College Nig ht College Nig ht is the most honored and beloved tradition at UM. As part of the annual Homecoming traditions, students declare allegiance to either Gold or Pu rple (UM’s school colors), and compete in athletic events, spirit competitions, and prepare original mu sical productions.

Everything mu st be created by cu rrent students: scripts, mu sic, lyric s, costu mes, choreography, sets, and direction. The camaraderie necessary to produce a magnificent piece of art with limited time and limited resou rces bu ilds strong friendships. Students develop production and time management skills that challenge them in a way the classroom experience cannot match.
