MICK EXTANCE : ADVENTURE-X

ADVENTURE-X JACKET & JEAN - Mick Extance, Dakar legend and friend of RST, specifically selected the RST Adventure-X textile jacket and jean to protect him against the elements as he raced the 2020 DAKAR RALLY in Saudi Arabia. The kit was put through its paces over the 4900 MILES (7900KM) of the Dakar.

KENNY FORAY : V4.1 1PC AIRBAG SUIT

V4.1 AIRBAG SUIT - Kenny Foray (FSBK) was testing the RST V4.1 Airbag Suit when he high sided at the Misano Moto-E in September 2019. At a crash speed of 93 KM/HR and 27.5 G, the suit did its job: the airbag deployed in 22 milliseconds and the armour offered superior protection. Kenny walked away from the incident, bruised, but overall injury free.

This suit is just Next Level. Cut slightly less aggressively than the V4.1, the Pro Series Airbag suit is fully CE Certified to Level AAA and is an ideal choice for track days. Made from super supple premium cowhide leather, the suit is reinforced with seam free, four-way woven stretch motion panels which stretches from the side of the body to the arms and across the chest, knees, elbows, rear back, inner calf and thigh. This enhances the body length and offers superior levels of comfort and movement on and off the bike and importantly aid the deployment of the airbag if it goes off. Additionally, the double layer leather on the seat also features a stitched in coccyx protector and the inner section of the knee features rubberised DuPont™ Kevlar® to aid grip on the fuel tank under heavy braking. The fixed 3D Quick Dry mesh lining absorbs sweat easily, is fast drying and along with the panel in panel ventilation on the chest, body, inner thighs and back, keeps you fresh. Also it features a simpler lining and improved airbag lining which helps you both take the suit on an off and access the In&box and gas canister easily. The race hump has been designed to accommodate helmet spoilers and aids aerodynamic performance in a racing tuck. Add in-class leading safety features such as the suite of CE certified armour, TPU shoulder and knee cups, quick release hook & loop elbow and knee sliders and of course not forgetting the integrated In&motion airbag technology and you have a high pedigree riding suit that punches way above its weight.

Is this really an entry level one piece suit? We've packed so much spec into the Podium Integrated Airbag Suit, it will blow your mind.

Cut less aggressively than our track focused suits, Podium is fully CE Certified to Level AAA and is perfect for everyday road riding. Made from a full grain leather, the suit is reinforced with four-way woven stretch with full body motion panels across the arms to the top of the chest, side of the body and inner thigh to the seat area for superior levels of comfort and movement on and off the bike and aids airbag deployment. The suit features a fixed mesh lining to absorb sweat, which along with panel in panel ventilation keeps you fresh. The lining is designed to make the suit easy to put on and take off and also provides easier access to the In&box and gas canister. Made from a soft touch, matte finish, premium drum dyed cowhide leather, the jacket is supported by a four-way woven stretch with motion panels throughout, for maximum comfort and movement when worn and especially if the airbag is deployed. In fact, the motion panels wrap around the arms to give unparalleled versatility and support different styles of riding. Added to this are the removable quilted thermal gilet with two pockets, a fixed Quick Dry mesh lining, panel in panel perforation to keep you warm and fresh and waist adjusters which offer a contoured fit. This jacket exceeds its AAA CE rating. Made from a robust, abrasion resistant HTC fabric, the fabric has a Durable Water Resistant coating which repels water and stops the jacket from wetting out. The jacket is supported by four-way woven stretch with motion panels throughout, for maximum comfort and movement when worn and especially if the airbag is deployed. The motion panels enhance the comfort of this sports riding jacket, whether riding upright or in a tuck. The F-Lite Jacket’s lightweight yet robust construction comes from K540 mesh supported by HTC fabric, providing huge airflow without compromising abrasion resistance. Knitted to enhance comfort, ventilation and movement, the F-Lite fully accommodates the In&motion Airbag, allowing enough room for effective deployment. The Pro Series Adventure-X Airbag jacket is a must have for all adventure riding. Designed with input from legendary Dakar Rally finisher Mick Extance, who knows what is needed to make the best jackets for adventure riding! This is a high specification jacket: It’s double layered, made from MaxTex – a lightweight high denier synthetic material that offers great protection and is comfortable to wear. Additionally, a Ballistic textile is overlaid over key impact areas along with the triple stitching using a coated bonded nylon thread offers increased abrasion resistance. An addition to the jacket is the innovative and

removable X-Liner – a singular lightweight lining which features the quilted thermal liner and the SinAqua waterproof membrane combined together. This can be removed easily and stored in the rear jacket map pocket. This along with the superior levels of ventilation in the form of the fixed comfort mesh lining and multiple chest, arm and rear vents ensure superb levels of air flow in and out of the jacket, keeping you cool as you ride. All hail the Pro Series Paragon 6. Our best-selling, best performing and most loved jacket is back and better than ever before! Rebuilt from the ground up, the Paragon 6 has been upgraded with the latest technologies including an In&motion Airbag, helping it achieve superior performance levels in a wide range of conditions. Made from Ballistic Reinforced MaxTex coated with a hydrophobic Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating, the Paragon 6 punches well above its weight for protection and features. It’s lined with a Quick Dry mesh to absorb sweat, a removable 300gm quilted thermal lining and a fixed SinAqua Pro lining which when combined offer incredible warmth, waterproofing and breathability. The jacket comes with a pocket for a back protector and CE Level 1 shoulder and elbow armour along with shoulder cups and reflective panels for added visibility and protection. Democratising airbag technology was our single minded goal when we started developing our integrated airbag range a few years ago. The Axiom jacket realises this ambition - designed for the daily commuter who uses a bike as a mode of transport not pleasure and who ultimately, wants all the protection with no hassle when it comes to their kit. Made from heavy-duty MaxTex, the jacket features a breathable fixed SinAqua waterproof lining and a fixed mesh lining which, when all combined, offer fantastic levels of waterproofing and breathability. Added to this are the reflective styling details, waterproof cargo pockets and elasticated hook & loop waist adjusters to contour the jacket to the shape of the rider. CE Certified to Level AA, the jacket features CE Level 1 shoulder and elbow armour, TPU shoulder cups and reflective panels for visibility and protection. CE STANDARD EN17092: TESTED FOR: • SLEEVE / TROUSER RESTRAINT – To avoid user’s body being exposed in an accident. • TEAR STRENGTH AND SEAM STRENGTH – To avoid clothing bursting open. • ABRASION RESISTANCE – To avoid damage due to the road surface. • FIT AND ERGONOMICS – To ensure the glove is comfortable to wear when riding. • IMPACT PROTECTION – To avoid injuries caused by hitting solid objects. • MATERIAL ZONING – To ensure materials in areas most at risk offer additional protection (for example, elbow area. There are four levels of protection offered by RST: LEVEL AAA – Designed to the highest level of protection, however there may be ergonomic or weight penalties associated with use. LEVEL AA – Offers a balance between the level of protection available and any ergonomic or weight penalties associated with its use. LEVEL A – This offers a lower level of protection and is designed to reduce ergonomic and weight penalties. The intended use for this level is where conditions would make higher levels more inappropriate. For example in warmer weather conditions. LEVEL B – Offers limited protection against abrasion injuries, equivalent to Level A. It is recommended that these garments are worn with separate impact protectors for more complete protection.

AMARA

Soft suede-like microfibre noted for its durability.

ANILINE WAXED LEATHER

This leather is drum dyed with special aniline dyes that permeate the entire hide, it is then finished with a special wax treatment that gives a premium fashion look whilst retaining high levels of abrasion and tear strength.

BALLISTIC

A densely woven, heavy weight Polyester fabric using fine fibres that offers extreme abrasion resistance, tear and cut strength.

BONDED NYLON THREAD

Used in leather garments, Bonded Nylon is stronger than regular Nylon threads. The bonding agent which coats the Nylon fibres give this thread added strength and reduces friction at the needle resulting in smooth and strong stitches.

CORDURA®

Strong, versatile fabric, great for combatting the toughest environments. Helps protect against tears, scuffs and abrasions.

CORESPUN POLYESTER THREAD

Used in textile garments, Corespun Polyester has extreme tensile strength and works with a wide range of textile fabrics. The high strength core offers additional strength and abrasion resistance compared to staple spun thread.

CRC

A specially woven Nylon / Polyester / Elastane mix that has up-to a 6% stretch for enhanced comfort and ergonomics.

DWR

A durable water repellent treatment to the outer fabric, helping water to bead off and reducing the risk of the fabric wetting out.

FULL GRAIN LEATHER

Full grain leather that offers excellent abrasion and tear strength. Each hide is visually inspected and batch tested before being selected for use by one of our in-house craftsmen.

HIPORA®

A three-layer micro-porous silicone coated waterproof and breathable membrane used in boots and gloves.

HTC

HTC is a high tenacity Nylon fabric that combines outstanding levels of abrasion and tear strength and is highly supple and offers excellent levels of comfort.

KANGAROO

Kangaroo leather has up to 10 times the tensile strength compared to standard cowhide, enabling a lower thickness to be used. This guarantees excellent abrasion and tear strength whilst offering maximum comfort and enhanced ergonomics.

KEVLAR®

DuPont™ Kevlar® has a unique combination of high strength, high modulus, toughness and thermal stability. It was developed for demanding industrial and advanced-technology applications.

K-492 MESH

This mesh fabric gives a high level of abrasion and tear strength whilst allowing a large volume of airflow, used in low risk zones combined with other main fabrics.

K-540 MESH

With larger holes (4 times larger than K-492) K-540 mesh fabric flows a massive amount of air whilst still providing protection against abrasion, tear and cut strength.

MAXTEX

MaxTex is a 600 denier Polyester fabric that offers a good balance of protection and ergonomics. Developed exclusively for RST, MaxTex offers a higher abrasion resistance than regular 600 denier Polyester.

MICROFIBRE

Synthetic leather ideally suited for boots. Easily shaped to aid construction, water repellent and resistant to stretching.

MOTION PANEL

An area of accordion panel stitched leather or fabric backed with elastic to offer greater ergonomics and easy natural movement whilst wearing the garment.

PREMIUM DRUM DYED COWHIDE

The highest quality hide, drum dyed and treated with special silicones, only fullgrain leather is used. This leather offers superior abrasion and tear resistance and is super-soft and supple.

REFLEX

Reflective material, can either be laminated to the outer fabric or as piping.

RIPSTOP

Ripstop Nylon is extremely tough. Ideal for use in garments that will be worn in the toughest conditions.

SINAQUA

A three-layer durable waterproof and breathable membrane offering breathability of 5000 g/m2/24h of and a waterproof rating of over 10000mm/cm3

SINAQUA PRO

An ultra-durable three-layer waterproof and breathable membrane, offering exceptional breathability 11500 g/m2/24h of and a waterproof rating of over 15000mm/cm3

SuperFabric® material provides high levels of protection and is especially touted for its abrasion resistance.

SYMPATEX®

A highly breathable 4-layer waterproof membrane used in footwear and gloves. Footwear and gloves with Sympatex deliver excellent performance, protection and wear comfort in all weather conditions.

THERMAL LINING

Available in 3 weights;150g / 200g / 300g the higher the weight the thicker the lining, offering greater thermal retention.

TPU SHOULDER / KNEE CUPS

External cups positioned over the Armour to deflect the energy of an impact. Made of Thermoplastic Polyurethane with a low coefficient of friction.

A lightweight special woven Nylon/Polyester mix that has a soft and supple hand feel. VX is highly protective and enables enhanced levels of tailoring of garments where this fabric is used.

VX-R

A medium weight special woven Nylon/Polyester mix that has a soft and supple hand feel. VX-R is highly protective and enables enhanced levels of tailoring of garments where this fabric is used.

WAX COTTON

Synthetic wax is pre-impregnated into the cotton for a modern take on the traditional wax look. This fabric offers excellent protective qualities.

4-WAY WOVEN STRETCH

RACE

An uncompromising fit, designed to offer the rider the ergonomics and ease of movement in the most demanding environments whilst on the bike. Developed at the Isle of Man TT – exactly the same fit as our race suits used by our RST factory riders.

TRACK

Still uncompromised and focused for comfort on race and track bikes, but with 50 less arm and leg angle and slightly longer in the body to offer more comfort when off the bike.

SPORTS

A hybrid fit that offers a large range of movement on the bike but is also comfortable in a more upright riding position, equally at home on both the road and the track.

TOUR

Tailored with 1000s of hours of development to give the rider the maximum level of comfort in an upright riding position. With varying front and back lengths, position. With varying front and back lengths to ensure weather protection and comfort for all-day riding. Also designed to be as comfortable when off the bike. Textile jeans are long enough to cover boots when in the riding position – up to 3 leg lengths are offered.

ADVENTURE
