Wetumpka’s calendar is packed with diverse events that feature fun for the entire family.

2023 Special Events

WETUMPKA’S RIVER AND BLUES MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL

The River and Blues Music Festival will be in July of 2023. This festival has more than 10,000 attendees and offers fee family entertainment in a relaxing, friendly environment. Located on the banks of the Coosa River, live bands play blues and zydeco on stages for all ages to enjoy. A free children’s area, art show and other surprises will be part of the festival.

OKTOBERTEST WETUMPKA

It’s a two-day event in October. Don you dirndl’s and lederhosen, because Wetumpka rings in the harvest with a lot of fun, food and spirit.

DOWNTOWN DICKENS CHRISTMAS

If you haven’t attend this event you are missing out. Watch as Wetumpka transforms into Christmas of old. It is a magical event and features the city tree lighting along with caroling and nativity. This event will be the first riday and Saturday in December.

CHRISTMAS ON THE COOSA

Named as a Top 10 event in 2013 by the Alabama Tourism Vacation Guide, this local community tradition continues to grow every year. It includes a character breakfast, arts & crafts show, car show, street parade and ends in a boat parade with a skiing Santa and fieworks. This event will be the second Saturday in December.
