Motorcycle Series Farm Show Complex - Harrisburg, PA Feb. 20-21, 2010
What a weekend for racing at the 32nd annual Motorama Arenacross and Speed Show at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa. A few changes to the track from the previous year made for some very exciting battles. The whoop section had three more jumps added. The double after the finish line was a bit smaller, and a small berm was added for the riders to rail their bikes around. The big double of last year was replaced by two smaller doubles. Normally this would make things easier, but with all the snow Central PA has seen this February, the dirt was very wet and difficult for the track crew to prep. Just walking around the arena made it feel like the track was a wet sponge. These track conditions gave even “A” class riders like Barry Carston and TJ Philips tons of trouble when trying to land the big double along the wall. Riders were casing the landing, and their front tires were driven five inches into the face, and the rider sent out over the handlebars. Luckily, nobody was seriously injured. The biggest talk from this year was TJ Philips absolutely flying around the
arena floor. Even Barry Carston who has had his pro license after 19 years had nothing for him. TJ had a perfect weekend, sweeping both 250cc and Open “A” classes. In the Open “B” class, Paul San Felice took the win on Saturday, but he was unable to repeat that performance on Sunday. #3 Ritchie Kastle, who had a 3rd on Saturday, stepped it up and took the main event win. #724 Levi Leatherman and #555 Corey Recla took the wins in the 250 “B” class. Open 2w, Open “C,” and 250 2w “C” had some of the biggest rider entries of the weekend. Taking the gates were 19 riders from the Open class and 25 in the 250s. Ritchie Bunting had a good showing on Saturday in the Open “C” class by grabbing second place, but on Sunday he was able to take the top spot on the podium, edging out Colby Fisher. In the 250 “C” class, #121 Thomas Craig had put his head down on both days and took both main event wins. #34x Austin Johnson was also able to walk away with multiple wins, taking top honors in both 50cc 2w 4-6yr old classes on Saturday and Sunday. #81 of Bobby Semelsberger stood on the top spot of the podium on both days in the Youth 65cc 7-9. Hot on his wheels all weekend was the #7 of Austin Daniels, taking the second place spots. Semelsberger was also able to win both mains in the 50cc
7-8. #21 Ryan Clites took wins on both days in the Super Mini class over #941Calvyn Beck. Keep the Throttle Pinned!!! Michael Salerno www.michaelsalernophotography.com

32nd Annual Motorama Arenacross Quad Series Farm Show Complex - Harrisburg, PA Feb. 20-21, 2010 If the track conditions gave the dirt bikes trouble, you know it was going to be interesting for the Quads! The big double in the middle of the arena floor had been replaced by two small doubles. By no means was this easier. To make the second double, you had to precisely nail the landing of the first. The same went for the big double alongside the wall. The only riders who were able to hit were the #19 of Jason “Dunk” Dunkleburger and the #24 of Trevor Borger. In Saturday’s and Sunday’s Mains, some of the top riders for Open “B” classes were Bill Sommer on the #72 Suzuki LTR, #110 Andy Civils, also on a Suzuki, and #23j Justin Carr. In Saturday’s
Mains, Andy Civils used all the horsepower his LTR could muster to over take second-place Justin Feight and third-place Justin Carr for the win. Bill Sommer would have his revenge after finishing 9th on Saturday by taking the overall on Sunday, edging out Civils and Cody Fittery In youth quad divisions on Saturday, 50cc Limited class was won by hard-charging #35d Hunter Dentler, followed by #60x Kobe Von Fosson. Sunday’s main had #88 Rickie Bodine and #918 Julian Coffing fighting for the win the entire race. Bodine was able to hold off a very fast Coffing for the win. #31 of Travis Wotring had a very good weekend, taking overall wins in the Youth 70cc and 90cc CVT class

rider Jason Dunkelberger took both main wins on both days and the Open “A” class win on Saturday. But on Sunday in the Open “A” class, Dunk got together just entering the first corner with #117 Kale Witmer, which sent both quads flipping. Unfortunately for Dunkelberger, race rules state that if a member of a rider’s pit crew enters the track, the rider is disqualified. Since the man to beat was out, this let the door wide open for anyone to win. The #338 Brian Ace, who has been hot on Dunk’s rear grab bar the entire weekend, capitalized and took the Open “A” win on Sunday.

both days. He also won the Sr. Mini class on Sunday and a second on Saturday. The #799 Nicolas Major was the only person to stop Wotring from having a perfect week. In the 200cc 2st/300cc 4st class, #66 Jeff Schwartz and #15 Nick Gennusa battle each other the whole weekend, swapping main event wins. The Open “C” class had 33 entries this year. In Saturday’s main, Dylan Shoop had a very lucky win. Shoop, not getting the best of starts, was able to take the top honors by passing 1st and 2nd place while they were tangled up and held off #97 Tyler Small for the main event win. On Sunday, #122 Billy Keefer dominated the field for the overall win. In the ProAm class, local pro

Delaware Dirt Track Association Banquet Farmington, DE - February 27, 2010 By Bruce C. Walls - Photos By Susan Taylor-Walls Yoder Crowned 2009 DDTA Track Champion FARMINGTON, DE-Delaware Dirt Track Association racers were rewarded for their 2009 season efforts Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Farmington, Del., Fire Hall. Highlighting the evening’s awards was Ken Yoder, crowned 2009 Track Champion. In addition to being named Track Champion, Yoder, an East Earl, PA, Suzuki pilot, earned two championships, topping 450A, where he collected a 6-point advantage over second place Tom Majeski, and in Sportsman A, where he outscored Mike Poe by 13 points 30-17. “Winning combined championships was great, but this is the icing on the cake,” beamed Yoder. Perry Phillips was third in the 450A points count, followed by veterans McGrane and Travis Diem. In Sportsman A, Roy Miller, McGrane and Majeski made up the rest of the field. “What makes these championships special is that the whole series was raced on the same track, and riders just need to come out on top,” Yoder said. Also picking up two championship trophies was Malasa, NJ, based Georgie Price, son of legendary flat

tracker Georgie Price. Young Georgie earned a pair of championships. In 65cc he narrowly beat his 6-year-old brother Jonathan by a single point. In 85cc, he out-distanced Chase Smith by a single point. Jonathan topped the 50cc Division, beating Ford Weber 4 to 3. Trailing Weber in 50cc’s top five were

Logan McGrane, Jacob Humphrey and Chase Smith. “It’s an unbelievable feeling. I’m as proud as can be,” Georgie Price described. “Both kids are doing good. They’re riding real smooth and safe. I don’t really push them. They just take their time. My grandfather told me you be smooth first, and speed will come as you go along.” In 65cc, Smith and Billy Boram were third and fourth, which completed the field. Smith trailed Price in 85cc and was followed in the points count by Kyle McGrane.
“It feels pretty good winning two championships,” said 11-year-old Georgie Price, who pilots Honda and Kawasaki bikes. Goodville, PA, pilot Roy Miller, another Suzuki riding veteran, ruled the 250 Sportsman point count with a 4-point edge over Kevin Bills. “It takes consistency and a lot of help from family,” Miller credited for his championship. “I’d like to thank my wife and kids. I’m just having fun.” Further back Rebecca Zafia and Diem and Tyler Phillips completed the top five in points. Greg Lerch led Open B’s points chase, earning 18 points to edge out brother Steve Lerch, who earned 17 points. Zafia was third again, this time followed in the top five by Anthony Crabbe and Shain Bourssa. Vet A saw Scott Mullen and Ray Jenkins tied for the lead. Mullen won the tiebreaker with more overall finishes, and Jenkins was relegated to second. In the battle for third, Majeski and Ken Halderman were tied at four apiece, with Majeski taking third, Halderman fourth and Don Mullen Sr. fifth in the points fight. “It’s really special because it’s my first year I’ve been into flat track racing for the competition, so that makes it even better to win a first-place trophy,” said Mullen, a Coatesville, PA, based Honda rider. Dan Dougherty dominated Vet B’s points battle, out-scoring Anthony Barndt by three points, 10 to7. Dave Moore was third, followed in the top five by Ron Hipple and Diem. “This is unbelievable,” said the Wilmington,

I basically came in not knowing anybody, and now I have a bunch of friends; Mark, Al, Richard, Bill and all the guys helped me out, and I appreciate it.” Samantha Bergmon bested the 100cc Adult Division, inching by Matthew Lanpher three to two points. Chris Bardoff, Brian Starcher and Mark Tsogeros made up the remaining top five points finishers. Cliff Diem championed 125cc with a 2-point advantage over Ryan Varnes. Kyle McGrane was third. “You have to stay on the bike,” Diem said, adding that he’s been flat track racing since 1966. “I’ll be 64-yearsold in June,” he added with a DDTA Motorcycle Track Champion Ken Yoder smile. President’s Corner MAMA President Corner
to explore vintage motocross racing, encourage learning opportunities at designated motocross/ track events and afford scholarship/financial assistance to those new to the sport interested in vintage motocross racing. If you are interested in learning more, contact racetothegate@comcast. net. The Gold Cup has a program in place to help support our up and coming stars. We want our region to be represented as is our dirt track program. If you are a racer with national level dreams or a former national racer who wants to help a young star, please contact me. We will all travel that road to success. When renewing or making a new application to District 7 please be sure to send the correct funds with your application. The cost of District 7 membership is $25 for your first class and $5 for EACH additional class you sign up for. This applies to Dirt Track this year. All monies for additional cards goes directly to the year-end trophy/awards fund. None of these monies are for administrative costs. Keep your feet on the pegs, go fast and take chances. Wayne Sody
MAMA Members, We are looking forward to a great 2010 season. I hope everybody had a great Christmas and New Year’s and is looking forward to our first race at Budds Creek on March 21, 2010. As you may have noticed from the application posted to our website, we have made some changes. Most notably is the addition of a new 50 class for shaft-driven bikes only. This is good for only little PW riders and should provide for some fun riding. Additionally, we have decided to not only pay out 100% payback for our Open A and 250 A, we also will have a purse in excess of $5,000 dollars to be split among the top riders in these two classes. Now that should provide some great competition. This is possible due to two platinum sponsors and many others that have committed to contribute to this effort, most notably, Accurate Pest Control and The Art of Strength in Waldorf, Maryland. Besides these two organizations, we have many others that we are working with that should provide significant benefit to our members. Stay tuned for additional details.
We are looking forward to implementing a new scoring system for 2010. Don’t forget to get your new transponder either at the first race or by going to http://www. mxtransponder.com/. Each rider can turn in their older transponder at the first race for a $15 dollar credit toward the purchase of a new transponder. This new system is necessary due to the age of our existing system and provides significant flexibility in the depth of the pipe, allowing for more accurate and more timely result reporting. See you at Budds Creek, Don Logan

D7 President’s Corner The District 7 year-end banquet will return to Hunt Valley Marriot this year. This venue seems to attract the most participants and seems centrally located to everyone. John Kernan, our new vice president, has been working hard to make this years’ banquet the best ever. With Tucker Rocky and our local dealership sponsors, this year should be the best ever. Since our banquet will be the first weekend in December all those racing in Florida need not worry. While we encourage all our award winners to come to the banquet to celebrate their seasons, we realize some folks are unable to attend. If you are unable to make the banquet, riders should make arrangements to have their awards picked up. John promises that he’ll bring new ideas and year-end sponsors to the table. He’s already working with Chris Borger on taking photos throughout the year to be placed in the banquet booklet. Anyone who wants to volunteer should contact John at jt151@aol.com. Check out our new rider profile section on the MX link. New this year by Jeff Wroten, D7 MX Vet Chairman, are rider profiles that will be awarded each race to predetermined classes listed on our website. This allows the winner to advertise his sponsors, interests, family and goals on the web. Each race we’ll have three classes to award. The district would like to extend their condolences to the family of longtime district member Jerry Casciero. Jerry passed away suddenly in early March from cancer. Jerry, a district member since 1973, was very active with the AHRMA series. His family has organized a fund, Race to the Gate, in his name, to ‘help others cultivate an interest in and a passion for motorcycle racing while also learning and developing relevant life skills.’ The fund will allow young people and adults to learn about and develop an interest in motorcycles and vintage motocross, provide education, training and mentoring support to those individuals who wish

ECEA Championship Series Scrub Pine Enduro - East Coast Enduro Association 2010 New Lisbon, NJ - March 14, 2010 By Russ Brown - www.dirtriderphoto.com Mother Nature Can’t Stop the Scrub Pine Enduro! On Sunday morning, riders awoke to the sounds of thunder and lightening. A torrential downpour and even hail fell upon the racers, and all seemed lost. However, Mother Nature eased up around 8:30 a.m., just 30 minutes before the start. Trail boss Dave Sheumeister had the members of the Ocean County Competition Riders out at the crack of dawn putting up the last of the arrows and giving the course its final preparation. The Scrub Pine Enduro was on! At 9:01 a.m., the first row of racers left the start. After the 65-mile course, Andrew Delong would take the overall with an unofficial time of 15/525. Chase Compton and Dane Shoeneberg would round out the podium, finishing second and third, respectively. High point A would go to Dan Stoppi Jr., high point B to Justin Linkowich, and high point C to Charles Anderson. Hats off to the OCCR guys for pulling off the near impossible. Upcoming ECEA events include the 73rd running of the Sandy Lane Enduro to be held on March 21, the Curly Fern Enduro on March 28, and the Greenbrier Enduro on April 11. The Ocean County Competition Riders will be holding their annual Hare Scramble on September 26. For more information on the ECEA and their events, visit the ECEA website at www.ecea.org.

Inaugural Race DaytonaShort 2010 Track By Wayne Sody
Daytona International Speedway - Daytona, FL By Wayne Sody After attending Daytona this year, once again, I am pleased to be able to report that our region produces some of the fastest racers in the country. While attending the inaugural short track race at the Daytona International Speedway, our local racers were on top of their game. At the very first ever short track race at Daytona, local Mike Poe took the fastest qualifying time in the Pro Singles division. Erin Kissinger, Jordan Harris, Austin Greenland, Travis Diem, Sam Wiggins, Derrick Hersch, Brody Miller, Rich Heverly, Cody Gillen, Lou Woods, Shayna Texter, John Long, Jake Shoemaker, Evan Baer, Dalton Winkler, and Cory Strickler are all local racers who traveled to Florida to try and make the program. This would be in comparison to qualifying for the lites class in super cross. Jake Johnson, Donnie Mullan, John Lewis, Raun Wood, Jared Mees, Ken Yoder, Brandon Robinson, Chris Carr and Cory Texter all raced for a place in the program in the GNC Singles (Expert) class, which compares to the Supercross class. Out of a total of 167 riders from all over the country, District 6 and District 7 had 26 riders attempting to make the National program and 11 riders who actually made the national finals. Mike Poe took 6th on Wednesday night’s program, along with Jake Shoemaker’s 11th, John Long’s 12th, Dalton Winkler’s 15th and Cory Strickler’s 18th place finish. On Thursday night, Cory Strickler took 7th along with John Long’s 12th place finish. Don’s Kawasaki, Lancaster Harley Davidson, and Bromley Suzuki are just a few local shops that contribute to these
riders’ success. These local shops contribute more that just parts, machinery, and emotional support to let these young and upcoming stars reach for their dreams. All of the above riders have come through the local district programs to become professional racers. All of our hats are off to everyone that has made these racers enjoy their success. You all should be so proud that you came to Daytona and made a mark. In the GNC Singles (Expert), Jake Johnson was on the podium both nights. Jake took a third on Wednesday and won Thursday night’s main event for his fifth Daytona win of his career. He leaves Daytona
leading the Singles Points Division in 2010. Jake has a new sponsor this year, riding a Zanotti Racing Honda CRF 450. Jake also is sponsored by Tucker Rocky wearing Answer gear, which is District 7’s official sponsor this year. Jake came from the second row on Wednesday night fighting a slippery track riding mistake free to pass his way into third place. Jake took the holeshot on Thursday night and again remained mistake free and held off a hard-charging Kenny Coolbeth Jr. for the victory. Slamin’ Sammy Halbert won Wednesday night’s inaugural opening round. Sammy was a fast qualifier but was third off the line. He chased Joe
Kopp, who was riding the high line, and Sammy was on the low line. On lap eight the pass was made, and Sammy checked out. The neat thing about Slamin’ Sammy is that he’s a fairly new rider with an older brother, Jethro Halbert (4th, 5th), who also qualified for the main event from Washington State. When Sammy was on the podium holding his first-place trophy, he talked about Fredericktown Yamaha as one of his sponsors. It takes many years in this business to be fortunate enough to help these young riders with their careers to have your name as a sponsor mentioned at the top of the podium. Congratulations to Richard

#54 for Jordon, won both races. His teammate, Aaron Yates #23 on Brand Jordon Suzuki, took third on Thursday. Friday, Jake passed on the final lap, passing Tommy Hayden at the finish line and won by nine one thousandth of a second (.009). There were two photo finishes in two days. That’s some close racing. Who says rules weren’t made to be changed? The disappointment came the next day when I was fortunate to be able to walk through the super cross pits. To my dismay I could not find one racer in the lites division or super cross division who came from District 6 or District 7. Branden Jesseman, from District 5, was the lone rider from our region to represent this part of the country at Daytona. What is up with that? How can we have 26 riders represent us in Short Track and have zero riders in Super cross? Gary Nixon and Jake Johnson have won national championships in Dirt Track from our area. Travis Pastrana has won a national championship in super cross from our area. This is our heritage, and they come from our region. Why don’t we have motocross racers on the national stage? I could debate that last question for hours, but because I am a man of few words I will get to the point. The “dirt track family” is a term that describes all of the racers listed above. Every one of these riders knows their competitors’ brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles and girlfriends. They travel together across the country. They race in each others’ backyards. They all have ‘former racers’ working with them. The Texter, Bromley, Varnes and McGrain names are families of racers. These are generations of
racers helping racers in Dirt Track, and they help every racer. It doesn’t matter where they’re from or what kind of machinery they’re on. Super cross and Motocross have lost the families and generations of teachers that need to show our younger racers what it takes to reach the next level. I personally would like to challenge our past motocross families to come forth and represent a new racer. Mike
Twigg, Rick Steinbrenner, Mike Moore, Mickey Kessler, Ivan Boyson, Tom Welch, Jeff Yentzer, Damian Plotts, Barry Carston, and yes, Tony DiStefano (former National champion). All of these riders have been in the top 100 in motocross or super cross. I know you all have children that have raced and jobs that take you across the country, but our local racers need your help. We need to give back to the sport that has given us so much. We need to teach and share the experience that we, as professional riders, have learned and can share with the next generation. This region has so much young talent in the youth divisions that the above gentlemen need to extend their knowledge. There is no reason why our motocross program should be so far behind our dirt track program. We couldn’t be more pleased or proud that our region is the best in the country when it comes to dirt track. Our motocross needs to at least be on the radar of the national level. We need help from our former heroes.

and Ian Riley and all of the Fredericktown Yamaha family for your continued support in all of your endeavors supporting these racers. John Lewis took a 6th and a 4th in his return to dirt track racing. John has followed the supermoto series with success, winning a national event the past two years. His return is much celebrated and a welcome sight to have him back home racing locally on a Scott Powersports sponsored Honda CRF 450. Jared Mees placed 10th and 3rd; Donnie Mullen took 11th and 10th; Raun Wood (Scott Powersports sponsored) took 9th and 14th; and Chris Carr took 12th and 15th. Chris is a former national champion along with a land speed record. Some kids just never grow old. Donnie and Raun are both local district and Timonium Indoor champions. Both of these gentlemen can be seen locally tearing up the area’s best tracks. Failing to make the program was last years’ pole sitter, Brandon Robinson. Brandon is coming off some serious injuries. There is no better feeling of satisfaction and pride to be able to walk through the pits and watch our regions’ riders rise to the top of their sport. All of the above riders are approachable and willing to share their racing stories with you, the enthusiasts. Our region congratulates all the above for such a fine representation and sharing in your accomplishments. Friday at Daytona is road race time and home of the two hundred (Daytona 200) under the lights. Heyser Cycle in Laurel, Maryland, sponsors #53 Eric Wood on a Honda CBR 600RR. Team Heyser/ Woodcraft finished tenth in Friday nights’ spectacle that saw some of the closest racing ever. There were five different riders that led during the race. At the beginning there were ten riders in the same draft. The three pit stops are what separated the men from the boys. The Daytona Motorsports Group (DMG) has changed the rules and made for some of the closest racing in years. There are no more runaway winners. Many will argue that the factories are gone, but the racing couldn’t be any closer. All of the riders are basically on the same machinery. We need to give the sport some time to regroup and attract sponsors. Michael Jordon’s Team won their first championship race in superbike. Jake Zemeke, riding the National Guard Suzuki Team

TECH TIPS BY GREG - CYCLE WORKS RACING Proper Motor Oils and Filters Let’s talk about motor oils. That good old lube keeps motors turning, to a point. It can only last so long in a heated environment. Changing the oil, not adding to it at regular intervals, keeps motors healthy. The oil filters, or in some cases oil screens, need to be cleaned and replaced. Filters trap fine metal shavings, dirt and oil that have turned into carbon balls. What are carbon balls, you ask? That is what I call it when the oil was left in the motor way too long and lost its ability to keep the motor lubed and protected. It has started to burn away. When you take a valve cover off to check the valves you can smell the burnt oil and see it sticking to the covers. You go and drain the oil, and it comes out in clumps, black gummy clumps. Those clumps have many fine balls of burnt oil called carbon in them. Carbon then scratches cylinder walls, wears out pistons and rings, destroys bearings, and then engine failure happens. So, changing your filter and oil on a timely schedule will keep it running. Using good ATV or motorcycle oil is better. What? My buddy uses a car oil because it’s cheaper, you say. Here is what is going on inside a four-stroke car motor. Before startup, depending on motor size you have about four to six quarts of oil sitting in the bottom of the motor. The motor starts, and the oil pump pushes oil into the cams and the crank splashes the piston walls. You just have a top end to lube. Most car motors run at 175 degrees and most are under 4,000 rpm. That’s it. Using a kx250f as an example. You have just a little over a quart and a half sitting in the bottom. Start the motor, and the oil pump has to push the oil through small tubes, through the filter, into the crank to lube the pins. Then it lubes the cams in the cylinder head. Also, it has to lube the transmission, which really tears up oil here,
as well as work with a wet clutch and disperse the fibers from it. At normal riding, the motor is running at 200 to 225 degrees and can run up to 14,000 rpm. An ltr450 quadracer only has 600cc of oil sitting in the cases at startup and just 2 seconds later the oil in the oil tank starts coming into the motor. So the oil needs to stay on parts and not drain off when the motor is turned off. Car oil just does not have the properties to do all this like motorcycle oils. Motorcycle oils have the additives in there to keep it together and have a higher burn point and work with a wet clutch. That’s why they cost more. It does a way better job at protecting the motor. Synthetics motor oils are better to use; again, stay away from car synthetics. I heard the rumors: oh, synthetics burned my clutch up, synthetics caused my motor to use oil and burn out through the exhaust. Motorcycle and ATVs that use a wet clutch can’t use car synthetics because those types of oils have graphite, sulfur and, in some cases, molybdenum in them, and that’s the part that attracts to the fiber clutch plates and fills in all the little holes and grooves for the plate to grab. Once filled in, they just slide over the steel plates and then no clutch. Motorcycle synthetics have more zinc and phosphorus, which won’t stick to the clutch, only to steel parts. True, even a motorcycle synthetic oil can cause a motor to burn oil, but after installing a new piston on a fresh bore you must use regular petroleum-based oil so the rings can seat themselves in and create a closing bond. If you use a synthetic right from the start, it is too protective and won’t allow the rings to seat in, allowing compression to go by and oil as well to get mixed in with the fuel air and burned
up with it. And you just wasted a ring set. I have seen people change their oil after 1 or 2 motos on the same day. That’s a waste of oil and money. The oil hasn’t even had a chance to break in yet. On the old small bore 2-strokes, most would keep slipping the clutch to keep the revs up. That would cause extreme clutch wear and make the oil dirty quickly. That’s probably where some habits have come into play now. On the new 4-strokes, you don’t have to slip the clutch to stay in the power. If you do, you need to change riding habits or have the right gearing or have your motor checked because then you’re down on power. A quick talk about 2-stroke premix lubes. Most already know about it and are using good oil. You most likely already know to never use a weed wacker oil, chainsaw or, the worst possible oil to use, outboard motor oil in a premix for an ATV or motorcycle. Why? Those oils just can’t protect against the higher horsepower, the high friction generated by the rpms and burn clean enough to not create carbon and wear out power valve systems and pistons. Outboard motor oil was designed for a motor running in cold water and always pulling cold water in the cooling system, so those motors run so much cooler than your bike motor will ever see. Stay with a good premix oil and remember most petroleumbased premix oils are mixed at 32 to 1; that’s 4 ounces per gallon. Most synthetics are mixed at 44 to 1 or 50 to 1; that’s only 2.5 ounces per gallon. They protect so well and don’t need a lot to do it. Hope that clears a few things up about oils. If you have any other technical questions, email me at greg@cycleworksracing.net. Until next issue, CWR Greg
