Bienvenidos al nuevo Catálogo LORPEN Otoño-Invierno 2015. Han pasado 30 años desde que nuestros fundadores comenzaron la fabricación de calcetines en el pequeño pueblo del Pirineo llamado Etxalar. Actualmente la empresa se integra en un grupo empresarial global del mundo del Outdoor y comienza un nuevo capítulo en su historia. Lorpen aporta al nuevo grupo, y al mercado del Outdoor, le experiencia y esencia creativa que la ha llevado a obtener una gran reputación por su tecnicidad y diseño entre clientes y deportistas de 60 países: • Una personalidad única que le confiere su origen familiar en un pequeño valle rodeado de verdes praderas y las primeras montañas del Pirineo. • Un carácter innovador y perfeccionista como fabricante de un producto del más alto nivel técnico. En este catálogo para 2015 presentamos nuevos diseños e innovaciones tecnológicas alcanzadas por Lorpen. Nuestra tecnología exclusiva T3+ con Polartec® nos trae el nuevo modelo INFERNO con tejido Polartec® y relleno Primaloft® para expedición. El nuevo calcetín superlight de esquí para competición también con Polartec® no está al alcance de cualquiera. La tecnología exclusiva T3 con hilos diferenciados de Primaloft® y lana Merino nos presenta el nuevo calcetín específico para esquí de montaña. Pero además introducimos también una innovación en la tecnología T2: hemos desarrollado un nuevo hilo con mezcla de lana Merino y Thermocool® que responde a la demanda de los deportistas Outdoor. Esta innovación complementa las virtudes de la lana Merino con tecnología que mejora su gestión de la humedad y rapidez de secado. Welcome to the LORPEN Fall-Winter 2015 Catalogue.

It’s been 30 years since our founders started designing and manufacturing socks in a small village in the Pyrenees named Etxalar. Today Lorpen becomes a partner in a much larger global outdoor group and launches the next chapter in our history. Lorpen brings to the new group, and to the Outdoor market, the experience and creative essence that has led to a strong reputation for performance and design among dealers and athletes from 60 countries worldwide: • Lorpen has a unique personality built from its family origins in a small valley surrounded by beautiful green fields and the first summits of the Pyrenees. • Lorpen brings an innovative and perfectionist attitude and approach as a manufacturer of products with the highest technical level. We are innovators and manufacturers, not marketers of socks made by someone else. • What sets Lorpen apart from other brands is our constant search of new sock technology and the use of advanced yarns in an innovative way to obtain the maximum performance in each target activity. This catalogue presents the new designs and sock innovations that we have achieved at Lorpen for 2015. Our exclusive T3+ Technology with Polartec®, features the new expedition designed INFERNO with Polartec fabrics sandwiching Primaloft® insulation. The new Superlight Ski Race sock, made with Polartec® fabrics, cannot be found anywhere else. The T3 concept products feature the new Ski Mountaineering (Ski touring) sock with T3 Technology layering Primaloft® and Merino yarns. These new products have taken sock design to new levels . In addition, we have introduced a new innovation with our T2 technology: developing a yarn design blending Thermocool® and Merino that responds to the demand of Outdoor athletes. This innovation enhances the benefits of Merino wool with technology that improves moisture management and drying rates. This new technology has an important presence in the new T2 winter collection (lightweight and midweight) for trekking and wintersports. Los calcetines de nivel T1 se fabrican con Merino, Algodón, Polyester… o mezclas en el interior y exterior con nylon en el medio, para confort en actividades de mínima intensidad. Evidentemente, los T1 se fabrican sin ninguna tecnología de tejido avanzada. The T1 performance level of socks are manufactured with Merino, Cotton, Polyester... or blended fiber inside and outside of the sock with nylon in the middle, for comfort and low intensity activities. As you can see the T1 are designed without any real performance technology.

Este tipo de construcción ofrece un mayor nivel de confort y durabilidad, pero alcanza su límite de prestaciones debido a la limitación técnica de aislamiento o gestión de la humedad cuando el nivel de actividad pasa a ser más exigente. The T2 performance level of socks is manufactured with Merino, Polyester or blended fibers with nylon in the reinforcement areas. This type of construction delivers an improved level of comfort and durability but reaches their performance limit due to the technical limitations of insulation or moisture management when the activity level gets more aggressive.

Tencel® es una fibra de celulosa de Lenzing que proviene de árboles de Eucalipto de plantación sostenible certificada. La nanoestructura del Tencel® ofrece un transporte, acumulación, expansión y secado de la humedad excepcional.

Tencel® is a cellulose Lenzing fibre which comes from Eucalyptus plants on certified sustainable plantations. Tencel®’s nano-structure provides exceptional wicking, accumulation, expansion and drying of moisture.

merino The longer (65-100 mm) and thinner (less than 24 microns) wool from the Merino sheep produces a softer yarn with a finer rib which feels wonderful to the touch. The core of the yarn is hydrophilous (retains moisture) and breathable. The yarn provides warmth even when wet and is the intermediate layer in Lorpen Trilayer® socks for cooler temperatures.

Coolmax® is a polyester yarn from Invista with channels to efficiently transport moisture away from the skin to the outside of the sock.

Polyester yarn developed by Primaloft® (world leader in artificial thermal insulation in technical clothing) which combines 30% Primaloft® fibres with 70% recycled post-consumer polyester. The result is a soft, thermal insulated hydrophobic fibre which expels rather than absorbs moisture.

Se trata de una fibra de polipropileno que lleva un tratamiento antibacterial aplicado en su núcleo. Su principal propiedad es que seca a gran velocidad ofreciendo una buena sensación térmica y de confort.

This polypropylene fibre contains an antibacterial additive in the core. Its main property is that it is extremely fast-drying giving warmth and comfort.
