COLD FORGED The primary reason we forge is that it allows us to create dramatically shaped teeth and ramping surfaces on our chainrings. Our “One Shot” forging process allows us to make these complex shapes, and at the same time we create a harder and tougher ring than the competition’s CNC machined rings. The extreme pressure from this intense process aligns the raw aluminum grain which creates a harder, tougher surface for increased durability. Individual tooth profiles, alternating tooth angles, timed ramps, and tactically placed shift pins are all packed onto a Praxis ring.

TRANSLATION: All of these small features add up to the most durable and fastest shifting rings ever produced for cyclists.

LEVATIME™ - OPTIMIZED MATCHED SETS

Like all great marriages in life, timing is everything. A large part of our shifting quality is our LevaTime™ shifting technology. LevaTime™ is our unique timing and clocking of the outer and inner rings together. All of the Praxis ring combinations are matched sets precisely designed in concert for an optimized shifting experience. Praxis engineers spend an obscene amount of time laboring over tooth shape, ramping, and the precise location of shift pins. This allows the inner and outer ring to be matched and in perfect sync at the moment you make a shift.

IT’S ALL IN THE TEETH: One thing many people notice right away is the complex shaping of the teeth on a Praxis chainring. We sculpt very elaborate teeth profiles to better control the chain during upshifts and downshifts. By forging a chainring where no two teeth are alike, we create a ring-set which allows the chain to smoothly move laterally and vertically. • • • • •

THE PRAXIS CONVERSION BB

• For Shimano cranks installed on BB30, PF30, or Specialized OSBB road frames • Made precisely to Shimano Hollowtech II spec • Specific versions for Road and MTB frames • Steel and ceramic bearing versions available

Our industy leading conversion BB is a proper BB for either Shimano, Campagnolo Ultra Torque, or SRAM GXP cranks to mount in BB30, PF30, or Specialized OSBB frames. This patent pending design keeps the bearings outboard of the frame right on spec for greater rigidity and free of frame tolerance issues that other systems deal with. Simply press in the longer Non Drive Cup, then the shorter Drive Cup threads into it. Our trademark Collet system expands to an exact machined stop to evenly disperse pressure for a super tight fit. With both cups connected and our collet set precisely to spec, there is no chance the bearings can come out of alignment or wiggle/walk out of the frame.

THE SOLUTION

As the drive cup threads into the non-drive cup, our Collet expands out to a precise machined stop. This sets the BB and bearings exactly to PF specification.
