OPENING SESSION 9:00 A.M. Thought Diversity - How to be Resilient and Mentally Tough with a Stone-Aged Brain Presenter: Kevin Stacey, CEO & Founder, TrainRight, Inc. Room: MPAC Theatre The outdated parts of our brain that used to keep us safe from physical threats have caused us to have an inherent negativity bias and can easily drive us nuts. Shockingly, studies show that 77% of what the average person thinks about is negative or counter-productive. Negative thinking is a tremendous cost to both individuals and organizations since all success or failure is based on mental principals. If left unchecked, this ‘internal fake news’ results in an overestimation of threats and an underestimation of opportunities, preventing us from reaching the level of success and achievement that we’re capable of, in addition to keeping us anxious and on edge. Participants will learn how to put into action the old saying, “the mind makes a wonderful servant but a terrible master” to meet their goals and have the levels of peace of mind they deserve. The session is scientific-based information that gives participants a step-by-step process for tapping into the power of their minds to program themselves for success and peak performance by creating change from the inside-out.
