Holiday Window for The window I illustrated was done using 3/4 scale. The goal in mind was to use J.Crew’s current fall/winter ‘14 collec/on of winter accessories to be donated to men, women, and children in need. I decided not to paint the walls to save on cost and let the merchandise stand out. I stuck with a dark charcoal grey which is what I have seen in most J.Crew windows recently. There are two staggered ar/ficial Christmas trees near the back of the display. These are wrapped in scarves that act as garland. Both the trees and the scarves will be donated. Instead of a stars at the top of the trees, a brightly colored hat will be used to top the tree. This is also included in the dona/on. In front of the trees is a thin but study wire that a variety of winter accessories will hang from. (the project handout said no overhead hanging space, but it did not list any restric/ons from wall to wall). All the accessories shown will be donated to people in need. Lastly, the floor of the display will be covered in fluffy coNon, that will act as snow. The coNon flooring will also be donated and can be used to stuff blankets, pillows, etc. The lower front and center part of the window will have vinyl leNering of J.Crew’s font spelling out the stores name.
