Multi-award winning Devonshire singersongwriter and musician Jim Causley was asked to write a special song for the occasion which he premiered to great acclaim on the village green.

Stone Lane Call for entries for the Stone Lane Gardens Sculpture ExhibitionApplications are invited from emerging/early career sculptors based in or connected to the South West of England. Organised by Stone Lane Gardens Charitable Trust, submissions are free and open to all. Closing date is March 31 at noon. Please submit photographs of your work or details of proposed work including dimensions and weight if possible. The theme this year is ‘connectivity’ - connectivity may be interpreted in terms of materials, form, growth, and especially potential energy. It can apply to the body (internal to external); to place; to others; or, paradoxically, between materiality and the void. Connectivity implies affinity, openness, both being receptive to, and actively seeking, relatedness. Our 2022 selectors are ceramicist Sandy Brown, arts author and academic Penny Florence

and Stone Lane trustee Sandy Lipo. A £1,000 Ashburner prize, supported by Caradon Granite, will be awarded for the sculpture that best represents the theme
