Celebrating 25 Years.
Centrally located on Quadra at Hillside, San Remo Greek Restaurant has been a mainstay in Victoria for 25 years. The authentic Greek origins recaptures the culinary style of Greek cooking, generous hospitality and love of good food. San Remo is newly renovated, and offering a freshened up menu, as well as many old favorites are among the wonderful myriad of tastes and textures including: Enticing new mezedes (tapas) on both lunch and dinner menus include classic kalamari, Greek fries (tossed in lemon, oregano, salt and pepper), dolmathes, saganaki, grilled eggplant with provolone, black tiger prawns, seared beef tenderloin with mushrooms and marsala sauce, semolina crusted pan-seared Fanny Bay oysters with spinach & brandy cream. There’s a dozen different pastas to choose from, as well as classic meals of moussaka, roast lemon chicken, veal parmigiana, and pepper steak. The lamb burger with feta cheese, marinated peppers, tzatziki on a ciabatta bun is popular, as is the wild salmon (prosciutto barded and baled with white wine and herb sauce) and Corfu halibut (pan-fried with olive oil, capers, cracked pepper, white wine and lemon sauce. Finally, there’s a wide selection of pizza–with a Greek twist. And there’s a kids’ menu as well.
