Luxury Market Overview The last 12 months showed positive gains for the Moore County luxury market. Our multiple listing reports indicate that the number of luxury properties sold in the last 12 months increased by 26% compared to the previous 12 months. Sales volume increased by 11%. The market above $500,000 represents homes that are in very desirable locations - country club communities, horse farms, historic properties and waterfront homes. We have a very diverse selection in Moore County that appeals to many who want to make North Carolina their home and enjoy the wonderful climate, the unique villages and the recreational amenities we offer. Members of our Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Pinehurst Realty Group Luxury Specialists Team report that we have a large segment of buyers and sellers who are Baby Boomers and many who are in the early retirement phase of their lives. Some empty nesters are looking to move to smarter living spaces. Because of these elements, during the last 12 months, we have grown our market share in residential luxury homes sold by 223% in units and 222% in the dollar volume of the properties we have sold. This increase resulted in a market share of 17% of the total units sold and 18.68% of the volume sold - the highest achievement of all firms in our multiple listing service.
