something you have listened to or watched?
SATURDAY
How have you helped somebody recently to make them feel better or feel good about something? Have you been polite or kind? Have you helped your friends or a family member?
