Alumni Inducted Into Hall of Fame
It was a memorable night for two Montini Catholic alumni members and their families as they were honored for their dedication, achievement and service and inducted into the Montini Catholic Alumni Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony and dinner were held on Friday, September 6th. Inducted this year were: Peter Cappetta '07 - Inducted for his exceptional athletic achievements in baseball throughout his Montini Bronco career and at the University of Illinois. He is currently working for Walton Street Capital - Private Equity Real Estate Firm, in Portfolio Management overseeing fund performance. Glenn Shimkus '88 - Inducted for his exceptional and positive impact through leadership in the business, professional and civic community. Glenn is a technology enthusiast and entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience building world-class teams and delivering exceptional products. Currently, Glenn is the Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at the National Association of REALTORSÂŽ, the largest trade association in the United States.

Senior Awarded Bumber Locker This year's receipint of 'Bumber's Corner Locker' is senior (OL/DL) Patrick Peters '20. "Patrick has emerged as a quiet leader, and a guy that all of the younger players in the program can look up to both on the field and off the field," said Head Coach Mike Bukovsky, who, along with Montini's Varsity Football
staff, selected him for the honor. "He truly embodies the traits that Brad Bumber '89 showed during his time in the Bronco Football Program, a strong work ethic, a humble demeanor, and a tough physical presence. Class of 2023 Receives Awards Eighteen (18) students from the Class of 2023 are recipients of Montini Catholic's Freshman Placement Exam Scholarships which are offered to incoming freshmen excelling on the Freshman Placement Exam. "All prospective students are encouraged to take the exam," informs Admissions Representative, Jennifer Long Kavanagh '97. "This year's exam, for the Class of 2024 will be on December 7th!"
Legacy students receiving awards include: Jamie Bukovsky, daughter of Jeff '88 and Kim (Gary) Bukovsky '88, Sam Ruddy, son of Brian Ruddy '88 and Joseph Spaccapaniccia, son of John Spaccapaniccia '89.

Lady Broncos Volley for a Cure Maureen Barry '87 Leads the Volley Maureen Barry '87, mom to outside hitter Nora Sypkens '21, chaired the Lady Broncos Annual Volley for a Cure game and fundraiser. Bronco families and friends have earned close to $8,500 for breast cancer research in the last four years by dedicating one game per season to this most worthwhile cause.
