Single family country club residential real estate numbers for sales in 2015 are reasonably flat in many of the communities and many have seen additional price reductions with the final sale prices. Pinewild CC experienced a 19% increase in units sold and a 15% in volume and continues to lead the gated community in single family sales. This review does not include patio or townhomes which were a factor in areas such as Longleaf, Mid South and National, which is currently opening a new townhome development.

Several Clubs have restructured or changed the cost of the membership fees to make them more attractive, most do not require memberships at all to purchase property and some have new membership opportunities available – such as National, which is now Pinehurst #9 and allows those members access to Pinehurst CC Courses #1-9.

Mortgage rates are still excellent and we see a larger number of homes financed with VA loans, reinforcing the connection to the military buyer – whether active duty or veteran.
