PRESIDENT’S NOTE Hey Penguins! I hope all of you had a fantastic summer and are settling into school nicely. In case you haven't met me yet, I am the current president of Key Club. We have so many events planned for the year, and we NEED YOU to make them happen, so I hope to see all of your beautiful faces at events. "Hope’s Corner has been a long standing opportunity for Key Clubbers such as myself who don't have as much free time to go to bigger events to volunteer at a reliable, consistent, and fun event.“ -Garon Fok

PAST EVENTS 6/11: BIKE VALET
The City of Los Altos will be providing free bike valet stations for cyclists to use while visiting downtown. Valet stations for volunteers included Starbucks, Bumble, Voyageur du Temps, and Red Berry Coffee. Checked bikes in, affixed a valet ticket to the bike and gave the torn off piece to the rider.

8/7: AUGUST DCM & ICE CREAM SOCIAL With Mountain View Kiwanis Before school started, D34S had their August DCM at Mercy Bush Park. The DCM was preceded by a service event where we helped the Mountain View Kiwanis , so the day was full of hanging out with kids and Key Club friends. At the DCM, the tshirt and drawstring bag designs were announced. We also voted on spirit back items, which we decided to be three items: t- shirt, baseball cap, and drawstring bag. Last but not least, the Spirit Coordinators and PTP/MNT Coordinators were announced, and I'm proud to say that one of the Spirit Coordinators is our own newsletter editor, Annette! -Adrian Lo
