Join us for nine weeks of summer day camps in 2021, including both full-day and half-day options for students entering grades K-7. With new instructors, new topics and one centralized camp site, students will be able to try new things, meet new people and grow.

NEW! SUMMER FUN THEMED SESSIONS

Our new traditional summer day camp sessions will feature a new theme each week and be offered for the morning and afternoon sessions for students in grades K-3 and 4-7. Each session will include gym time, science experiments, art projects, outdoor adventures and more. Sign up for a whole day of summer fun or pair it with another summer day camp to create a full-day experience!

MORNING AND AFTERNOON CARE

Reduce some summer stress with our extended morning drop-off hour and afternoon pick-up hour included in your summer camp registration! Campers can be dropped off as early as 8 a.m. and picked up as late as 5 p.m., giving families a little more flexibility in their day.

YOUTH SUMMER DAY CAMP Create a full day of fun with the Lunch Bunch program. For families looking for full-day options, the Lunch Bunch program is a perfect way to connect morning and afternoon camps. Lunch Bunch provides a supervised lunch hour but does require students to bring their own lunch. Registration is in addition to camp registration, and the cost is $10 per week.

LUNCH BUNCH

Experience high-quality supervision and new onsite events with our Fun Fridays featuring special guests and activities! Fun Fridays are $50 per Friday and require students to bring a bag lunch. Drop-off is at Turtle Lake Elementary School from 8 - 9 a.m., with pick-up from 4 - 5 p.m.

We look forward to making sure participants have a great time this summer and are safe while in our care. We ask that you help us by following the guidelines below: • Elementary and middle school participants enrolled in camps or activities during the summer should be checked in and out of the camp by a parent/guardian or caregiver unless otherwise noted. • Please make sure that your emergency contact information is current and any accommodation/medical needs are included in your child’s registration. • Please complete your camper Information form when it is emailed to you at the beginning of summer. •Our camps will be run in accordance with the latest CDC, MDH and District safety guidelines. More information will be given prior to your participant's session. •All staff, instructors, participants and parents will be required to wear a mask to enter the building and for the reminder of their time in any district building. •Each morning and afternoon block will function as an independent program pod and groups of participants may be mixed between morning and afternoon blocks due to participant elected camp sessions.

In this camp, where science meets glam, you and your besties will have a blast concocting all types of beauty and bath products while you learn the science behind them all. By combining the LEGO building system’s versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 (the most sophisticated microcomputer brick ever made by LEGO), this camp will energize and excite students. Working each day in teams, students will construct fun LEGO models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. DESTINATION MARS: ROCKETRY Grades 2-5 | Registration fee: $123 Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home! You will make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. DAY CAMP REGISTRATION • Registration will open on March 22, 2021, at 9 a.m. • Participants should register for activities that serve the grade/age they will be in the fall of 2021. • Registrations are accepted on a first-come/first-serve basis until a class is full. • All course fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. • You will receive an email confirmation and a reminder email before your Community Education program or camp begins. REFUNDS, CHANGES, DEADLINES AND CANCELLATIONS • Cancellations must be made at least seven days prior to the start of the activity to receive a refund. A $5 processing fee will be assessed to all cancellations. • There will be no cost adjustments for late registration or classes missed by a participant. • Community education reserves the right to cancel a class. When cancellations occur, participants will be notified and a full refund will be issued. • All Community Education activities are subject to changes and cancellations. • Registration deadlines for most activities are one week prior to the start date. • Classes are filled on a first-come first-serve basis. • Many classes fill quickly and instructors may need to order supplies. • Some classes may be canceled due to low enrollment, so please register early. • In the event a positive case of COVID-19 is reported within the program, MDH and district guidelines will be followed. o If the guidelines results in the cancellation of a course registration fees will be prorated and refunded for missed days.

YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS Youth who are residents residing within the Mounds View Public Schools boundaries may be eligible for partial scholarships to qualifying programs. For more information call 651-621-6020 and select youth programs.
