WEATHER POSTPONES CULTURAL GROUP 50th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION Winter Storm Jonas had no sympathy for our anniversary and the festive celebration we had planned. Beginning on Friday, January 22 and lasting into the late hours of the 23, snow continued to fall across our area. By Thursday morning the 21, our President Janet Malofiy made the difficult decision to reschedule our planned event and ensure the safety of our members and friends and the success of our event. Boy, was it a great decision to reschedule! The event will now be held on Sunday, February, 28 in the afternoon and more information will be released prior to the event about any changes. 2nd place by 4 points. With 6 games left, they will look to go unbeaten to give them the best chance at winning the league. The spring season looks to kick off March 13 at West Chester United. It will be a tough string of matches this spring, having to play Danubia, Ukrainians and VE away, while hosting Phoenix and West Chester. There is also the US National Donauschwaben Tournament to look forward to for the German Hungarians. This year's tournament will be held in Chicago and after a strong showing in Mansfield last year, U.G.H. will look to put together another good team ready to perform. Robbie Stewart

Brian Noel, son of Michael and Kathi Noel, became engaged to Daniella DiLacqua on July 3 with their wedding scheduled for November of this year. Later in July, Brian turned 30 and celebrated his birthday with family and friends. Brian will graduate from New York Law School in May of this year and will begin employment with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office as an Assistant District Attorney in September.
