DECK OF CARDS WORKOUT
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
One deck of cards and enough space to move around.
HOW IT WORKS
Every suit in the deck of cards represents a different exercise and the card value equals the number of reps:
Spades: squat hops
Hearts: push ups
Clubs: sit ups
Diamonds: tricep dips
All face cards represent a cardio exercise and you will do 20 reps of each:
Jacks: 20 jumping jacks
Queens: 20 plank jacks
Kings: 20 squat jacks
Aces: 20 mountain climbers
Shuffle cards and once you’ve warmed up –flip the first card and do the exercise that corresponds with it. For example, if you flip over an 8 of Clubs – you will do 8 sit ups. If you flip the king of spades – you will do 20 jumping jacks. Continue this process of flipping one card and completing the exercise until you go through the entire deck of cards or until you’ve reached the time you planned for your workout. Move through the exercises as quickly as possible without sacrificing form and try to rest as little as possible between each card/exercise. This will keep your heart rate up!

2023 marks the 58th anniversary of pickleball, as it was invented in 1965 on Bainbridge Island, WA The beloved game was invented that summer by dads Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell,andBarneyMcCallumwhentheir children were bored with their usual summertime activities. Pickleball has evolved from the original makeshift equipmentandsimplerulesintooneof themostplayedsportsin2023!
