G LIVE. WORK. PLAY.
Looking Forward
Today, the area retains the best of its early features and natural resources, while aggressively pursuing economic development opportunities. Millbrook has experienced a more than 40 percent increase in its population in the last 20 years, and this influx of nw residents has spurred unprecedented residential building, which in turn has attracted new commercial development that keeps gaining momentum.
The great outdoors plays a prominent role in Millbrook’s quality of life, with six well-equipped and maintained public parks that provide recreational options for all ages. A new mega sports complex, called 17 Springs, is currently under development that will transform the Highway 14 corridor and position the city as a regional draw and destination point. Other outdoor activities can be enjoyed at nearby Lakes Martin and Jordan, the Alabama River, the Alabama Nature Center and the Grandview YMCA. The City will continue to capitalize on these recreational opportunities.
