CCIE and CCDE Certification
CCIE Assessor Labs
CCIE certification sessions include technical seminars and breakouts in routing and switching, security, voice storage, and service provider. They will also include 2-hour Technical Breakout Sessions, featuring specialized information on the new CCDE and CCIE Wireless certifications. You will receive valuable insight into the lab environment, technologies tested, troubleshooting approaches, and testing techniques directly from CCIE proctors. Topics discussed in the technical seminars and breakouts are relevant to what the prospective CCIE and CCDE candidates will experience the written and lab examinations.

Attendees work through a challenging lab guide that covers topics including an actual CCIE Routing and Switching lab exam. Each user is provided with access to live equipment in a Web based integrated user environment and will be able to gauge testing performance with an online assessment engine that provides point-by-point feedback as well as insight into the question objectives. These labs are designed for anyone earning a CCIE Routing and Switching certification. There are no special requirements or prerequisites necessary in order to participate.

Service Provider Program Service Provider Program Sessions
The Service Provider Program puts the spotlight on topics that are top of mind for members of service provider organizations. With the challenges of continuous network innovation and rapidly evolving user expectations, knowledge is one of the most powerful assets available to today’s service providers. The Service Provider Program is designed to provide attendees with the technical and business education they need to manage diverse networks and deliver the compelling user experiences that drive revenue. Technical topics designed specifically for service providers include how to build and manage the application, service, and network layers of your infrastructure and provide the voice, video, and data experiences that today’s end users demand. Sessions cover topics such as mobile and fixed access areas (including Wi-Fi mesh, WiMAX, DOCSIS, metro optical, and pseudowires), distribution and core transport, and routing technologies. You can also explore in detail topics such as application optimization in the transport for voice and video.
Community General Session Transforming the Video Experience with Medianet Technology Michael Koons, Vice President, Systems Engineering, Cisco Wednesday, July 1, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. The service provider industry is undergoing profound transformation, promoting the need for “medianet” technology. Medianet refers to intelligent media IP networks that are optimized for endto-end rich media delivery, from the starting point all the way to customer screens, unleashing transformation of the video experience. Medianet will give consumers the ability to interact with video services from mobile devices, PCs, and TVs. This luncheon is a great opportunity to learn how to use video to monetize your investment in the broadband infrastructure. Attendance will be on a first come, first served basis.
Managers and directors will also benefit from strategic business educational offerings that discuss the specific challenges and opportunities facing service providers — as well as all of IT and communications. In addition to these service providerfocused offerings, you’ll have the option to dive deeper into other aspects of Cisco technologies via the wide range of sessions offered across all Cisco Live program offerings. Sample sessions:
• Understanding the Benefits of Ethernet OAM • Building Carrier Ethernet Services using Cisco EVC Framework • IPTV and Interactive Services from a Set-Top Box Perspective • Installing and Configuring Content Delivery Systems • Advanced Video Compression Standards: MPEG-4 AVC, SVC and MVC • Introduction to Service Provider Video Service Technologies, Architectures, and Standards Click here to review more sample sessions and descriptions

At Cisco, we use our own solutions to help us connect and share information in new ways—ways that make smarter use of fiscal and natural resources. In other words, sustainability is just second nature to our way of doing business. But our commitment to being good stewards of the environment extends beyond our solutions. We also work hard on minimizing our environmental impact in the way we plan and run Cisco Live. That’s why you’ll see recycling bins throughout the conference venue. That’s why you’ll see fewer conference materials on paper and more online. That’s why you’ll see shuttle buses that use clean diesel technology. We’ve learned that you don’t need to make a big impact on your environment to make a big impact on your world.

The B-52s Looking back at this band’s pioneering fusions of punk, new wave, and vintage rock, it would be tough to imagine the contemporary musical landscape existing without having encountered the intersected spirits of Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider, Keith Strickland, and Cindy Wilson. With hits spanning decades including “Rock Lobster,” “Love Shack,” “Dance This Mess Around,” and “Roam,” the B-52s are one of THE best party bands in history.
...featuring a San Francisco favorite, Notorious PHOTO BY JAY SPENCER
Headline Entertainment You’ll also have the chance to whip it good with Devo — the band that pioneered geek chic. Finally, we round out this totally tubular line up with the ultimate party band, the B-52s!
Devo By the process of natural selection, the members of this band met and shared the habits of making electronic noise, watching TV, and watching everybody else. They called what they saw around them the DE-EVOLUTION and called their music DEVO. Their many hits include “Girl U Want,” “Beautiful World,” “Working in the Coal Mine,” and the classic “Whip It!”
