CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP

Lessons in character and

The Pisgah Experience enables students to discover God’s ultimate truth, as well as their individual and unique gifts, and to begin an exploration into their purpose in life.

“I already had a pretty strong relationship with God, but the retreat at Sharptop allowed me to really spend even more time with Him. It is an amazing place and an incredible experience!”– Alex Hilton, Upper School Student Pisgah Preschool introduces students to God’s love. In Lower School, students focus on character development through the study of life and people

devotion, and model the pursuit of intelligent faith. Weekly Chapel is a top priority in Pisgah programming at all age and grade levels, with increasing levels of student involvement and leadership. Exciting and meaningful mission trips and the annual Pisgah Retreat are embraced by students and faculty alike. From toddlers to teens, students learn valuable lessons of faith, hope, and love through Pisgah community service projects.

Pennies for Patients Pisgah students and faculty raise more money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients campaign than any other school in the state of Georgia, ranking number three nationally.

dramatic change of perspective when she went on a tw two week mission trip to Jamaica — a chang change that will remain with her for a lifetime.

“Going to Jamaica really opened my eyes to the rest of the world and let me see how others are living. The trip allowed me to see that happiness and love are really what matter in life – not our possessions.” – Julia McLendon, Upper School Student

Pisgah’s thriving Christian Leadership program spreads God’s message of love and salvation throughout the globe. Hundreds of Middle and Upper School students, parents, and faculty members have participated in mission trips to Kenya, Russia, Gulf Coast, Montana, Costa Rica and Jamaica. Personal expression through the Cultivation of a deep and abiding love for the arts is woven into the Pisgah Experience. Through wide-ranging hands-on exposure and the study of varied art forms, students develop an enduring appreciation for the arts.

PISGAH ARTS

Beginning in Preschool with fingerpaints, plastic drums, and fairy tales, young students create masterpieces and memories.

â– page ten

Lower School programs continue this introduction to the arts with weekly music classes, theatrical productions, and opportunities to explore emerging creative talents.

Pisgah offers premier strings and bells programs for Lower School students, as well as popular puppetry arts. Talented and passionate arts faculty help students build self-confidence through creative expression. Middle and Upper School students take arts exploration to the next level with drama,

photography, visual arts, general and instrumental music, theater, and chorus. Pisgah’s Thespian and National Art Honor Societies are filled with talented students, many of whom have captured local and regional awards. Art shows and gallery openings are popular events and Pisgah theatrical and musical performances play to sell-out crowds.

Where is the spark ignited? When does a love for the arts first emerge and inspire a young artist? …with a kindergarten project with crayons and construction paper, …a dedicated chorus teacher who helps you find your inner voice and your self-confidence, …or the moment you take to the stage to recite your lines in the school play. For hundreds of Pisgah students, these moments can launch a lifelong pursuit of the arts.

my pisgah Jessy began her exploration of the arts at Pisgah and now studies the great masters in Italy. She still remembers the teachers who made an impact on her life here at Pisgah, helping her develop self-confidence and a sense of adventure. “Looking back on my Pisgah experience, there’s nothing I would change!” — Jessy Cole, ’05 Pisgah Graduate, Attending Baylor University

What sets Pisgah apart? More than a school, Pisgah is a community. Ask any student, parent, or teacher, “What do you love most about Pisgah?” The answer you’ll hear is: “Pisgah is a family.” Relationships and a sense of belonging are highlights of the Pisgah Experience.

Upper School students learn the “extra somethings” that make a big difference in life: how to prioritize, responsibility for self, and discovery of their gifts and talents. These students also enjoy increased freedom and often comment on how much they appreciate the mutual respect that is present between themselves, their teachers, and peers. From Preschool to graduation, Pisgah provides an experience that develops students who are truly prepared for college and ready for life.

“My Pisgah experience lasted thirteen wonderful years. Each year I would ask my parents to please send me back again the following year! At Pisgah, I learned to challenge myself, grow closer and stronger in my relationship with God and made lifelong friends.”– Paul Martini, ’09 Valedictorian
