MOVE COMMERCIAL AWARDS 2012
Move Commercial Awards 2012 I
t promised to be an evening of glitz and glamour and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The Your Move Property Awards 2012 took over Lutyens Crypt at the Metropolitan Cathedral as the stars of the Liverpool property industry were recognised. Big winners on the night included Peel Land and Property, which scooped the Best Commercial Scheme award for Princes Dock. The judges said the size and impact of schemes has been the deciding factor in this category. Liza Marco, property manager at Princes Dock, says: “This is fantastic news. Princes Dock has a stunning backdrop with unrivalled views of the River Mersey and the new cruise liner terminal has added to its vibrancy. Princes Dock will continue to transform as it plays an integral part of Peel’s Liverpool Waters scheme. We are delighted that Your Move has recognised this scheme as the successful development it is and have presented Princes Dock with this award.” Bruntwood and Weightmans received the gong for best Commercial Deal, beating off stiff competition. The judges were impressed with the category as a
whole, stating “In a currently challenging market it is fantastic to have such strong and stand out submissions from all entries into this category. Three significant lettings along with a very impressive freehold sale have made this category extremely difficult to judge.” The accolade for Professional Firm of the Year went to Hitchcock Wright & Partners. Judges were impressed with the standard of presentation from entrants with particular focus on investment in staff and considerable achievements set against challenging market conditions. Matt Kerrigan, associate partner at Hitchcock Wright & Partners collected the award at the glittering ceremony. He says: “We are delighted that we have been recognised for our continued professionalism and dedication to our clients. To be chosen from such a high calibre of organisations in the region that were also short listed for this category is a great achievement for us. This year especially has been a landmark for Hitchcock Wright, as we celebrated our 20th anniversary this summer, commemorating two decades of commercial property work in the region.”
