Printed Forms and their interactions
• When
was the last time I filled a form?
• What
was it for?
• Did
it invite me? Was it easy?
• Did
I fill it without any doubts?
• How

Also needs to appeal to the user and should invite him to fill in. Information should be condensed and simple vocabulary should be used as it plays an important role in understanding the form. All users of the form have to be studied before designing, this will ease the process of the whole system.

The Line Gives more independence to the filler. Usually people write in cursive. The line doesn’t persuade users to write in uppercase.

Date Majority of users write in DD MM YYYY format, if not instructed.
Even if instructed to write in MM DD YYYY, they unconsciously write in DD MM YYYY format as they are accustomed to it.
Users by default write only to the last two numbers of the year, if not persuaded by a design element.

Learnings Each and every form is independent with its requirements and its users, hence each of them have to be studied separately keeping these in mind. Designing a form without studying the user leads to lot of confusions. It is one of the main requirement while designing a form. While managing the content one should keep in mind that the process has to be made easy for the user as well as the retriever. This makes the form flawless and speeds up the whole process. Better sensitivity towards design rules. Project 2 | Shravan Muralidhar | Roll No. 10625004
