COUNSELORS
Adam Meredith Hi everyone! My name is Adam, and I am a sophomore at Franklin College. I play football there and am a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. I worked with Sports Camp last year, and I am excited to be back for another year!
Alexis I’m a senior at IU, studying Elementary Education with a concentration in social studies. As a future teacher, I can’t wait to spend my time this summer having fun with kids! I love being outside and meeting new people. A fun fact about me: I used to attend a farming summer camp! I look forward to meeting you and making this summer an exciting and unforgettable experience!
Alyssa Meredith My name’s Alyssa. This is my third year working summer camp. I’m going to be a sophomore in college, and I play college volleyball. My favorite thing about summer camp is to watch all the kids grow, have fun, and build friendships.
Ava Hi! My name is Ava, and I am an incoming freshman. This is my second year as a counselor, and I am super excited to see all of the amazing campers again! A fun fact about me is that I used to go to the YMCA’s summer camp when I was younger, and I am so excited to be a counselor now.
Emma Meredith My name is Emma, and this will be my fourth year working at the Southeast YMCA as a camp counselor. I’m currently an IU student majoring in outdoor recreation, parks, and human ecology. I love working with kids, especially in a camp setting. I always look forward to creating fun memories with the campers. I can’t wait to have an awesome summer of 2021!
Abbi Hi I’m Abbi! I just graduated from Indiana University with a degree in elementary and special education. I will be teaching 3rd grade in the fall! This is my second time working camp at the YMCA and I’m so excited to be back this summer! My hobbies include playing with my two dogs, painting, and spending time with my friends.
Harrison Meredith My name is Harrison! I’ll be a freshman at IU next year studying biology. This is my first year as a camp counselor, and I can’t wait to get to know all of you! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and listening to music. I’m so excited to have a great summer!
Hazel My name is Hazel, and this is my second year as a camp counselor. I absolutely love working with kids and learning all their quirky ways. In my spare time, I like to run, draw, bake, and play board games with my family. Traveling is also a passion of mine, so I go with my friends and family to new places a lot. I cannot wait to be back at camp!
Ian Meredith Hi, I’m Ian, and this is my second year working at Camp Arrowhead at the YMCA. I can’t wait to walk around the trail and play many games with my campers. This will be another great and safe summer! Can’t wait to meet you all!
Kate My name is Kate, and I am so excited to be a camp counselor this year! I loved coming to Y camp as a kid and have so many fun memories! I am a sophomore at Bloomington High School North. In my free time, I enjoy reading, theatre, and hanging out with my friends.
Katie Meredith Hey, I’m Katie, and I’m a sophomore at BHSS. I really enjoy riding horses and hanging out with my friends. I am so excited to be back at the YMCA Camp Arrowhead for another awesome summer!
Keira Hi! My name is Keira and next year I will be a freshman at Butler University. I will be majoring in elementary education, and I’m so excited for my first year working at camp. I can’t wait to meet all of the campers and have a great summer!
Kristen Meredith Hi, I’m Kristen, and I’m a student at IU majoring in elementary education! This will be my fourth summer working camp at the YMCA. I’m so excited to be spending the summer with the kids and getting to know them! My hobbies include reading Harry Potter, playing with my dogs, and running!
Mason My name is Mason, and I’m a sophomore at Bloomington High School South. I have played basketball there for two years, and I enjoy playing at the Y as well. I have worked with younger children before at a basketball summer camp and really enjoyed my time! I enjoy traveling and spending time with my friends and family. I am looking forward to camp this summer.
Megan Meredith Hi, I’m Megan, and this is my fourth year as a counselor for YMCA summer camp! I cannot wait to see everyone’s excited faces again and to have a fun and safe summer this year! It will be great so see some of the regular campers and to meet a whole new bunch. Let’s have another great summer here at the Y!
Meredith My name is Meredith, and this will be my third year as a counselor at the Y! This coming fall, I will be a freshman at Indiana University studying elementary education. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors and hanging out with friends. I am so excited to meet all of you this summer!
Mikhaeli Meredith Hi! My name is Mikhaeli. I am an English major with an education minor at Hillsdale College and will be a junior this fall. I love reading, painting, going on walks with friends, and building forts in the woods with the camp kiddos. I can’t wait to adventure again this summer with everyone at the Y!
Moya Hi! My name is Moya, and this is my third year as a camp counselor. I love working with kids, and on top of camp, I work at the YMCA Zone, and I also babysit. In my free time, I like to draw, cook, and play tennis. I also love to be outdoors in nature, and I go on a lot of hikes with my family and friends. I’m so excited to be back at summer camp!
Parker Meredith Hi! My name is Parker. I’m a sophomore at Bloomington High School North, and I play soccer there. I coach Youth Soccer at the Y for kids ages 5-6. My interests include: basketball and hanging out with friends. I am looking forward to being a part of the Y community, developing leadership skills, and helping young kids develop skills of their own, like: teamwork, leadership, integrity, etc.
Rowan Hi, my name is Rowan! I’m a freshman at IU studying public management. In my free time, I love to swim, watch movies, and play lacrosse. This will be my first summer working at the YMCA, and I’m super stoked for camp!
Sean Meredith My name is Sean, and this will
be my fifth year working camp! I am a rising junior at IUPUI, studying physical education and coaching. Some of my favorite hobbies include soccer: watching, playing, and reffing. I love board games, card games, and listening to music. My favorite camp experiences as a child were playing sports and trying new activities and games. I am looking forward to another amazing summer!
Stephanie Hi! My name is Stephanie, and I just graduated from Bloomington High School North. I plan to attend IU and major in international business and law this upcoming school year. I have been a part of the YMCA since I was two attending preschool. I’m super excited for this year’s camp!
Tiffany Meredith Hi! My name is Tiffany or “Tina,” and I am an environmental sustainability studies major at Indiana University. This year will be my fourth year as a counselor at the Southeast Y! I’m super excited to play fun games, create lots of arts and crafts, and spend time with all of the campers!
McKenzie Hi, I’m McKenzie! This will be my fourth year as a camp counselor. I have done Gymnastics Camp, Sports Camp, Camp Arrowhead. I’ve also worked at the Y at the Welcome Center and as a Wellness Coach! I will be attending IU this fall to study biology and Spanish. Some of my favorite things are gymnastics, my dog, and traveling!
Alex Meredith Hi, I’m Alex! I am currently a student at Franklin College studying applied mathematics with intentions to be a secondary school teacher in the future. I played football at Franklin College for 4 years, and I was involved as a student coach. I love being at camp, and I’m so excited for this summer!
Sophie I’m Sophie! I’m a junior at IU majoring in social work. I recently moved to Bloomington with my middle school sweetheart/ spouse Zach. We have a dog named Penny, who I am obsessed with. This is my third summer working for a YMCA, and I’m stoked. It combines three of my passions: being outside, wearing sunscreen, and drinking lots of water!
Jenna Meredith I’m Jenna, a music educator in
Bloomington and Indianapolis. I recently graduated from IU with degrees in music education and voice performance. I am the founder of Da Capo, a peer mentor organization for first-year IU music students, and I have worked with Kids With Absent Parents, Classical Connections, and Reimagining Opera for Kids to provide musical services for Bloomington youth.
Carly Hello! My name is Carly! I’m a senior at Ball State University, and my major is special education. I enjoy watching movies, doing crafts, and hanging out with friends! This will be my third summer being a counselor at the Y Summer Camp, and I am so excited to have lots of fun with all the camp kiddos!
Dylan Meredith Hi! I’m Dylan, and this is my first year working as a camp counselor at the Y. I had a lot of fun working with kids as a volunteer at camp last year. When I’m not at the Y, I am usually either reading, playing tennis, or going outside. I go on bike rides around town, and I also like hiking. I’m ready to come back to camp this summer, and I’m sure I’ll have even more fun than last year!
Lillian I’m Lillian (Lilly)! I’m a graduate of Bloomington High School South and an incoming freshman at Butler University. I am 18 years old, and I enjoy running, playing piano, and camping with my family.
