Aska
MAIDEN VOYAGE IN THE AIR
Drive & Fly
Introducing Aska, an aerial mobility vehicle designed for both road and air.
“To build a better society and a better economy, we need better transportation solutions, and flying cars will be a part of that equation,” say Guy and Maki Kaplinsky, the co-founders of NFT Inc, a Silicon Valley innovator with an ambitious vision to reshape the future of transportation.
The team of aerospace and automotive engineers, aerodynamics experts and flight control specialists have been developing their concept for the past three years, and the resulting model – known as Aska – is now available for pre-order with a 2026 delivery date.
Thought to be a world-first, the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicle offers the freedom to travel by road or in the air thanks to its revolutionary hybrid design, enabling people to live in a rural environment and quickly and easily commute to the city centre door-to-door. The four-seater vehicle is the size of a large SUV and can be driven like a regular car or parked in a standard parking bay. To transition to flight mode, it extends its wings and lifts off vertically from a designated vertipad; although pilot training is needed to operate in the air, flying is made simple through semiautonomous technologies.
Aska has a flight range of up to 250 miles powered by electric motors and is equipped with a range extender as a redundant safety system. “We have focused significantly on Aska’s safety elements, which include dual energy sources, large wings, large propellers, and a six-pack of batteries to ensure it is as safe in the air as it is on the ground,” concludes Kaplinsky. “We anticipate that flying cars that are accessible to the general public will be as instrumental in redefining how and where we live as the original automobile was to the foundation of our country’s highway and road systems.”
