5
Europe’s Biggest Indoor Sand and Water Play
Once a month we offer a session for SEN children and their families to enjoy The Ice Cream Farm just for them. We take extra measures to make the experience suitable for our young visitors – like turning the hand dryers and music off – and provide ear defenders on request.
We don’t like to brag, but our indoor sand and water play area, Honeycomb Canyon, just happens to be the biggest in Europe. Children have so much fun at this interactive activity that they don’t even realise they’re learning whilst exploring the watery play. Wellies and splash suits recommended in the cooler months and swimmers when it’s warmer.
6
A Safe Environment
Providing a safe environment for our visitors is extremely important to us and we go above and beyond in this. In fact, our indoor soft play The Fun Factory was recently awarded the Gold standard after being inspected by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Play Quality team.
7
A Place to Party
The Ice Cream Farm offers two party packages: Ice Explorers for younger children and The Loft Takeover for over 7’s. With exceptional value, we’ve designed our parties to include everything you need to celebrate your child’s birthday with their friends.
8
Play Whatever the Weather
From the trampolines in Daisy’s Garden to the ball pit in The Fun Factory, the thrills of Rocky Road to the balance beams of Honeycomb Canyon; at The Ice Cream Farm there’s a place to play indoors and outdoors come rain or shine.
9
A Treat to Take Home
At The Impulse Emporium our team has selected gifts that are perfect for a treat. There’s a wide collection of books to peruse, a vast selection of soft toys thanks to our very own TY House, and pocket money spends under 5. Plus we have tubs of Cheshire Farm Ice Cream to take home too.
10
Your Local Business
The Ice Cream Farm has been drawing visitors for more than 35 years. And we are proud to support Cheshire families not just as a play experience for kids, but also as a local employer. We often have jobs listed on our website and encourage local sixth formers and university students to apply for our seasonal vacancies. A free ice cream on every shift is just one of the many perks of working with us.
Have you heard of Sticky Paws in the Flavour Forest? From the team at The Ice Cream Farm is our family dining concept in Northwich: Sticky Paws in the Flavour Forest. With a free indoor play area and menu designed to make eating out with kids easy, Sticky Paws is the place to go for fun and food that the whole family will love. The experience starts from the moment you arrive when you’re given an iPad to make ordering seamless and exciting. Kids can then explore the Flavour Forest with its slide, rope bridges and dens, working up an appetite for their tasty iTi BiTi dishes. Squash and hot drinks are unlimited, and for an after-meal treat there’s a selection of Cheshire Farm Ice Cream of course. Education News Grange School Residential trip to Delamere
Abbey Gate College leads and encourages children to fulfil their potential in every aspect of their lives
It was with great excitement that the Year 3 children at The Grange School in Hartford headed off for a residential trip to Fox Howl in the beautiful Delamere Forest. Whilst exploring the forest the children waded through brooks, clambered up hills and scrambled down gullies – a few wellies went astray but this only led to more laughter! Mrs Pidcock who is the school’s Head of Outdoor Learning said, “During their stay at Fox Howl the children showed their ability to work as a team and participated with great enthusiasm. For the majority, this was their first overnight stay away from home and they coped well, relishing their time in the forest.” W: www.grange.org.uk
Abbey Gate College is an independent school for pupils aged 4-18 years, located in the historic Saighton Grange and Aldford Village, surrounded by beautiful grounds and modern facilities. The College is a unique, inspiring and memorable place to learn and grow, where the caring and committed teaching and support staff will do all that they can to help your child fulfil their potential. The College is a safe and friendly school community, where they work with each child’s individual interests, passions and strengths; while also encouraging them to try new things, take risks and be creative. The aim of the College is to lead and coach each child during these critical, formative years, so that they may achieve the best they can academically with a clear sense of self and how they can go on to make a positive difference to our world in the future – with courage and with compassion. Top-performing girls’ school in
Cheshire nurtures happy learners Proud to be the top-performing girls’ school in Cheshire, The Queen’s School in Chester is about much more than results. Go along and see for yourself why so many families fall in love with Queen’s the minute they walk through the door. Their calm and caring environment nurtures happy learners with a thirst for knowledge and the freedom and confidence to take risks and make decisions. Being a smaller school dedicated to the education of girls, pupils are offered a level of pastoral and academic support that is second to none. ‘I chose to send my daughter to Queen’s because as soon as you enter the doors, it’s so inviting… but for us, it was the girls themselves. We wanted our daughter to be part of an environment where she could flourish with confidence, independence and ultimately be the best she could be.’ Year 3 parent.
