Korean Culture Club The Korean Culture Club aims to educate and immerse Montevallo students in the customs, language and ideas of South Korea. We will focus on food and popular culture in order to emphasize the idea that North American life is not supremely different from North Korea’s. We want Montevallo to learn that Korea is not significant just because of a war. Minority Student Union The Minority Student Union (MSU) is an organization open to all minority students whether they are AfricanAmerican or Hispanic, Jewish or Muslim, or a member of the LGBTQ community. The organization serves as a communication link between the underrepresented populations on our campus and University administrators. The MSU coordinates programs that educate, empower and inspire the campus community.

National Association for Multicultural Education National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) was founded to bring together individuals from all academic levels, disciplines and all types of education institutions to promote diversity and intercultural understanding. It also includes members from other organizations, occupations and communities who have an interest in multicultural education. NAME is committed to a philosophy of inclusion that embraces the basic tenets of democracy and cultural pluralism. National Pan-Hellenic Council The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the governing body for the historically African-American Greek-letter organizations represented on campus. The council coordinates programs and activities for the member chapters and is comprised of delegates from each of the organizations. The purpose is to maintain high positive standards for its member organizations and to ensure the perpetuation of the responsibility and privilege of engaging in appropriate service to the African-American community at UM as well as in the larger community. Spectrum The purpose of Spectrum is to provide programs and services to address the unique needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) community of the University of Montevallo and to increase the awareness and understanding of issues pertinent to our members and the college community as a whole.
