La sección chiquiSHORTS, creada en 2016, tiene el objetivo de estimular y deleitar la imaginación de los amantes del cortometraje del futuro: los niños, las niñas y jóvenes. Con el paso de los años, esta sección ha consolidado una selección de contenidos infantiles hecha por el festival a partir de su convocatoria, llamada BOGOSHORTS Kids, y le ha dado la bienvenida a propuestas de programación de festivales aliados con interés en públicos jóvenes. Para esta edición el Festival Internacional de Cine de Monterrey nos trae el programa Cine para chiquitos, compuesto por 11 cortometrajes animados que demuestran el talento de cortometrajistas mexicanos, y que seguro serán del gusto de grandes y chicos. Por su parte, el programa BOGOSHORTS Kids llega con nueve producciones cortas procedentes de República Checa, España, Alemania, Perú, Países Bajos y Colombia, que abordan temas como la creatividad, el autoconocimiento, el valor de la amistad, la relación con la naturaleza y los roles familiares y de género. Los invitamos a disfrutar estos programas en familia, el sábado 11 y domingo 12 de diciembre en horarios de la mañana en la Sala al aire libre CityU/BibloRed, y en la tarde en la Cinemateca de Bogotá.

The chiquiSHORTS section, created in 2016, aims to stimulate and delight the imagination of the short film lovers of the future: children and young people. Over the years, this section has consolidated a selection of children’s content made by the festival from its call for entries, called BOGOSHORTS Kids, and has welcomed programming proposals from allied festivals with an interest in young audiences. For this edition, the Monterrey International Film Festival brings us the program Cine para chiquitos, composed of 11 animated short films that showcase the talent of Mexican short filmmakers, and are sure to be enjoyed by young and old alike. For its part, the BOGOSHORTS Kids program comes with nine short productions from the Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Peru, the Netherlands and Colombia, which address themes such as creativity, self-knowledge, the value of friendship, the relationship with nature, and family and gender roles. We invite you to enjoy these programs with your family on Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12 in the morning at the CityU/BibloRed openair screen, and in the afternoon at Cinemateca de Bogotá.
