MVMA Members and Staff, I am so honored to have been selected as MVMA’s Veterinarian of the Year and want to thank you for recognizing me. I deeply admire all of the past recipients and look forward to working with the future winners. I know that many of you are more deserving than me for the many contributions you make to the profession and your communities. I am even more appreciative of the many opportunities and friends the MVMA and our profession have offered me. I want to thank each of you for helping me along the way and allowing me to represent you in various capacities over the years. I am thankful for my many mentors, and encourage all of our members to stay active in the Association in some way.

I am proud to be part of such a noble profession, and happy that I daily get to work with many of you on projects to protect and sometimes promote all aspects of animal agriculture.

The MVMA staff is always great to work with, and does more for Missouri veterinarians than most of us realize. I want to thank them for including my family in the award presentation. I am very lucky to have such a supportive family that share this award with me. They have demonstrated the value of community support and involvement. Also, family and coworkers allow us to commit to the duties of the MVMA.

Thanks so much. Sincerely,

Steve Strubberg DVM
