HOUSING & RESIDENCE LIFE
The University of Montevallo’s residence halls offer students an opportunity to share a spirit of community, enriching their collegiate experience. • Being a part of a community of scholars is exciting. • Living with others who share your interests and experiences is fun! All freshmen under the age of nineteen are required to live on campus unless they are married or living with parents or guardian. In addition, in order to be eligible to live on campus, you must be a high school graduate and be enrolled for at least six hours of classes per term (three hours per summer term). Research shows that living on campus during the freshman year is a very positive factor in a student’s success, and at Montevallo, helping all students succeed is a priority.
The room assignment is for the Fall and Spring terms (unless you move in at the beginning of spring term). When you check in, you will be required to sign the 9-month Housing Agreement.

All halls are equipped with electronic access on their exterior doors. Residents must use their UM ID Card to gain access.
