THE SEARCH FOR THE BACHUSIKI Over the years, a large group of them has gathered, and everyone who comes to Zielona Góra has certainly heard of them. However, Bachusiki is also worth seeing, so when visiting this city, it is good to prepare a route that will go in search of small rascals. Before the walk, you can go to the tourist information, where we will learn more about the children of Bacchus and we will get a map, thanks to which we will be exactly informed about the places where there are bachuski in Zielona Góra. This attraction will appeal to both the youngest participants and adults. For who will refuse to take pictures of the god of wine with their children? It takes about an hour to see all the figurines and the route is not tiring, so it is recommended to everyone families with children, the elderly and anyone who wants to get to know the bachuski in Zielona Góra and "immerse" a little in the tradition of the city. On the way, you can visit the museum of wine or torture (rather for adults), where you will certainly also be able to take interesting photos.
WHAT ARE BACHUSIKI?
Bacchusiki are children of Bacchus, the Roman god of wine. They are made of bronze and their creator is the famous sculptor - Artur Wochniak. Where does the reference to this idol come from in Zielona Góra? Well, it is in this city that the grape harvest takes place. Every year in September, a great event is organized that brings together wine lovers. They can not only taste wines from various vineyards, but also eat many delicious, regional dishes and have fun with great music. The whole city is celebrated, parades are organized, all in honor of Bacchus.

Why are the bachusikis scattered around the promenade and market square Zielona Góra and its surroundings are vineyards. High-class vineyards reign there. Hence the Bachusiki, children of the god, supposed to refer to the tradition and legend of the city. The latter claims that after the tragic death of Bacchus, Athena decided to sprinkle his blood on the places where the vineyards were to be built. One of the drops fell on Zielona Góra, which is why it became a place of vines cult and Bacchus himself became its patron. His children, on the other hand, can be
found in many places in the city, incl. on the promenade and the market square in Zielona Góra.
The idea to put them there was born in 2010, when revitalization works were taking place in the city. The first bachusik was therefore erected a few years ago (as the Lubuska newspaper wrote about). At that time, however, no one expected that after nine years there would be 43 of them! With the passage of time, however, there will be more and more of them, because the new bachusik can be financed basically by anyone who has the money and an idea for it. All of the bacchusiks have their
name and history that is worth knowing. You can take photos with each of them.
