MOVE AND EXPLORE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Move and Explore is an exciting active play and active learning programme for primary school children within the Early Years Foundation stage and Key Stage 1. Move and Explore supports schools by delivering fun filled physical activity sessions which will be the highlight to every child’s week.
Through each Move and Explore session we will support every child in developing their physical skills thus improving their spatial awareness, agility, co-ordination and balance to help give every child an active start in life! And importantly supporting their overall development through multi-sensory and active learning.

Move and Explore aims to support a child's growth by creating opportunities for young children to access high quality physical activity. These opportunities allow young children to learn about themselves, the world around them and how they can interact with it.

Move and Explore sessions are individually designed for each group of children. No two groups are the same so neither are the sessions. Sessions last from 40 minutes up to 60 minutes depending on the age of the children. Move and Explore can be delivered nearly anywhere from a playing field to a school hall or a small classroom. The Move and Explore programme has been created by ActiveConnections, a not for profit organisation, specialising in children and young peoples' sport and physical activity. ActiveConnections has worked with NHS Bristol and Department of Health South West in the development of the first free resource, Move and Explore - Active Play.
