Leah Marie, There’s not enough room to capture everything we feel as you take these last steps at HHS and commence the next steps in your life. The blessings of being your parents are countless, and it has been a true pleasure to observe and participate as you’ve grown from our spirited little redhead into a beautiful, mature young woman. We’ve watched as you’ve struggled and grown through difficult challenges, and we’ve come to appreciate the foundation of faith that you have, as you’ve seen that God’s richest blessings will overflow abundantly when we put our full trust in Him. May God guide your paths as you begin this journey of life away from our home where we’ve spent so much wonderful time together. Dad and Mom

The final year of school for the Class of 2015
Senior year for the class of 2015 began on Sept. 2, 2014. The class now numbered 15. Once again the football and volleyball teams helped package food for the Feed My Starving Children program before launching into their busy seasons. Homecoming week was in mid-September. Candidates for queen were Leah Steiner, tiera Bedel, Gabbi Nienhaus, Steph Milander and Kamie Feuchtenberger. King candidates were Anthony Koehl, Will Osterman, Philip Schaefer, Brendan Jensen and Brandon Shaw. Leah and Anthony were crowned queen and king. The week was filled with fun activities, dress up days, a parade and humorous skits at the pep fest and coronation. The Hancock Record captured some of the class members in their favorite Disney costumes on costume day. Some of the girls participated in the dance team and performed at half-time of the football game. BPA members presented a special program for all students asking them to make a commitment to not text and drive. Some of the class members were involved in several fundraisers during the year for a trip to Washington D.C. and New York City which they did in March of 2015.
Brenden Jensen and Will Osterman were part of the cast and crew with the fall theatre production of That is not how I remember it. Kamie and Leah sat on Santa’s knee when he visited Hancock in December. The two were helping the BPA serve hot chocolate and hot apple cider for the people visiting with him. The BPA held a food drive again in December for the Stevens County Food Shelf. Justin Peterson, Michael Johns, Brandon Shaw, Philip Schaefer, Anthony Koehl and Steph Milander helped load the huge amount of food collected and delivered it to the county. Gabbi Nienhaus was a member of the case of the one act play called The School Spirit. The play tied for second place in competition. T h e H a n c o c k k i n d e rgarten and first grade classes celebrated the big game in February by having football centers. The Hancock senior football players and parents of the students helped out at each center. Justin Miller and Leah Steiner were named the AAA winners from the Hancock school. This award recognizes student achievement in Arts, Academics and Athletics. Several fun activities were
held at the school in February during Snow Week and FFA week. One of the events was Ag Olympics with events such as Lasso toss, bubble blowing, barrel racing and smashing whipped cream pies. Steph Milander, Logan Kisgen, Justin Miller, Brendan Jensen and Will Osterman participated in BPA competition with Steph earning a trip to the National Convention in California in May. She was also named a state BPA member of the month. This award is to recognize outstanding members for their accomplishments in their school, community and within the organization. The long anticipated trip to Washington D.C. and New York City arrived in April. Gabbi Nienhaus was one of the representatives from the school to place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Prom was held on April 25 with a ‘Hollywood’ theme. This was followed by Baccalaureate, Award’s Program, final concerts, senior trip and graduation on May 15, 2015. The elementary and high school journey has come to an end but the future will hold a vast number of possibilities for the Hancock High School Class of 2015.
