Site considerations The site is located on Abdoon corridor with a total area of 60 donums and surrounded by streets from all directions, the difference in elevation between the front street and the back street is 45 meters, making the slope around 30 percent. One of the advantages of this location is that its front street “Abdoon corridor” is targeted as a part of the corridor intensfication strategy “CIS”, making it a vital location in the near future.

PUBLIC ATRIUM After entering the courthouse at the +0.00 level and getting inspected by security checkpoint users can either descend to lower levels to follow up with legal procedures or ascend to the higher levels if they have an appointment for trial. Users maneuver through the sculptural staircase taking them around displayed content that conveys the perspectives of absolute and relative justice. Ind addition, it gives them factual law-related material that can be helpful for them in the future. The staircase has two hanged platforms at different levels as the staircase was built on sacred geometry principles.

COURTROOMS Courtrooms are accessed through a cantilevered bridge, the interior is very similar to the geometry of the slit with two tilted smooth walls that meet at the top with a skylight that lits the inside with dramatic lighting. Sides of the room are illuminated by a warm ambient light that washes the curving walls. Furniture used is as plain and simple as can be, composted of fine wood, leather and stainless steel that give a very tranquil and serene look that suits the place where a trial is held

JUDGES ATRIUM Judges were given the respect they deserve through a special plaza entrance and a large atrium-lounge communal space covered with skylight litting the entire area and creating volumes of intereaction. THE GREENHOUSE The urban greenhouse is a hybrid type created by merging the reverse T-Type and reverse I-Type. It constitutes a tower which holds residential and working spaces, and a plinth that is open to both residents of the tower and the general public. The concept enables the building to serve as an urban connector between the green spaces of Theodor – Heuss Platz situated to the west of the site and the Lietzenseepark situated to the east. It is meant to be a sheltered public space, which will provide high-quality urban green spaces, for the transient users coming from and towards the ZOB and the permanent users that live or work in the surrounding areas. To fulfill the idea of having a covered space without making it heavy, dark and enclosed to its surroundings, A green house structure that shelters and supports the program of the plinth is proposed. This will free the ground level of any opaque surfaces that will be a visual barrier between the site and its surrounding area, allowing it to be porous and inviting to passersby. The exposed ground level will also extend to the patch of greenery adjacent to the site to enlarge the greenery coverage and utilize the currently dormant green space. The tower itself is piercing through the greenhouse integrating the working spaces with the plinth to enrich the experience of the co-working in the project. The voids created within the working levels allow for visual connectivity and give the feeling of openness to the workers. The project is simply described as three volumes that have different scales with different characteristics and spatial qualities. GENERAL ASSEMBLY The general assembly, usually represented in the United Nations, is a formal space for discussions and votes in which 193 countries participate. This form of assembly doesn’t solve problems and doesn’t have a direct influence on the society. The participation of representatives is passive. According to Milo Rau, there are many societies that are excluded from the governmental attention and never concerned such as Non-governmental organizations and others. We offer a space where representatives of those groups can not only have a discussion forum but also can have a platform where research and experiments may be performed. The place where issues can be studied, and the result can be shown. We offer an institution with the laboratory, the theatre, the library and the gallery functions. THE PSYCHODE Located at the center of the university of Jordan, the project is a gymnasium dedicated for the students of the university with a total area of 5700 squared meter. Built as a replacement for the existing sports facility building, the project provides different types of activities for its users. In addition to the project’s role as a sport-activities center, it can be considered a social node for students as it is accessible for all students from different faculties. The the building is elevated creating a social space on the ground level of the project for the students . Moreover, it provides commercial services as it has a cafeteria for the members of the gym and for the students. Supervised by: Saleem Dahabreh Studio: Design studio 04
