Young Musicians’ Camp Young musicians ages 12-18 will have the unique opportunity to enjoy a rewarding musical experience on the campus of the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, AL. All students follow a daily schedule with instruction by professional artist faculty from the University of Montevallo’s Department of Music. Our mission is to provide students with superior musical instruction through a variety of ensemble, classroom, individual, and performance opportunities geared towards enhancing overall musicianship skills.

First Rate Instruction Students will participate in choral, instrumental, or piano ensemble rehearsals, master classes, as well as instruction in guitar, vocal or instrumental techniques, theory, ear training, and literature. Individual private instruction is also available in guitar, voice, piano, and instruments for an additional fee.

Campus Activities In addition to gaining valuable musicianship skills, students will also participate in non-musical evening activities (field night, pizza night, movie night) and evening concerts. Each day will begin with daily announcements and seminars ranging from audition preparation to careers in music.

Artist Faculty Our faculty are not only music educators, but are actively premiering original compositions, singing, playing, and conducting nationally and internationally. Students will have the opportunity to learn from some of the most dedicated and talented musicians in the United States.
