The NSMSC's Have a Crack @ The Track will see entrants race the Hidden Valley Raceway track or test their skills at one of three motorkhana tracks in the Hidden Valley Car Park, under the guidance of local race car drivers. Australian legend Jim Richards will also be making a guest appearance.
Tasmanian's finest off roaders will do battle on the picturesque dunes of St Helens in the Tasmanian East. Comprising of three 40-minute heats, with the addition of an extra lap, competitors will tackle up to 200km in one action packed day for the St Helens Screamer. CAMS.COM.AU 5

The CAMS Victorian State Circuit Racing Championship returns to Sandown for the first time since March for the penultimate round. With staple categories such as Excels, Formula Vee, HQ Holdens and Production Sports Cars all reaching the pointy end of the season, the round is set for some entertaining duals. 6 CAMS SPEED READ
Taking place at the Perth Motorplex in Kwinana Beach, the third round of the CAMS WA Motorkhana Championship gets underway with three competitions being hosted across the event with a Come and Try Day, Club Only and State Championship bragging rights all up for grabs.
VIETNAM ON TRACK FOR WORLD CLASS DEBUT 8 CAMS SPEED READ
Preparations are well underway for the first ever Formula 1 Vietnamese Grand Prix in 2020, with CAMS playing a key role in delivering the massive event. Officials training was held in Vietnam in recent weeks, with a core group of senior officials working closely with locally based officials who will help deliver the event in early 2020. These senior officials will be mentored by key CAMS officials in the lead up to and at the very first Grand Prix in Hanoi. CAMS has assisted in the formation of the new motor sport governing body for Vietnam, the Vietnamese Motorsport Association (VMA) which is now up and running.
Some of Australia’s most prominent officials including Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix Clerk of Course and Supercars Race Director Tim Schenken and 2016 FIA International Best Doctor Dr Brent May will play key roles in ensuring the success of the Australian event is replicated in Vietnam in 2020 and beyond. CAMS Director of Motor Sport & Commercial Operations Michael Smith said as well as the seniors official training, CAMS would also work closely with the VMA to deliver training for more than 900 officials required for the inaugural event “This is a really great opportunity for Australian officials, who are routinely
regarded as among the best in the world, to share their skills and knowledge and ensure the Vietnamese Grand Prix is a success,” Smith said. “This recent training for the senior officials included information of circuit and facility inspections, as well as key information of the running of a world class event. “The feedback from the event was very promising and it was extremely beneficial for everyone involved. It’s certainly a learning experience for all involved. “We’re really excited to be working with the VMA who are very passionate about delivering an event that will certainly be very popular with both
locals and international visitors when it gets underway in 2020 on the streets of Hanoi.” CAMS announced the commercial agreement with the VMA in March and together with the Australian Grand Prix Corporation will continue to work closely on all aspects of the event delivery. This type of training is certainly not new to CAMS, with Australian officials playing a key role in the delivery of training for officials at the Russian, Korean and Singapore Grands Prix in their formative years.

SAFETY KEY DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS With the winter school holidays taking place around the country this month, CAMS members are urged to take extra care when on the roads. As always, CAMS encourages all road users to be safe, allow plenty of time of travel and follow all road rules during their journeys. Tragically, the country is currently experiencing a higher than normal road incident toll, with 50 per cent more lives lost in Victoria compared to the same time in 2018. With CAMS also supporting the FIA’s #3500Lives campaign, an initiative aimed at reduce road tolls around the world, members should familiarise themselves with the FIA’s Golden Rules for road safety and keep these in mind whenever they get behind the wheel, not just in the busy holiday period.

The Tarmac JDP Association of SA’s ‘Bad Teachers’ has taken out the third CAMS Club Challenge Australia for 2019 with the three-man team claiming the South Australian title. Behind the wheel of the popular Hyundai Excels, Danny Shaw, Danny Maul and Nathan Green were far too good for the 15 other teams, picking up their third consecutive win in the process. Sports Car Drivers South Australia’s Team 1 came in second place after four of its five drivers posted their best times in their final runs, while Scout Motorsport Club SA’s Senior team pipped Drifting SA in the penultimate runs to round out the podium. Remarkably, all podium placers will use their cash prizes to invest back into their clubs with the Tarmac JDP Association and Scout Motorsport Club SA to reinvest back into their junior programs. The event’s most improved driver came in the form of Scout Motorsport Junior’s Grace Little who shaved off 46 seconds from her first time of the day. The next round of the CAMS Club Challenge Australia will be in Victoria at Bryant Park on 22 September.

DIARIES OF A JUNIOR CHALLENGE With the CAMS Club Challenge South Australia done and dusted, there were a lot of great individual stories to come out of the popular event. One in particular was the journey of young females Grace Little and Kasey Hill who were part of the Scouts Motorsport Junior Team and competed in their first event competitive event. Despite their initial hesitations, the duo excelled on the big stage in what was the first of many events in Australian motor sport.

The opportunity to be part in the CAMS Club Challenge was presented to us a couple weeks prior to it taking place. Before we even considered anything, it was a definite no from the both of us because of two feelings that consumed us - we were both nervous and full of doubt.

However after our initial decision, we began to receive lots of support and encouragement from the people around us, which made us realise that if we wanted to further our skills - the only way to do it was to push those feelings aside and get involved.

Our first drives alongside our instructors, with the commentator's amusing support really helped us ease into our first laps and gained confidence behind the wheel. Soon enough, we were being encouraged from the instructors to drive the rest of our laps solo.
It was a really rewarding feeling when both of us posted our eventual best time of 53 seconds on our final laps, as well as seeing Kristen Bailey cheering us on, congratulating us for achieving under a minute.
So with all this support behind us, our motivation to compete grew and we gained the desire to succeed.
With a lot of hesitance, we eventually did, but after trying it once or twice, we realised it was not as intimidating as we first thought – much to our surprise.

SAFETY CONNECTION HIGHLIGHTED THROUGH ANCAP PARTNERSHIP
The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) and independent vehicle safety authority ANCAP SAFETY are pleased to confirm a new partnership in 2019. As part of the collaboration, the ANCAP SAFETY logo will adorn the Hyundai Safety Car at each Shannons Nationals event in 2019 – as well as ANCAP vehicle safety content to be included in the popular live stream highlighting their vehicle rating system, crash and collision avoidance tests and the importance of driving and using a safe vehicle. CAMS CEO Eugene Arocca welcomed ANCAP as CAMS’ newest partner. “Safety is obviously a top priority for everyone at CAMS in everything we do and this partnership with ANCAP builds further on our work in this important area,” Mr Arocca said.

CLEMENTE EXCELLING AFTER CLAIMING FUTURE STAR To win a Burson Future Star award, a young driver must be successful in their respective discipline or even just show signs of significant development throughout the year. For the super talented Michael Clemente, finishing on the podium in the Victorian Hyundai Excel Series wasn’t enough – he had to win the South Australian category too, making him a worthy recipient of the 2018 Burson Future Star Award in Victoria. With the Excel series one of the most popular categories going around Australia, it’s no wonder the teenager chose to go down this pathway in order to satisfy his competitive hunger. Clemente, who is now racing in New South Wales on top of his duties in South Australia and Victoria, is riding the wave of his newfound success and is quickly becoming a powerhouse in the category. Despite two state titles and being on track to add more silverware to his growing trophy cabinet - taking out the Victorian Burson Future Star Award was one of the highest points of his

“It was also the most affordable category at the time and it still is so that was the reason we jumped into it and here I am now, still racing and still enjoying it. “The fields are always full, it’s cost effective and it’s all about slip streaming and sizing people up. “It may not be the most technical or the fastest form of motor sport but it’s full of close racing because the cars are all the same. Like most young drivers who dream of driving in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, Clemente started his career in karting, a discipline he raced in for more than 10 years where he won a number of trophies. Back when he was looking for his next challenge after karting and tossing
up a variety of national categories, a simple visit to the CAMS Victorian State Circuit Championships with his father turned out to be crucial in determining his future. “When my dad and I saw those Excels lined up, we were shocked as to how tricked up they were and the racing was even better,” Clemente said.
“It’s helped me as a driver because it’s all about cutting as much corner and momentum speed as you can,” Clemente explained. “It’s great for learning really important driving skills and maximising the ability in corners. “The category is a really good stepping stone for entry level to build on race craft and to learn the basic skills. "I think it’s an awesome category and hopefully it can lead to a bigger future.”

MALCOLM ENJOYING TASSIE RALLY SUCCESS As Subaru Rally Tasmania continues to grow in popularity since its return to the CAMS Australian Rally Championship after more than decade, there are a lot of people key to its rise.
Starting out in 1986, Malcolm first got involved in the sport through the Mini Car Club, volunteering at a variety of motorkhanas and navigation trials, where he directed his first event in 1987.
One of the main figures behind the event was Graham Malcolm.
Soon, Malcolm made the switch to the Fiat car club due to the club running more gravel-based events, something that appealed to Malcolm more.
Ahead of the inaugural event in July last year, Malcolm worked tirelessly for more than six months, including seven days a week for the final two months, to get it to the impressive standard it ended up being. With thousands of local Tasmanians attending the various stages over the course of three-day event, as well as it also winning the small business awards in Tasmania, it's safe to say Malcolm’s hard work paid off. Despite putting in so many hours into the event, as well as volunteering at Targa Tasmania, Malcolm was still a little embarrassed to be named the 2018 Castrol Tasmanian Official of the Year.
“I just like seeing people having fun and I love to promote the sport. “I like to see motor sport doing well.”
“It was a little unexpected and a little embarrassing to be honest because both Rally Tasmania and Targa Tasmania have so many great people working on them,” Malcolm said. “What we do is a team effort. I feel a bit humbled because of all the other people who put in just as much work to make these events successful. “With this said, it’s good to see our people get some recognition for our good work. We did pretty well with the rally and we are really proud of what we achieved in that time.”

Now, more than 30 years later, a simple interest has turned into a passion within rally and the people involved is what inspires the Tasmanian to continue working hard. “I just like seeing people having fun and I love to promote the sport. I like to see motor sport doing well,” Malcolm added. “One of things that people find when they come to Rally Tasmania is that all of us are a friendly bunch of people and we don’t have little cliques or anything.
“Winning the Castrol Tasmanian Official of the Year award was great, but also meeting a lot of different people from all walks of life is what makes being an official really interesting. “All these people share the same passion and are keen to be there along with you, every event is great fun and that is what I look forward to when being an official.”

Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia’s Harry Bates and John McCarthy have put in an awe-inspiring performance to claim their third round win of the 2019 CAMS Australian Rally Championship. It was a show of force from the Toyota Yaris AP4 crew, not putting a foot wrong and claiming all but one stage win across the weekend. The pair’s Subaru Rally Tasmania triumph adds to their Make Smoking History Forest Rally and Netier National Capital Rally victories so far in 2019, cementing themselves as the ones to beat in 2019 at the halfway point of the season. “It was a very good weekend for us, very happy to be here and the car is all in one piece,” Bates said. “It was tough. podiums, and were the only ones to take a stage off Bates and McCarthy. It took until the final stage of the event, but Taylor and Read edged out the Toyota by just 0.8s. Their third place in Heat 2 was enough to secure second over Lewis Bates and Anthony McLoughlin. While the younger Bates and Taylor were tied on points, the Subaru’s stage win gave them second place on countback. “We dropped a bunch of time during the morning. I don’t know what we hit, but we hit something,” Taylor said. “We decided to go for it (on the last stage) and it was just enough to claim second. It’s a nice feeling.

HSCRA HEAT UP SYDNEY WINTER BLUES Around 100 competitors across five categories have taken part in the Historic Sports and Racing Car Association (HSCRA) of New South Wales’s Sydney Classic, celebrating the golden age of motor sport.

While the cold and foggy conditions dampened the qualifying sessions, the sun was soon out and the action quickly heated up. From British Sports Cars to the MX5 Cup to Miniature Race Cars, spectators were treated to a day full of entertainment and historic beauty with each category getting on track for three races. While the event allowed drivers to strut their stuff on track, the pits and paddock were full of stunning cars from the HSRCA club and MG Racing Australia, as both clubs displayed an eclectic mix of vehicles. “We would like to thank all of the volunteers who devote their weekends, and in many cases weeks before and after an event, to our club's events,” the HSCRA said via the club's wesbite. “The sport would not survive without you and the talent, dedication and hard work you devote to it.” The HSCRA’s next major event will be the Spring Festival at Wakefield Park on 28 - 29 September. KIDD'S 40 YEARS EARNS HIM PRESTIGIOUS NSW PRIZE “It was a welcome surprise. “It was nice to see Sport New South Wales recognise us in motor sport”
For 40 years, David Kidd has been volunteering his time to give back to his beloved motor sport. A sport which has given him so much joy over the years. From working as a steward to getting close to the action, Kidd has taken on many diverse roles during his time in Australian motor sport. Late last month, after putting so much of his life into motor sport, the New South Welshman was rewarded for his efforts at a state level, picking up a Distinguished Long Service award at the 2019 NSW Community Sports Awards. Kidd was one of 20 individuals across a range of different sporting disciplines to be recognised with the award during the prestigious evening, as well as one of two representing motor sport with fellow official Matt Halpin nominated for Community Official of the Year.

Kidd’s time in the sport began in 1978 when he was just 18 years old and like most young officials, he started off as a training flag marshal. As he became more experienced, he graduated from flag marshal duties and continued to move up the ranks over the years – 30 of which were spent at every Australian Grand Prix – including the inaugural race in 1985. From Formula 1 to A1 GPs at Eastern Creek, as well as many years in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, Kidd has seen it all in Australian circuit racing and he hopes to keep officiating for many years to come.
After receiving the accolade, Kidd was both surprised and thrilled to be honoured for his work.
“After 40 years, I will still continue what I have been doing, as long as I am healthy to do so,” Kidd added.
“It was a welcome surprise, I was taken aback by it a little but it was nice to see Sport New South Wales recognise us in motor sport,” Kidd said.
“Part of the 20 of us that won service awards, there was a number of a people who had done 25-27 years, a woman who had done 60 years and incredibly a man who been volunteering for 70 consecutive years.
"It was a distinguished award and the prerequisite was greater than 25 continual years and I have been doing this for a while so it felt good to be recognised.

“It was a really nice evening and it was interesting to see what is going on in the community. Maybe one day in the future, we will have more people from motor sport represented here.”
“I have a long way to go, but one day I would like to reach that milestone.”

RHODES KING OF THE DESERT Jack Rhodes has finally won the iconic Tatts Finke Desert Race, round two of the BFGoodrich CAMS Australian Off Road Championship (AORC). It was a memorable victory for Rhodes, who rolled his car during Prologue for the second year running and started the race in 14th. Rhodes put on a masterclass on the journey to Finke, powering through plenty of dust to arrive second quickest behind Toby Price. Toby Price started the second day in style but early mechanical dramas on Monday saw him parked up by the side of the road and unable to continue. Rhodes capatalised on this and a faultless performance on the second day saw the man who had come so close so many times finally claim the ‘King of the Desert’ crown. 30 CAMS SPEED READ

D2BD AMBASSADORS INSPIRE AT EREBUS Dare To Be Different (D2BD) has hosted another successful event, this time at Erebus Motorsport with more the 30 young females from multiple schools taking part in the workshop. Under the guidance of multiple D2BD ambassadors, the young females completed a number of different challenges throughout the day, giving them the opportunity to experience multiple aspects of motor sport. On hand at the Victorian team’s headquarters was media personality Emma Notarfrancesco, Erebus Motorsport mechanic Bonnie Beard, Triple Eight engineer Romy Meyer and CAMS Australian Rally Championship star Molly Taylor.

BUNBURY REDEMPTION When Mark Greenham and Stephanie Esterbauer took out the top step in June’s GT Fabrication Targa Bunbury Sprint, it was an emotional moment. Outside of the fact that they put on a consistent display, which saw the duo claim the fastest times on multiple runs, their outright victory was the final step of redemption, finally putting the forgettable year of 2016 behind them. It was their inaugural Bunbury Sprint in 2016 and the pair were involved in a nasty crash. Fastforward three years and in difficult conditions, the 1979 Ford Escort MK2 pilots managed to push through to claim a monumental victory.

In second place a further seven seconds behind was Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6 pilots Paul Brockbank and Josh Gardiner, while fellow Evo drivers Will White and Matt Thompson rounded out the top three. “I couldn’t be happier with the result,” Brockbank said. “We had a front diff explode with two corners to go on the last run.
“We limped home and still finished second. Perfect timing really.” More than 100 competitors took part in the rain affected event as spectators were able to enjoy a variety of vehicles ranging from classic Minis, Datsuns and Ford Escorts to powerful V8s, turbo-charged rally cars and exotic cars.
A THRILLING WEEKEND ON THE ISLAND A historic season opener in Sydney has been followed up with a thrilling weekend in Victoria as the Shannons Nationals held its second round at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. From the exciting CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula 4 Championship double round to the chaotic final race of the carsales TCR Australia, which saw a number a collisions happen throughout the race. SHANNONS TO GO ROUND THE BEND The last time the Shannons Nationals visited The Bend Motorsport Park, history was made as it was the first time Australia witnessed the new world class circuit in action. This time round, it’s a little different, with the 15-month-old circuit holding its own as one of Australia’s premier race tracks - the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship’s OTR SuperSprint claiming the Major Event of the Year at the 2018 South Australian Sport Awards further justifying its title. In 2019, the Shannons Nationals will have two visits to Tailem Bend as part of its seven round season and this month’s round will allow South Australians to get their first look at the brand new carsales TCR Australia series. Joining the series are four other categories, all of which have lots on the line, making it an exciting return to the track for the Shannons Nationals.

CARSALES TCR AUSTRALIA SERIES After two rounds, the new series has been everything fans expected it would be. A combination of entertaining individual performances, thrilling racing and dramatic conclusions has all been part of the inaugural season. A pile up in the final race of the previous round at Phillip Island handed HMO Customer Racing’s Will Brown another weekend to remember as the 2016 CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula Champion extended his lead at the top. Ashley Seward Motorsport’s Dylan O’Keefe will be going into the round hungry for success after the collision in the final race ruined his two-race wins, while Tony D’Alberto rounds out the top three by one point over Aaron Cameron. As with all the rounds in 2019, the series will have Qualifying on Saturday morning with the first race of the weekend on Saturday afternoon, while Sunday will have two races in succession again.

CAMS AUSTRALIAN ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP Some brilliant driving from Geoff Emery and his partner Garth Tander in Phillip Island saw the reigning CAMS Australian GT Champion take top spot in the championship after one round. The Championship enters its second round this month and the leaders will want to redeem themselves after finishing 12th in the championship‘s visit to The Bend last year. It’s a big race for Max Twigg and Tony D’Alberto with the duo in third place on the Endurance standings after a solid season opener, while Twigg leads the outright CAMS Australian GT Championship. The 2018 CAMS Australian Endurance Champions won the round the last year so they will be full of confidence. Another big team to watch out for will be Fraser Ross and Ryan Simpson in the McLaren 720S GT3. The pair finished runner-ups in Victoria and would fancy themselves for a big weekend.

CAMS PAYCE AUSTRALIAN FORMULA 4 CHAMPIONSHIP The stage is set for the final weekend of the Championship with the second double round for 2019. Luis Leeds is in the box seat for his maiden title after dominating the year thus far by claiming every round and the Victorian is determined more than ever to get the job done. Of the six races last meeting, Leeds won half of them with Ryan Suhle grabbing two. The teenager's results make him one of a few drivers to prevent Leeds from achieving his goal. A breakout year for Antonio Astuti sees him in second outright, 25 points behind Leeds and with every chance to pip the leader in this month’s double round.

NATIONAL SPORTS SEDANS SERIES The National Sports Sedans Series enters its second round for the 2019 season and top honours went to the experienced and decorated Tony Ricciardello. Not far behind him is reigning champion Steve Tamasi who knocked the veteran of his perch in 2018 after a stellar year for the youngster. While only one round has passed, things are already heating up with the current superstar of the competition trying to prevent the series’ future star continue his rise. The series was also part of the Nationals when it last visited the South Australian track and both Tamasi and Ricciardello were at the top of the standings – making this month’s round one to look forward to.
IMPROVED PRODUCTION RACING ASSOCCARS The special invitational round will see Improved Production Cars from all around the country congregate one the biggest stages to do battle for bragging rights. With no points on offer to any respective competition, it will allow the drivers to do battle with no restrictions and showcase their talent in front of the Shannons Nationals crowds.
LOOKING AHEAD TO ROUND FOUR The Shannons Nationals’ fourth round for 2019 will take place at Queensland Raceway on 2-4 August. Marking the middle round of the 2019 season, the Nationals will welcome regulars, carsales TCR Australia series, Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge Australia and National Sports Sedan Series. New to the 2019 schedule are Improved Production Racing Association of Queensland and MRF Tyres Australian Production Car Series, back again for their annual night race format.

SXS LANDS IN THE CAPITAL
After a dramatic season opener in Newcastle, the DEWALT CAMS Australian SXS Championship heads south to the nation’s capital for the second round in 2019. In Cessnock, it was reigning champion Simon Evans who ended the day with maximum points after claiming a thrilling Grand Final victory during the final stages of the race, one which involved a number of lead changes. Fast forward two months and all 20 drivers from the first round are registered to go round again in Canberra with a number of them hoping to improve from the last hit out. As expected Evans is back to add another victory to his solid start to the title defence, while SXS Sport driver Tim Liston will be hoping to continue his rise up the ranks as he sits second place behind Evans. In third and fourth outright, Tom Evans and Stephen Henry will both be looking to topple the two front-runners and climb up the standings. In a field dominated by Victorians with 12 coming from the south, Liston leads the New South Wales charge with five drivers coming from the state, while Chris Jones joins Henry as the two drivers making their way down from the Sunshine state.

The remaining driver on the entry list is Japanese representative Tadamitsu Nihori, who has been making inroads in the Championship since making his debut in 2016 – his best result being a third place in round three last year. Like the first round in Cessnock, the circuit will be unfamiliar to a majority of the drivers with the Championship having previously raced in Majura over two years ago – making it an even playing field once again. However unlike the other three circuits, the ACT Motorcycle Club will see drivers compete on natural terrain adding an extra layer of difficulty for the drivers.

For the first time in the history of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, the Darwin Triple Crown was won by a deserving Scott McLaughlin. It’s no secret that McLaughlin is enjoying one of the best seasons in Supercars history and the Kiwi is closing in on Craig Lowndes’ record of 16 race wins in a single season. While Chaz Mostert claimed the fastest time in practice, the rest of the weekend belonged to McLaughlin as he claimed every other session, including the shootout and two races. The Triple Crown gets its name from the event's two race wins and the best time in the Top 10 Shootout. David Reynolds was the other big winner of the weekend with two podium finishes moving him inside the top three over Race 15 runner-up in Mostert. Both Jamie Whincup and Cameron Waters continued their climb up the standings with two top-five finishes, while Lee Holdsworth finds himself in the top 10 for the first time this season.

SUPERCARS TO AVOID WINTER BLUES WITH SUNSHINE The Championship makes its way to Queensland for the first time in 2019 with the Watpac Townsville 400 and the Century Batteries Ipswich SuperSprint to make it two rounds in July. Last year, Triple Eight Racing were the major winners of Townsville with Whincup and van Gisbergen taking home a win apiece, while the latter shared Ipswich round honours with McLaughlin. By the time the championship reached Queensland last year, there had already been eight different winners across five different teams, whereas this year has seen only four drivers from three teams win races. With McLaughlin in the box seat to claim back-to-back titles, the two Queensland rounds will prove vital in the outright championship with other potential contenders needing to get a move on and claim some results.

REGISTER YOUR CAGE Safety cage owners and manufacturers are reminded to submit safety cage registration application paperwork to CAMS as soon as the build is complete. In compliance with CAMS Manual Schedule J, a Safety Cage can be registered as soon as it is fitted to a vehicle, even at the bare bodyshell and unpainted stage. An application for approval at this time is preferred and should any issues be identified, it can be easier to rectify at this stage of the vehicle build before any painting or other items are installed. Once a Safety Cage structure has achieved approval for registration, the CAMS Safety Cage Registration label will be issued. The vehicle can then continue to be assembled for motor sport with the label being attached once the build has been completed. Following the completion of the vehicle build, a CAMS Log Book application can be made with the safety cage having been previously approved.
CAMS has had a recent influx of applications for safety cage structures which have been constructed more than 12 months prior to the registration application being submitted and which no-longer meet the current regulations. Applications are approved based on the regulations applicable at the time of the application being made to CAMS, not at the time of the construction of the cage. Any regulation changes that come into effect after the build and before application paperwork is received by CAMS may mean that the cage structure is determined to be non-compliant and therefore may have to be updated accordingly for the structure to be approved.
