Educational Philosophy Founded in 1986, Mount Pisgah Christian School’s mission is to provide an outstanding college preparatory education grounded in Christian faith and values. Pisgah Enrollment (JK-Grade 12): 694 is an independent, coeducational day Students Representing Minority Ethnicity: 19% school serving students from Pre-K Students Receiving Tuition Assistance: 20% through 12th grade serving the greater Enrollment (Grades 9-12): 286 Atlanta, Georgia area. Mount Pisgah Class of 2014: 82 offers a learning environment that challenges, nurtures and strengthens students intellectually, spiritually and physically. Our students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities in order to develop the whole person as a contributor to a thriving school community. The Upper School was established in 2001. Academic, artistic and athletic excellence along with the spiritual and interpersonal growth of young people, are central to our mission. An active advisory program, honor code and service learning program instill values of respect, honesty and good character.

Academic Information Students are required to complete 23 academic units in the Upper School to graduate. Based on the rigor of our curriculum, Mount Pisgah limits the number of AP courses/exams to 1-Grade 10, 3-Grade 11, 3-Grade 12.

A cumulative GPA is calculated annually on the basis of grades earned in classes completed at Mount Pisgah during a student’s Upper School career. AP courses are given a 6 point weight. Honors courses are given a 3 point weight.
Due to the academic quality of each graduating class, MPCS does not rank its seniors.

2013 Advanced Placement Scores In 2012-2013, Mount Pisgah offered 13 year-long AP Courses. Of the 259 students enrolled in the Upper School at the time, 39% completed 183 AP exams and 78% scored three or above. All students enrolled in an Advanced Placement course are required to take the AP exam.
Mini-Mesters Once per year, all students have the opportunity to concentrate in two different electives. For two weeks, students are allowed to concentrate on a particular subject or engage in academic-related travel. These electives carry a .25 unit weight.
Reporting Policy For Academic Or Behavioral Misconduct When asked by a college, serious misconduct in grades 9-12 that results in out-of-school suspension or expulsion is reported.
