Parents, friends, and art enthusiasts were invited to walk the main corridor at Montini Catholic High School in February to enjoy the work of the school's many gifted art students at the annual Art Show. One gifted senior, Alison Meifert, was selected by art teacher, Wanda Drabik, to showcase her work as the show's featured artist. "I've loved art for as long as I can remember," says Alison, whose favorite mediums are encaustic (hot wax painting) and ceramics. "My favorite thing about art is taking the mistakes you make and being able to create something beautiful out of them. ese "mistakes" are what make art interesting." Alison is looking forward to attending Utah State University in the fall where she will be majoring in Art, Education, and Marketing with a minor in French.

We are

Family by :Gabby Rossi ‘18 Walking through the halls at Montini, inspiration is everywhere. It may come from an administrator, teacher, another student, or even the posters on the walls. Montini supports all students and tends to a variety of passions. It provides its students with the best coaches and intellectuals to share their knowledge and expertise. I have been a figure skater all of my life and wanted to continue throughout high school, but I saw no way. I voiced my thoughts about starting a team at Montini to Principal O’Neill, and she was all for it. With her help, the help of my teachers, and the support from my friends, we were able to create a figure skating team, and we won the gold medal at the High School Nationals Figure Skating Competition in April!

To an outsider, Montini Catholic is just another building. But, it is the people & attitudes inside, which make it a family, filled with endless amounts of inspiration & encouragement.

“I believe that it is the responsibility of all faculty and staff members to challenge and inspire our students. We should be encouraging our students to be creative, to voice their opinions and the opinions of those who are not confident enough to speak for themselves.” said Principal O’Neill. “We need to inspire students to want to achieve, to want to try something different and to want to make changes. en we need to help them achieve their goal.” is attitude is what makes Montini a family. It is not just a school. It is a family that has one purpose: to help each other prosper, not only during their four years at Montini, but also for the rest of their lives.
