FFA Mission Statement: FFA is a youth organization designed to develop leadership and agriscience skills. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.

Year’s Mission

The FFA Creed I believe in the future of Agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds -- achievements won by present and past generations of agriculturists; in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better things we now enjoy have come to us through the struggles of former years. I believe that to live and work on a good farm, or to be engaged in other agricultural pursuits, is pleasant as well as challenging; for I know the joys and discomforts of agricultural life and hold an inborn fondness for these associations which, even in hours of discouragement, I cannot deny. I believe in leadership from ourselves and respect from others. I believe in my own ability to work efficiently and think clearly, with such knowledge and skill as I can secure, and in the ability of progressive agriculturists to serve our own and the public interest in producing and marketing the product of our toil. I believe in less dependence on begging and more power in bargaining; in the life abundant and enough honest wealth to make it so—for others as well as myself; in less need for charity and more of it when needed; in being happy myself and playing square with those whose happiness depends upon me. I believe that American agriculture can and will hold true to the best traditions of our national life and that I can exert an influence in my home and community that will stand solid for my part in that inspiring task.

Hello, I am Brady Wulf, the Morris Area FFA’s President. This week is National FFA week. This week gives us as members a time to reflect on the FFA organization and thank all the people who continue to support it. So I would like to start off by thanking everyone who has helped the FFA in some way, if it would be a donation of money or help coaching a CDE team, your support is GREATLY appreciated. We as members have been very busy this year, practicing for our Career Development Events (CDE), filling out State Degree and Proficiency applications, and putting on our annual Urban Ag in the Classroom. The FFA focuses on three key components premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. Throughout my FFA career I have had the opportunity to focus on all three components. I

Brady Wulf

have been a chapter officer for three years and a region officer for two. These experiences have helped me build my leadership abilities and I am always continuing to further my personal leadership abilities. Through FFA I have grown so much as a person. For example, I could never speak in front of my own class and now I conduct workshops and run meetings. Lastly, the FFA has helped me learn more about my future career opportunities and options and taught me

valuable lessons to use on the farm. Through my Agriculture Education experience, my advisor introduced me to a job and my Livestock Judging CDE helps me make decisions and production choices while working with our cattle herd. The FFA is a phenomenal student organization that helps students grow as a person, prepare them for careers and build character. None of this would be possible without a supportive community and a great set of advisors who help us reach our goals. Mr. Milbrandt and Mrs. Mortenson do so much for our state, region, and chapter FFA and are a positive influence and leaders to every member. I would like to thank them for everything they do and once again thank our great community for their generous support.

Veterans Day

Wente elected to office at state convention

Sweet corn booth Our FFA chapter along with the BPA, FCCLA, and Student Council sold sweet corn in a booth at the Stevens County Fair this year, each organization selling a different day to hungry fairgoers. The booth was a success, thank you to all who supported us!

This year, Morris FFA and Student Council held the third consecutive Veterans Day program to honor those who served for our country. We had about 75 of our veterans attend. It was a very fun and memorable event that allowed us to thank those who served our country. Thank you veterans!

Brooke Wente with the Morris Area FFA advisors Nick Milbrandt and Natasha Mortenson after she got elected as a State Officer at the Minnesota State FFA Convention. Brooke will lead our State FFA Organization to offer more opportunities to members, inspire young members, and she will have the opportunity to network with agribusiness and travel.

Adopt-A-Family The Ag Leadership students adopted a family of six this holiday season. They purchased gifts for the to brighten their holiday. Community serve is a large part of the Agriculture and FFA program at Morris Area High School.

We salute our FFA members who promote premier leadership, personal growth and career success.

We wish you all the success in the world! Stevens County FFA Alumni
