A weekly breath of fresh air!
September 9, 2015 Year 4, Issue 49
Pick an apple a day, keep the bears away Eli Elder picks apples as his mom, Kat Williams, and sister, Ruby, hold the ladder steady. Their family participates in the Apple Network, a program organized by Crowsnest Conservation BearSmart. Now in it’s 10th year, this free community service matches people who aren’t able to tend to their fruit trees with others looking to take home some fresh fall harvest. This not only keeps natural attractants from being wasted, but also helps protect the bears who call Crowsnest Pass home. Photo by Erin Fairhurst
