THE ARAI DIFFERENCE Arai helmets have been at the forefront of Motorsport for many years, protecting world champions all around the globe at the highest level. Arai have a hand-built motorsport helmet available for every discipline from bambino kart to F1. Chosen by champions Sebastian Vettel [F1], Colin Turkington [BTCC], Gordon Shedden [BTCC & WTC], Abbie Eaton [Test Driver for the Grand Tour] and Tom Ingram [BTCC]. The brand new GP-7 SRC FIA 8860-2018 is the helmet of choice for champions such as Sebastian Vettal, Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon and Oliver Turvey. The GP-7 SRC represents the pinnacle of Arai’s craftsmanship, this carbon FIA 8860-2018 accredited helmet takes our team of craftsmen nearly three weeks to hand build. Complete with adjustable and removable cheek pads and an included FHR [Forward Head Restraint] and PED [Performance Enhancing Devise] kit in the box as standard. For the kart racers, Arai have the CMR CK-6 and SK-6, both come with removable adjustable cheek pads enabling a customised fit for all head sizes. For Rallying and closed cockpit racing the Arai GP-J3 and adaptable GP-5W offer wider apertures and removable sun visor peaks. The GP-5W can be retro fitted with a visor for use in open cockpit racing, both have removable interchangeable thickness cheek pads available. The GP-6S is Arai’s most popular motorsport helmet with track day enthusiasts through to World Champions. The full-face helmet is one of the lightest, durable and strongest helmets available whilst maintaining comfort, excellent ventilation and exceptional safety. The GP-6S meets both FIA 8859-2015 and SNELL SA2015 approvals.

WHY ARAI? 7-year warranty – from the manufacture date All Arai helmets are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, and are serviceable only for the properly fitted first user for 5 years from date of first use, but no more than 7 years from date of manufacture. Handmade by dedicated craftsmen – on average, it takes 18-man hours to build one Arai helmet Each Arai helmet is made by hand. But from the bare outer shell to the finished helmet, including the advanced design applications, the hands of skilled craftsmen perform everything. 5 times inspected – rigorously tested at each stage of production From the shell moulding to the paint area, from shell inspection to the final inspection, each time a craftsman works on a helmet he inspects it in detail to ensure that the customer gets a perfect finished product. In every Arai shell you will find the signature of the man who made it. No racer-only helmets – buy the same helmets as worn by professionals It is important to understand that whether at the very top in F1 or just starting out in karts (and all points in between) Arai do not make custom ‘racing helmets’ for drivers. The new GP-7 SRC is an absolute masterpiece of Arai engineering, performance and comfort. It conforms to the new FIA standard 8860-2018, which is intended to be the safest in the world for top-end helmets used in motorsport. The key to the GP-7 SRC’s fundamental strength is its shell, which is built around a proprietary Carbon Fibre (CF) weave that combines CF’s existing benefits of high strength and extreme light weight with a major added benefit that standard CF does

For open cockpit racing the GP-7 SRC APB offers Advanced Ballistic Protection with a specification built around development of a unique advanced ballistic test, based on military specifications. Protection is provided against projectiles weighing up to 225 grams and travelling at 250kp/h.

The GP-5W features an adjustable ‘Hyper T’ peak with integrated sun visor to satisfy the requirements of even the mostt demanding touring car drivers. Yellow Kevlar® chin strap, fire resistant Nomex® lining material, five ventilation ducts and interchangeable multi-thickness cheek pads are just some of the benefits of this helmet.
